Bill is an excellent musician who I have followed from his Be Bop Deluxe days of the 70s to the present time. His music is timeless. A really true legend.
Just rediscovered this, so good, I heard this first time listening to Jon Peel in bed, and loved it, then realised that Bill Nelson used to be in Be Bop Deluxe, and I loved them too
@@seandrew7837 Oh, I don't know. I used to work with a guy who was into Be Bop Deluxe and when I told him I had bought an LP called Quit Dreaming and Get on the Beam, Bill Nelson he then said it's Bill Nelson from Be Bop Deluxe. I didn't know. I had never heard of BBD. I don't know if Bill released it earlier on grey vinyl though. If you have it still keep it for sure. I am not an expert on this just old memories and it was something different to me before I spent my life in the Military. Sometimes things sneak out before being claimed as official and Bill did have his own labels at sometimes. Interesting and thank you.
Excellent ! A big influence on Stuart Adamson of the Skids/Big Country. Quit Dreaming And Get On The Beam is my all time favourite solo album from Bill Nelson.
Don't know if you know much about his work but if you delve deeper, you will recognise his musical genius. For a while in the 70's, he was out selling all major groups.
the song that got me hooked on Bill Nelson. always LOVED the bass riff

The sax is sublime in this all time classic.
Bill sure paints from, a broad palate....post-punk pop through to jazz stylings and ethereal atmospherics - respect !!
Bill was always one of my favourite guitarists. Great to see this small venue concert. Love to see him live.

The bass player ruins this for me. Out of tune (sharp) from about half way through. Shame really, one of my favourite Bill Nelson songs.
Good to see Bill still doing this.
