Somehow missed this in editing but I meant to say “invisibility” when talking about rat king, sorry. Remember that some items on this list were included to fill the “10”. If you think something doesn’t belong, I would love to hear what you would substitute it with!
Hey TDT, I know you've been using MIDA a while and I was surprised you didn't come up with a special weapon for MIDA synergy to work with. I think because of it's pvp focus and range profile a shotgun might be fun with it. Maybe max out handling on both weapons for a quick shotgun swap? That or a fusion, throw in the catalyst giving "MIDA Harmony" (a play on the perk harmony) to buff damage for one gun when you get a kill with the other. I also think, although it's not in the video, Sturm could get the same love. Because I feel it's more of a pve gun maybe a wave frame to pair it with. I personally am not in love with wave frames because I feel special weapons should be able to quickly kill bigger targets (I almost exclusively use fusions and conditional), but Sturm can do the big damage and the wave could do the ad clear, it's flipping the special and primary ammo rolls. It'd also be interesting if Sturm got multiple shots based on how many kills the wave frame gets, and if Sturm kills reloaded the wave frame... quite the loop.
Wicked implement should instead fire what is essentially a duskfeild grenade as a bullet on max stacks of chilling a target, so for every freeze done by the gun, it can fire a duskfeild round. What do you think?
This will probably get lost in the shuffle but The Jade Rabbit has a very unique place in Destiny's history. Years ago there was a reddit post from a mans wife describing his severe brain damage and how Destiny was helping with his recovery and regaining his motor skills. The post gained massive traction and Bungie responded. What followed was truly awesome IMO. Bungie was working on Jade Rabbit but it hadn't been released yet. Turns out this mans favorite archetype was scouts, so Bungie sent to him, and him ONLY an exotic called Fate of all Fools. This was a prerelease of Jade Rabbit of course as the catalyst is called Fate of all Fools.
@TDTPRODUCTIONS 7:17 There is 1 lightweight auto I believe it is a green engram and it's called "JIANGSHI AR1" from what I remember. So I definitely agree a lightweight legendary and an exotic would be nice companions.
I think like he said not the most original idea, but giving Bad JuJu kinetic tremors is a good idea as it has every other perk going it might as well have that or some sort of firefly
I love Juju so much... She is my first ever exotic, hurts to see her fall down so low hurts me. I wanted to buff her explosives and maybe tremors, just anything to make viable again
Vigilance Wing got a full auto replacement as well if I remember correctly. Last Word and Juju just got straight ignored. Well Spring on Juju might be decent without being OP.
Honestly, wellspring or demolitionist would work well with the rest of its kit, especially for something good in PVE and helpful but not game breaking for PVP
@@stuartbagley2586 I also think killing tally might be good on bad juju because one destiny has a weird interaction with weapon perks that increases damage that is rare to see. Two it lets you get it’s exotic perk up even faster
This isn’t a problem with these weapons, in isolation. Rather, it’s an issue of how far Kinetic-flavored weapons are falling behind the elemental-flavored weapons (at least for PvE). We know Bungie staff are aware of this; that’s why we saw Kinetic Tremors get introduced into the sandbox.
@@TDTProductionsbut i think kinetic weapons shouldnt have to resort to the elemental verbs to feel good, i feel like bungie needs to embrace the kinetic slot and do more unique things with it
its nice having kinetic slot weapons that can pair with your subclass but i still think it shouldn't just be "slap a verb on there and make it fun", i would like to see more of a kinetic revolution that brings kinetic weapons on level with energy's in not only performance but fun factor as well
yea, its better to run strand or stasis weapons for perks like headstone chill clip slice and hatchling. NTM special weapons are better kinetic due to the 10% dmg buff or something on them. get more use out of it since specials base dmg is so high in the first place. tremors are neat but they are harder to proc than one tapping a minor for a stasis crystal and popping that, or Dragon fly energy primaries. theres really not a great space for kinetic primaries. i used to bring last word into pve alot bc i like the weapon alot but at this point theres zero reason to use it
Kinetic tremors sucks though, really. Not once outside of do-it-blind content have I been glad I had it. The seasonal artifacts just make energy weapons sooooooo much better. Voltshot, incandescent, they run rings around KT. Throw in a mod like this season for extra solar explosions and gaaaad dayum. KT need a buff big time. The total damage it does is woeful vs energy explosions, plus it takes too long to proc so every gun only gets about 2 KTs per mag. Whereas energy weapons are almost every shot.
Target lock seems fitting, however it’s magazine percentage that determines the amount of buff. Sweet business should not demand a 100% magazine accuracy
i feel like the wicked is heavily underrated, it feels amazing for GMs that have either or both unstops and overloads and the same goes for legend lost sectors. its my go to for solo activity's on a stasis osmio warlock
It's another weapon that the catalyst feels nearly mandatory. Headstone with the current artifact can both freeze nearby enemies on kill and do decent damage on shattering the crystal.
Same. Don't understand why that weapon is on the list, it's one of my favourite and it's quite powerful. I think Cryosthesia (the Stasis Sidearm) would have been a better candidate for being in the list.
A new catalyst idea I’ve had for cerberus+1 is Magnetic Submunitions. Dealing damage in the normal firing mode would magnetically charge the rounds in the center barrel. Activating the alt-fire mode would guide the shots from the other 3 barrels to where the center barrel hits.
Vigilance Wing. Kills contribute to a stacking meter. more stacks for kills while fireteam members are dead. Full stacks switch to alternate firing mode (grenade launcher essentially that you can fire at an allies orb and it will revive them from a distance).
Weird comparison, kinda like inspire in payday 2 where you can shout at someone from a short distance, being 10-12 meters at most, and they instantly get back up
Holy crap, a trials exotic rewarding trials gameplay and having a spot in general endgame? I love it It may be less used in raids but is a good pick me up exotic
I like the Sweet Business shield idea but I think it should be a shield that comes up from the top of the gun as it is fired and reduces crit damage to bodyshot damage (or removes the crit box entirely).
sweet business would be crazy if got a glavie shield but what if it worked like the heir apparent with either woven mail or the new stasis armor buff that bungie said is coming it would be awsome
The way I was thinking of it working would be to reduce crit damage only as it is spun up with the maximum reduction being 100%. So you have to shoot a sweetbusiness guardian in the body or from behind to do damage.
No if bungie gave a shield to sweet business that would remove any idea of the Fabian strategy coming back with a big buff that could work with it front lines perk. P.s. I love the Fabian strategy model and the shield idea works with it
@@ZY_Nightmare , this dude is talking about a little shield on top of the gun, would only block crits. Heir apparent is just a massive fuck you bubble that protects you from everything from every direction.
Ok huckleberry is not at all bad, Especially since it has og rampage, not this puny rampage, and when i say og i mean 65% extra damage on 3 consecutive kills, i do think its both pve and pvp forgive me if im wrong
@@TDTProductions Oof-that iiiis a good point. That or having a Titan ally running Rally Barricade. :x Maybe just a “Deploy Mode” like the XMGs from COD:AW? Deploy Mode greatly reduced recoil, increased range, and fire rate. But in exchange: you can’t move laterally, only had about a 120 degree turn radius, and exiting Deploy Mode took longer than deploying. That way all classes can theoretically enjoy it, we get a little callback to the Halo 3 turrets, and the downsides encourage relocating or eat a grenade. After the ‘nam flashbacks that is D1 class exotics…it’s probably best to not repeat it.
it will always feel weird to me that "the gun reliably is able to land shots on target" is something that gets guns nerfed in a game about gunplay that feels good
Giving Bad Juju more interaction with your super could be fun, like increasing the damage of supers after stacking a string of kills, or gaining more super energy from killing enemies afflicted with a debuff or poison
I think that Sweet Business should have Kinetic Tremors, foreven more explosions, or have a way to adapt it to your subclass element. And I want Actium War Rig to grant damage resistance on sustained fire
Personally, I believe Revision Zero should be on the list. It's really clunky to use and feels like a budget Vex Mythoclast. It's okay, the sniper mode is about the only thing that it really has going for it, and intrinsic anti-Barrier I guess is a benefit? If I wanted an anti-Barrier primary I'd just use Wish-Ender, which actually deals damage unlike Revision Zero. If Revision Zero was a standard three-burst then it would be absolutely cracked in the Crucible, but the weird two-burst and four-burst fusion makes it really underwhelming.
That was a pretty good catalyst idea for Last Word! It being my favorite weapon and all I kinda feel like it deserves a little more, so maybe add a little auto loading holster onto it so it’s always ready for a fight, and that would be PERFECT!
Before Lightfall, I used Bastion a lot in GMs because it used to be the most reliable instant stun in the Kinetic slot, which will make me always appreciate it even if Conditional power crept it
Dmt just needs its damage buff back and id be happy. ive said it before but I WISH the Last Words catalyst was some combo of Box Breathing (as a throwback to First Curse) and Target Lock, it would be pretty fun that way and useable, though if you wanted to get spicy, Field Tested and Kinetic Tremors.
Vigilance Wing, Mida Multitool, and The Last Word were all fantastic weapons when they first dropped. It wasn't until the crucibabies figured out how to abuse them that they were nerfed to oblivion. TLW has actually been nerfed multiple times
A fun idea for Last Word catalyst would be after getting a final blow the ads mode turns into first curse from D1 where it has increased range and slower rate of fire when you ADS.
Honestly, I think the Wicked Implement is in a decent spot rn because, if anti-barrier scouts is in the artifact or you have a source of radiant in your build, it lets you deal with all 3 champions types with a single primary weapon from a safe distance.
Hunters who main lucky pants and solar: (in gollem voice) "yes, yes, give me last word that make me radiant. Yes. It wouldn't make my 1mil+ damage solar build deal more damage, oh no no. It would just be fun to see."
I really think that if you took Bad Juju’s hidden trait alongside its super-restoring properties, you could make a very fun gun. Like remove hip-fire grip and like bake it in to the gun, but give it another perk instead that grants ability energy gains the more powerful that String of Curses becomes (like a better Wellspring) and it reloads automatically when you use abilities if String of Curses is strong, and when String of Curses is at it’s peak power, it creates those cursed thrall-like explosions on kills that can chain.
Having recently used Wicked Implement to complete the catalyst, I think it would be cool to give it an alternate fire function similar to Touch of Malice, where it fires an Aoe slowing effect after stacking Creeping Attrition enough times
As a pve/pvp lucky pants m&k last word enjoyer, the radiant idea sounds cool. Perfectly fits the lore, too, with Shin Malphur. Personally a specialised target lock catalyst or cascade point sounds like a lot of fun.
I want Sweet Business to get substance (maybe an amped-up version given how many rounds to shoot out of this when ramped up) AND a perk that (after getting it up to max RPM) grants scorch due to your barrels getting so hot. This would give you a reason to just ad slay while holding the trigger down forever AND make it unique as a kinetic that can grant scortch.
And it would let other classes use it more effectively since titans have actium war rig, the titan exotic that slowly refills auto rifle and machine gun ammo
Vigilance Wing was among the first exotics I got starting the game and it was super exciting because I thought the perks would be always active in solo play (which is all I do due to no friends). I think it would be good to make it work like that, or maybe have the perks work at a reduced efficiency so it fits into the solo niche in a way that no other weapon does. It doesn't have to be best in slot or anything, but at least there will be a situation where its a clear contender for.
Idea: Cerberus +1 does the same thing that Vex Mythoclast does, in that after a few kills the alt fire becomes a literal shotgun, it’s kinda boring now that we have 2 other guns that do the same thing, but it would fit the vibes of the gun
For The Last Word, I've had this idea for a while, making the catalyst this perk that functions like Opening Shot, but for the first 3 bullets in the mag instead of being on a timer. Meaning extra range and accuracy in the first 3 shots. If it is too OP, make it like pseudo lucky pants, and activate after draw with a full mag
I won't lie, DMT is the best pvp gun I've used in the entire game. It easily got me my gambit 4k for malf, it popped off in crucible and just feels so good and I currently have the DEFAULT roll aka it's strong as hell and it can get even better.
Doesn't wicked implement also have headstone with the catalyst? I don't have it yet cause I'm missing the damn nessus fish but I seem to remember it getting a buff.
In Borderlands pre sequel there was an ability that allowed you to essentially play a minigame where you selected the element of your next shot. Something like this on MIDA but with champion stuns could be interesting.
Your take on Mida is spot on and even fits with the description of the gun. A multitol could be used to stun. All champions and box breathing is perfect for p. V. P. That would make that a completely balanced gun.
I have an idea for Sweet Business. Keep the flinch reduction catalyst, but build onto it. - Vorpal Weapon (It's already an AR, give it a little oomph in PvE, and it's a nice bonus in PvP), or give it Hakke Breach Armaments (less ideal, but livable considering what I'm proposing). - Kills with this weapon refill the magazine, the percentage of the refill based around the target killed (no more actium war rig meme build, BUT that means that AWR can have some buffs/changes of its own). - This weapon doubles/triples your strafe-speed while spun up (since its identity is literally walking forward and holding down the trigger). - This weapon gains a subclass specific modifier/damage type while it's equipped: Void gives weaken when the weapon is fully spun up (like Target Lock, but more useful in more situations imo), Solar gives an ignition on a precision kill, Arc Jolts targets under sustained fire, Stasis grants slow stacks on rapid precision hits (leading up to freezes on beefier targets), and Strand grants woven mail when the weapon is fully spun up. Why no Target Lock? Because the perk shouldn't be in PvP, period. It's caused us enough grief already, and there's no *flavor* to just dumping that on a gun.
Sweet business could use target-lock as a catalyst. It would be literally perfect for the "gung-ho sit on the trigger" fantasy that wouldnt really tamper pvp in a meaningful way (since target-lock is magazine size based) but would GREATLY buff it in pve (dps and tanky targets go VRRRRRRRRRRR)
WIcked Implement would be very fun if is slow would apply through a explosion around the target on its shots. Lean into the whole control aspect of the weapon and the control aspect of Stasis. Killing slowed targets should also give you part of a stasis overshield (whenever we get that in the future).
Huckleberry’s catalyst should give you 20 rounds back into the gun but also allows you to overflow the magazine so that you could mow down smaller targets and use the larger magazine and increased fire rate on bigger enemies. That’s what I always feel like the huckleberry was missing a chance to fully use ride the bull perk on it cause of such a small amount of ammo it has in the mag
My two cents on a couple of these: Bastion -give it kinetic tremors but not like the current kinetic tremors perk. Kinetic tremors like Telesto's delayed void explosion. So each round that comes out of the Bastion will have delayed shockwaves. You could fire the three shot burst in a hallway and shut it down for 5 or 6 seconds, plenty of time to run away or maybe even flank an enemy. Plus there's no bright purple spot on the floor alerting your enemy to back up. In PvE, you could be hitting kinetic tremors on 3 different orange bars at one time if they're close enough to each other. Last Word- have it do crit damage on body shots for the first 5 seconds (or first 3 shots fired) after swapping to this weapon. It has such a slow swap with the gun spin animation that we need something in exchange. Huckleberry- give it field-tested but on crack. The weapon accrues stacks that increase range, stability, and handling until it's basically a 900 rpm auto rifle. All stacks wipe once you pop your super. Vigilance Wing - give it a boosted heal clip that grants restoration x2 for 4 seconds to nearby allies Random idea: Bungie has a problem with armor. You only need like one or two sets of armor and you're good. So why not tie armor perks to weapon foundries. Let all Tex Mechanica weapons get a +20 handling & reload speed when at least three Tex Mechanica armor pieces (from Spire of the Watcher) are equipped. This could give us a reason to chase armor beyond just the perks for seasonal activities. The boost here would help DMT, Huckleberry, & Last Word without having to tune them individually.
Ever since red war, ive always wanted a raid to take away your subclass abilities. Or if anything, force us to use the darkness. I really just wish that bungie would pull us away from well because now it's all about how can this sync with solar or how quickly can i get well back.
Personally I don't think bastion really needs to be changed. It is not a pvp weapon but has it utility in pve. Is usually used for object damage, such as one-shotting blights in prophecy or two-shotting crypt security. It also has good utility with its instrinsic champ stun allowing you to potentially stun multiple unstops at the same time with a single burst.
With Sweet Business, why not have a "Hold X/Reload to spin the barrels up" mode, like the opposite of Cerberus, something to also add to Suros Regime that changes it fire mode without going into the menu.
Here are some ideas for exotic buffs for some of the ones mentioned. Bastion: The unstoppable perk becomes part of the intrinsic, it gets kinetic tremors, and can crit. Dead Mans Tale: Max stacks gives it explosive rounds when hip firing. If not that, then revert the change to it's accuracy on hip fire and give it a slight damage buff or at least crit buff. Bad Juju: Give more super energy the more stacks you have. Max stacks gives grenade and melee energy as well. MIDA Multitool: Couldn't really think of much other than kinetic tremors. Sweet Business: Getting a kill grants you a stacking buff that increases how fast your next pull of the trigger spins the barrel. When you reload or stop firing, you will love some (stop firing) or all (reload) stacks unless you got kills during that time. Stacks can be obtained on kills other than the weapon itself as well. Wicked Implement: Primarily just a crit or small damage increase. I haven't got the weapon myself but I feel Scouts should really get a buff as, despite them having good range, their damage is not the best and currently and they are meant for long range. Who thought a long range weapon should feel so weak?
This might be far fetched but what if they made Mida Multi tool the first SPECIAL scout rifle, that way there would be reason to use it with the mini tool for their synergy together. 👀
MIDA getting an alternate reload that just puts in a different magazine to become an auto sounds cool as heck, like it just rechambering itself automatically. That's a cool scifi concept while also being grounded in reality a bit.
Two ideas for The Last Word. First idea: Scoring multiple precision hits while hip-firing charge a powerful more farther reaching shot that can be used while in ADS. Second idea: Long Reload to activate High Noon (my version). Requires atleast one stack of Fan Fire to activate. Multiple stacks give a longer buff duration. While High Noon is active your fire rate is slowed, movement is impaired and you have a faint golden glow around you, but you gain more powerful shots (increased range and damage). Additionally you gain bodyshot damage resistance while in this mode. Getting kills in this mode extends the timer by 2 second.
I feel like these can be a perk for most Tex Mechanica weapons in general. Something where they get firing line or something similar where everyone gets increased rof and reload speed when using the same weapon close to each other. Tying the weapons closer to a cowboy aesthetic like a posse. The idea with Vigilance Wing is nice with the cure idea though the proc could be where you get an assist or shooting the same target would apply a vengeance perk where then getting the kill grants cure
For Vigilance Wing, one buff that I feel would be in line with the flavour is that it gets desperado with allies death, of course this means it would need a slight nerf to the range of detection of ally death but nonetheless would be fun to use.
Heres an idea for Huckleberry. its rampage stacks up to 6 times, manually reloading consumes all rampage stacks both overfilling the magazine and increasing fire rate by 5 and 3% per stack.
It'd be nice for Sweet Business to start then keep a wind up when you ADS (kinda like how the mini gun worked in Time Splitters 2) up to a certain speed so you can start shooting sooner and help it be more versatile with other weapons in the sandbox in general.
have you tried wicked impliment with its catalyst? it gets headstone and when you break the stasis crystals the shards track to you and reload part of the magazine up to 30 something if memory serves.
Quicksilver storm exists, I'm sure they can use that as a framework to turn Cerberus+1 into a weapon of similar function, except shotgun. Heck you could argue that Revision Zero is in a similar camp. Using the default firing mode of the gun to build up a secondary special weapon type function.
It's so interesting seeing this video as a player who quit years ago just before witch queen. I know about all of these exotics (except wicked imp)- and remember when each of them (except cerb) was actually really good and popular. Really hammers home just how bad power creep is, how it finds its way into everything.
The thing with kinetic weapons is Bungie's treating their nature as kinetics more as a limitation than an opportunity. Its a chance to put subclass keywords outside of their normal elements. Why not let Bad Juju give you Devour? Why not let Last Word give you Radiant. Let Sweet Business give you a Void Overshield at full spin.
I was initially sad my favorite exotic, Jade Rabbit, was on this list, and then you described the most ideal buff for it I could imagine. I would love that.
So you're basically saying you want the sweet business to be Heir Apparent with infinite ammo correct? because that is what you said in your video. Well alluded to.
Wicked implement rework idea - Stasis shards gives a stack to actrition while also overflowing the magazine, and shattering enemies encased causes shards to fly out and apply stacks of slow to enemies around them. Kinda like the artifact mod this season
Last word getting cascade point would be a fun power fantasy perk. Maybe give it quickdraw on top of it for the ultimate fastest hand in the west fantasy. Sweet business could get some form of offhand strike. Barrel constrictor for cerberus +1 could be interesting.
I'd like if Bad Juju had it's obscure ability to create cursed thrall explosions if you string enough kills without reloading formalised and made more frequent. Say making it so precision kills have a small random chance to make explosions, and the chance increases with each stack of string of curses, maybe even up to being guaranteed at x5. It's strictly worse than firefly/ dragonfly since it's random chance based, but it'd be nice as a small addition on top of the pre-existing rampage subsistence thresh hipfire setup it has. Part of Juju's vibe is how simple it is; gun shoot, kill, gun now shoots harder, keep killing to avoid reloading, do well and your super will be up often. It is just a regular gun with some sword logic influence after all, "If you believe your weapon wants to end all existence, then so it will." is both the lore quote from Toland and basically the entire explanation as to how this thing is an exotic & where it's traits come from. Adding too much/ anything too involved would probably make it feel like a different gun all together.
Sweet business is arguably not "bad' at all, it's literally the Devotion from titanfall 2, spin up sure, but in pvp type combat if you prefire this thing, like devotion is freaking UNSTOPPABLE. Adding a frontal shield to sweet biz, would essentially turn you into something akin to the Legion titan lol. Honestly though, i love the idea of both franchises having some of those synergies hahah
huckleberrys rampage is the pre shadowkeep unnerffed version that does 22 44 and 66 percent damage. they left it that way to make it stand out but they never added that text to the weapon so anyone that didnt play at that time doesn't even know that.
Thought of a neat way huckleberry could be reworked. Huckleberry Intrinsic Perk: Ride the Bull Increased rate of fire, recoil, and movement speed while holding down the trigger. Kills improve Ride the Bull build up and partially reloads the magazine. (Would have a charge bar buff) Exotic Perk: Seeing Red Ride the Bull lingers for a short period as well as grant amplify and improve damage when fully built up. Catalyst: Stampede Greatly improve walking speed and base jump height while amplified. (This would grant the buffs you get from sprinting while amplified without having to sprint)
Hello! Bad Juju main here, i ise it in both game modes. Give it osmosis/reload combo. Change the catalyst to be named Witchcraft: kills with charged abilities change this weapons energy type to the matching type and reloads the weapon
As a dmt main, I think its in such a good spot right now. You actually have to aim if you want to hipfire, and it doesnt delete from across the map with hipfire either. However, if the rpm in hipfire was changed to 140 so it can compete with hcs, it would be able to compete and be a very nice skill first option. My other suggestion if improving ttk is too good would be dramatically increase its flinch resistance while hipfiring, thats one of the main drawbacks of using it since its accuracy and aa are so tight, a tiny flinch will cause you to miss and it does not feel good
I love your idea for the frontal shield on Sweet Business sounds fun for the weapon’s identity. Not that I like Bungie throwing a perk on a gun and calling it a day but something I would also love for the Business to have is ambitious assassin. ALSO, maybe the explosive shot deals damage based on your subclass, just to add a bit of flavour to the shot for some possible synergy
Maybe wicked implement could get a agers style effect when you break stasis crystals. Get a kill, spawn a crystal, shoot it, damage and slow/freeze things nearby.
I really do love the different firing modes for the Mida, since it is called a MULTI TOOL having the different options available makes both the name fitting for the gun as well as seeing more use to it in both pve and pvp. Maybe have it be like call of duty where you can switch the way it fires while it’s in your hand or something but I don’t think it’s gonna happen, it’s nice to dream tho
Wicked Implement is fine imho because that "chill clip' perk means it can safely bully Overload and Unstoppable champions at a safe distance with infinite ammo. I actually think the perk I'd give TLW's catalyst is a variant on Magnificent Howl, where instead of 2 rapid crits making one body shot do more damage, instead we give it rapidly landing three crits (one 3-tap in PVP) increases Crit damage for the rest of the magazine (resets on reload, bodyshot, or miss). While active, you'd be able to give it back its "in lore" 2-tap ability (remember back when it crit for 100+ damage hipfired in D1) as a PVP buff, but you'd also give it a PVE buff for any Lucky Pants shenanigans.
What I actually want for Last Word is a seamless change in firing mode when adsing. Make the player stop fanning the hammer while aiming down the sights and make it nice and long range when firing normally too like it had rangefinder
When the catalyst for Cerberus+1 first released, it had a bug where if you spam-shot instead of holding down the firing button, you could shoot in its alternate fire much faster, and it actually came down to a better damage output at close range, while being much more risky in most situations, but actually had some benefits. They fixed it within a week or less, then it's been as bad as it still stands today. Increasing that fire rate or increasing the damage greatly per shot in that mod would make a much bigger difference. If the alternate mode is too potent for the amount of bullets it has without having to reload, then they can make it so during the alternate mode, it consumes more ammo per shot, bam. Last Word is a very fun weapon to use, but one that I wish I had a reason to use at all, as a non-controller, PvE-main player. It's cool, it's fun, but also utterly useless in the PvE sandbox. I really wish they gave the gun better PvE incentives to use it. Huckleberry is still pretty good today, the perks and all FEEL boring, but the gun is still pretty strong, especially when you realize the Rampage perk on it is much stronger than it is on other guns. Despite that, the sad reality is not that the gun is bad, just that it's been outclassed. Aggressive frame with 30 magazine size? Nothing that helps dealing with champions? Abysmal reload speed if you don't manage to get a kill with the whole magazine? As much as the damage and ad-clearing potential of the gun is insane, there are times where legendary SMGs with Frenzy, a much lower damage perk, brings in so much utility overall that it's worth using over locking you out of an exotic weapon slot. Bastion's always been a strange case, it's always been bad, if not damn-right terrible since its release, in my eyes at least. Especially when it had the buggy gimmick of swords back then that they had to remove, where half of the damage pierced through the target's shield to damage its health directly, instead of working like every other weapon. When I saw them slap Unstoppable on it, that was the day I gave up on Bungie knowing proper weapon balance, because there isn't a single goddamn situation in this game you'd bring in this weapon as a Unstoppable champion stunner. It's like the ONE special ammo exotic in the game that gimps you harder than running double primaries at that point. The damage of the gun is awful, the charge rate is awful, having no damage perks is awful, this gun is just awful, especially if they don't revisit it soon enough. I'd -almost- recommend using Cerberus+1 over this thing, it's how little good it does. Bastion gives you a false sense of confidence in opportune situations, making you think "Oh I have an exotic special ammo weapon, I got this" before you die realizing that you did the equivalent of shooting a scattering of raisins at your enemy. At least Cerberus+1's limitations are very obvious and helps you being more aware of your mortality, which will help you play more safe and stay alive, which is more than I can say about Bastion, sad to say.
Two thoughts: 1- Bastion. If all 3 slugs in the final burst hit, it causes a single kinetic tremors type aoe. If the aoe kills, it causes a mini-bubble. 2- The Last Word. First hipfire shot after drawing has additional damage and aim assist, similar to mag howl. If it kills, you get radiant, the next shot has the same buff and so on.
A small buff for Sweet Business could be - Kills make it fully spun up for a short time(3-5 seconds?) - it would allow you to slightly reposition without the noise in PvP, and killing a thrall in PvE would have full speed instantly. Also, I think Exotics should always be at least somewhat interesting in PvE, I'm down for them adding functionality that only works on 'minions of darkness' that would break PvP, like Last Word, it could return rounds for hip-fired headshots, but again, only against minions of darkness.
I would very much enjoy if DMT leaned even more into the quick draw hip-fire playstyle, like a longer lasting (maybe 1.5 scs) precision instrument, to help feed the quicker rate of fire offered by Cranial Spike, and as a complement to Dark Forged Trigger
i preferred having the target lock perk put on a 120 legendary scout rifle though because it honestly feels right and it's 10x easier to hit an enemy weak spot on many enemies then you struggling the entire time
Bad Juju: Alongside String of Curses, change hipfire grip to a new perk. Monument of Swords - Precision kills create a taken mine. It will explode on it's own after a short delay, or will explode faster if approached by an enemy or if shot by friend or foe. DMT: Revert it back to launch, when it had faster rate of fire when hipfired. Then, rework the stacks you get to increasing hipfire accuracy and damage. If you want to be super god at long range like before, you have to ADS before hand and work with that slower rate of fire. Huckleberry: It already has a home in momentum. It's a nightmare in any sort of momentum-esque gamemode with super fast times to kill. If anything, increase the recoil of it the longer it shoots, but don't give it a cap. Let the rate of fire and recoil build to nauseating levels if you can handle it. Cerberus+1: Alt fire shouldn't be *just* explosive rounds, but only 1/4 of the alt fire should be explosive rounds. The other three should be some combination between all "ammo types" you see in perk columns. Armor Piercing, High Caliber, Ricochet, Accurized, Seraph etc. On top of increasing the general range, each bullet fired with the alt fire enabled should be randomly selected from the list. So you could get Explosive payload and Timed Payload alongside Richohet Rounds and Armor Piercing on the first shot fired, but it only applies to one bullet each and it changes by the time cycles back into firing the second shot of ammo.
I had just realized earlier today that there's no kinetic heavy weapon. It'd be interesting if they'd make one since kinetics are, like most of the ones in this video, getting left in the dust. I'd like an LMG, but that's just my favorite weapon type. Maybe a larger version of Sweet Business? I know that Grand Overture, Heir Apparent, and Xenophage exist, but those are arc and solar. But maybe a gatling or chainsaw grip style LMG that gets Kinetic Tremors and Target Lock? Or maybe hits builds up a charge and holding reload swaps it to a Danger Close like explosive shotgun blast. Possibly the latter being it's catalyst. I think that'd be fun, especially if it sounds more like an IRL gatling for that sweet, sweet, BRRRT. As for this list, I definitely agree. Of the ones I have from here, they just feel a little short of the mark. Even though using Actium and Sweet Business is hilarious when running Banner of War Titan lol. Cerb is one I am interested in, but it's just eh. I think that one would benefit from getting Kinetic Tremors what with having multiple barrels fire at someone. I feel like it would thematically make sense?
I like the shotgun idea for Cerberus, but I think something that might be better is have the catalyst act as revision zero. For example, something like “After 2 kills, you can hold reload to turn the gun into an actual shotgun that can one-tap.”
For the Cerberus, I think the spread of the regular mode and the catalyst mode should switch so the regular mode with more range has less spread and the close range alt mode would have more spread. Then buff the damage of the close range mode to compensate. This makes both modes better and makes swapping modes have a real purpose.
As someone who loves bad juju I feel they should replace hip fire with some custom version of encore that stacks with string of curses, since it’s based off chaining kills this would actually make it worth using for more people
Somehow missed this in editing but I meant to say “invisibility” when talking about rat king, sorry.
I don’t think Huckleberry should be on there, just bc of the catalyst, it makes it a 6v6 machine(I have 14k on it)
@TDTPRODUCTIONS 7:17 There is 1 lightweight auto I believe it is a green engram and it's called "JIANGSHI AR1" from what I remember. So I definitely agree a lightweight legendary and an exotic would be nice companions.
I just wish they'd given Bad Juju another perk to replace full auto like they did for Travellers Chosen and No Time.
Indeed. This is why a handful of my suggestions tie in the verbs despite being kinetic like how the Rat King works
Daily request to Bungie that Sweet Business gets target locks as its catalyst
Please, I need this!
Target lock seems fitting, however it’s magazine percentage that determines the amount of buff.
Sweet business should not demand a 100% magazine accuracy
@@Aegxs Give it a perk like target lock that doesn’t require 100% accuracy.
Oh nooo 💀
Yo that’d be sweet actually
i feel like the wicked is heavily underrated, it feels amazing for GMs that have either or both unstops and overloads and the same goes for legend lost sectors. its my go to for solo activity's on a stasis osmio warlock
I agree. I do not think Wicked Implement should have been on this list at all. I have over 15k kills on mine currently 🤣
Wicked implement IS the multi tool.
I love it
It may be less used in raids but is a good pick me up exotic
7:00 There is a lightweight auto. It’s a green called Jiangshi
because people use weapons under the legendary rarity, right
@@nenessweatyknife in pvp , yeah
I like the Sweet Business shield idea but I think it should be a shield that comes up from the top of the gun as it is fired and reduces crit damage to bodyshot damage (or removes the crit box entirely).
That’s just Heir Apparent’s perk. I think the Target Lock idea I saw on another comment makes sense
sweet business would be crazy if got a glavie shield but what if it worked like the heir apparent with either woven mail or the new stasis armor buff that bungie said is coming it would be awsome
Its ok, almost didn’t put it on the list.
@@TDTProductionsno hate man but you were wrong for that huckleberry slander #JusticeForHuckle
Huckleberry just needs some extra oomph to give it more of an exotic feel. Maybe giving it a stability boost when hip firing could do something for it
What if Sweet Biz could attach to rally barricades like a turret? Maybe ADSing pre-revs the weapon?
That would lock it into a Titan weapon tho
@@TDTProductionsOutside of AC-130 warlocks, it’s basically already a Titan only weapon already
@@TDTProductions Oof-that iiiis a good point. That or having a Titan ally running Rally Barricade. :x
Maybe just a “Deploy Mode” like the XMGs from COD:AW? Deploy Mode greatly reduced recoil, increased range, and fire rate. But in exchange: you can’t move laterally, only had about a 120 degree turn radius, and exiting Deploy Mode took longer than deploying. That way all classes can theoretically enjoy it, we get a little callback to the Halo 3 turrets, and the downsides encourage relocating or eat a grenade.
After the ‘nam flashbacks that is D1 class exotics…it’s probably best to not repeat it.
The ads rev definitely is something that needs to exist.
it will always feel weird to me that "the gun reliably is able to land shots on target" is something that gets guns nerfed in a game about gunplay that feels good
Giving Bad Juju more interaction with your super could be fun, like increasing the damage of supers after stacking a string of kills, or gaining more super energy from killing enemies afflicted with a debuff or poison
Yeah Revision feels more like an experiment Bungie abandoned then and actual finished exotic.
revision zero w/ hakke two-burst is theoretically going to be the highest DPS primary in the game in TFS, for whatever that's worth
I feel like xenophage and the extoic glaves for every class should be talked about and hard light as well
That was a pretty good catalyst idea for Last Word!
A fun idea for Last Word catalyst would be after getting a final blow the ads mode turns into first curse from D1 where it has increased range and slower rate of fire when you ADS.
little know fact, at pax West 2017 the dev who created sweet business explained how it started life as a pulse rifle.
Honestly, I think the Wicked Implement is in a decent spot rn because, if anti-barrier scouts is in the artifact or you have a source of radiant in your build, it lets you deal with all 3 champions types with a single primary weapon from a safe distance.
Radiant for barrier, slow for overload and with enough shots shatter for unstoppables?
thats how i use, it is a really good weapon in gms, i have no idea how it made it into this list.
Another idea for the sweet business: getting kills with the gun will make the spin up faster or after a kill streak you don't have to spin up
As a pve/pvp lucky pants m&k last word enjoyer, the radiant idea sounds cool. Perfectly fits the lore, too, with Shin Malphur. Personally a specialised target lock catalyst or cascade point sounds like a lot of fun.
oh i *love* the idea of cascade point on it, that would be so fun
*Nechrocasm breathes a sigh of relief, even though it should’ve been in this video*
Is your whole gimmick really bad takes?
…cuz you’re doing a really good job at this.
Necrochasm isn't bad
It's just REALLY depressing and kinda bad
If osteo didn’t exist then nechro would be used instead. Its fine, and better than osteo in pvp
I love necro so much, way more than vex in pvp
Nechrocasm isn't bad, it's just that osteo is so much better in that niche that nechro seems terrible.
And it would let other classes use it more effectively since titans have actium war rig, the titan exotic that slowly refills auto rifle and machine gun ammo
tommys matchbook in question
Give it kinetic tremors / target lock and a handling & range buff
If it is too OP, make it like pseudo lucky pants, and activate after draw with a full mag
just an idea for PVE; what if last word gave extra super energy for golden gun on precision kills (more than any other gun however much that would be)
I won't lie, DMT is the best pvp gun I've used in the entire game. It easily got me my gambit 4k for malf, it popped off in crucible and just feels so good and I currently have the DEFAULT roll aka it's strong as hell and it can get even better.
I just want sweet business' catalyst to not be reduced flinch. VEEERY exotic.
Oh yeah, it's Aurelia Skill Cap Ability for snipers.
My two cents on a couple of these:
Bastion -give it kinetic tremors but not like the current kinetic tremors perk.
Vigilance Wing - give it a boosted heal clip that grants restoration x2 for 4 seconds to nearby allies
Random idea: Bungie has a problem with armor.
Last word cat should let it turn into a 120 or 140 when aiming down sights
First idea:
Scoring multiple precision hits while hip-firing charge a powerful more farther reaching shot that can be used while in ADS.
Second idea:
Long Reload to activate High Noon (my version).
Give Cerberus+1 explosive payload for its catalyst
I didn't realize that this came put before tfs and immediately went "but the riposte is a lightweight though...am I dumb?"
So you're basically saying you want the sweet business to be Heir Apparent with infinite ammo correct? because that is what you said in your video. Well alluded to.
Maybe mida should be able to stun all 3 champs but its a selectable perk in the gun like queenbreaker
Rat king gives invisibility not over shield right? Or does it give both?
That Last word - Twilight combo clip was absolutely sensational. Had to rewind the video to actually listen to the buff suggestion 😊
huckleberrys rampage is the pre shadowkeep unnerffed version that does 22 44 and 66 percent damage. they left it that way to make it stand out but they never added that text to the weapon so anyone that didnt play at that time doesn't even know that.
Thought of a neat way huckleberry could be reworked.
Huckleberry
Intrinsic Perk: Ride the Bull
Increased rate of fire, recoil, and movement speed while holding down the trigger. Kills improve Ride the Bull build up and partially reloads the magazine.
(Would have a charge bar buff)
Exotic Perk: Seeing Red
Ride the Bull lingers for a short period as well as grant amplify and improve damage when fully built up.
Catalyst: Stampede
Greatly improve walking speed and base jump height while amplified.
(This would grant the buffs you get from sprinting while amplified without having to sprint)
I'm pretty sure Rat King just gives you health regen on kills, not Void overshields
Yeah. Ur right. I dunno why he said that either.
Totally meant to say “invisibility” and didn’t catch it in editing. Not sure how. Sorry!
This was a great stream (especially the vog entrance attempt)
Hello! Bad Juju main here, i ise it in both game modes. Give it osmosis/reload combo. Change the catalyst to be named Witchcraft: kills with charged abilities change this weapons energy type to the matching type and reloads the weapon
bad juju just feels so good in pvp i can’t explain it any more than that it’s just crisp
this is the only content idea that i dont mind being reused over and over
The disrespect to huckleberry. It doesn't get normal rampage. The multiplier is higher
Catalyst joke at 6:17 got me.
Bringing out the hood classics with John 3:16
1 thing ive heard about the last word is making its catalyst give the exotic perks from the first curse when aiming down sights
Two thoughts:
1- Bastion.
I would very much enjoy if DMT leaned even more into the quick draw hip-fire playstyle, like a longer lasting (maybe 1.5 scs) precision instrument, to help feed the quicker rate of fire offered by Cranial Spike, and as a complement to Dark Forged Trigger
i preferred having the target lock perk put on a 120 legendary scout rifle though
because it honestly feels right
and it's 10x easier to hit an enemy weak spot on many enemies then you struggling the entire time
Bad Juju: Alongside String of Curses, change hipfire grip to a new perk.
This makes both modes better and makes swapping modes have a real purpose.
wicked implement-change it to a 260 and allow it to slow enemies with crit shots after reloading?
As someone who loves bad juju I feel they should replace hip fire with some custom version of encore that stacks with string of curses, since it’s based off chaining kills this would actually make it worth using for more people
Wicked Implement is completely overshadowed by Verglas Curve to me. Even in GM's.
