This is actually pretty similar to my AU. In my AU, CatNap secretly has the monster form that he has in the game that he tries to hide from the others, because he's afraid that they'll hate him and he'll be alone. He has nightmares about him in his monster form of him doing terrible things to the other critters in this form, which almost feel like visions. One night, DogDay sees CatNap in his monster form, but he accepts him, because he has a really strong bond with CatNap (Not a ship though). Eventually, all the other critters find out, and CatNap isolates himself, but everyone accepts him for who he is. Once he opens up to everyone, they assure him that he doesn't have to go through all that alone. I know, it's corny, but that's because this is actually my thought of what would happen in an actual show, and this would be the main arc of Season 1. okay i'm done yapping

Ok so far I am a little disappointed in myself that I forgot tha catnap isn't manipulative, the fact nice catnap manipulated him to weaken his strength is kind of wow, I really forgot about that part. Though so far my theory is proving me right, that catnap would wake up in a void and see "nice" catnaps actions. I just can see that catnap has been neglected, and maybe touch starved (NOT IN A WEIRD WAY). what I mean is that probably everyone kind of ignored him, making him feel alone, and probably as a child his life having no affection, leading to touch starvation and loneliness. A lot of mental issues can occur during these times. A child is vulnerable and needs affection from both parents and friends. If that's not given they are both touch starved and maybe have emotional problems in the future (which seemed to happen with catnap). The child would think it's pathetic to ask for affection bc they were raised like that. (PLEASE DON'T ASK ME WHY I KNOW THESE INFORMATION. No, not from Google btw :>) (IDK IF THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE OR EVEN TRUE it's just my theory)
