The pillar in the kitchen would drive me crazy

Agree. It would put me off of renting the flat even if I could afford it. 🙂

If possible, they should've switched the pantry cupboard space with the fridge space. Yes, the counter length w/b shorter but the work flow would be better.

there is an elephant in the middle of the kitchen and we just are going to ignore it......I love that

It is a "wet" column. Pipes running up/down the building for the plumbing that unfortunately can't be moved.

As soon as I saw "AE" I figured it was a combined apartment---and after seeing the layout of the apartment, especially the kitchen with that huge beam in the middle---that also made me think---that wasn't originally a kitchen...

Two pre war apartments combined into one is kind of nice in this great neighborhood.😊

That pillar in the kitchen is crazy. I have no idea why they would put drawers behind it. You can’t even open them half way. The rest is pretty nice though.

Just another one of the gazillion reasons why I love the older buildings in the city! I am not a fan of the ugly steel and glass 'ice cube trays' that have invaded the city. Pre-war buildings have the best layouts. This apartment is really nice!

Man! The rent is to high for me since I don't make that much money for how much the rent is. Exspecailly when people like me only get 684,00 dollars a month on social security. But it's nice dreaming about living in a much better place then I currently do. But let's face it my American dream is deader than 4 o'clock. Not having any nice dreams just complete nightmares here lately.

The kitchen location is too far from the dining room. Lousy views from the bedrooms with no light. I'll take it. LOL

The apartment was reconfigured, 2 units into one. The kitchen was expanded and walls were taken down. However, those pillars are structural and cannot be removed.

Sign up for low cost housing. Yes it seems like years to wait. However it turns over really fast, especially if it's senior citizen. Granted my mom waited 2 yrs it went by really fast. She no longer struggles as much given the crazy times we live in.

Ох уж эта чудесная колонна посреди кухни и почти напротив плиты! 😆 Гениальное решение! А зачем нужна ручка внутри шкафа? Кто то будет выходить изнутри? 🤭 Надеюсь, не по ночам? 👻
