    Love the demo in beginning
    You explain why were doing things
    I’m new to making socks
    I don’t like knitting
    I love crocheting
    Crochet dose not tend to give much stretch
    Love your extra thought you put into this pattern to make it as stretchy as possible ❤️

    I’ve been making Tunisian crochet socks for over 10 years. I then created a combination knit AND Tunisian crochet design that’s perfect for snow boots. Good tutorial.

      @@ModeBespoke Yes! I find my toes and heels too thin in regular knit stitches and get worn down very quickly. So I knit the cuff, leg, top of foot BUT change over to Tunisian Simple Stitch for top of toe, Tunisian Knit Stitch for bottom toe. If I want the bottom foot to be cushier I Tunisian Knit the entire part of that through the heel. Of course I have to go up 1 or 2 hook sizes to adequately match the Tunisian stitch gauge with the regular knit gauge.

    I'm new to tunisian crochet, but have crocheted over 30 years. I hate crocheted socks, but I don't like knitting them. This is going to be awesome! A very informative and well done pattern, thank you so much!

    I’m watching this video super late 😂 I LOVE it. My one suggestion would be to give a stitch count on the decrease rows. I’m probably in between beginner and intermediate level and it’s so hard to know if you’ve done it properly without knowing what the count is supposed to be on each row.

    I want to make in finger-weight yarn like you used in the other video, but I want to use the cabled tunisian needle like you used in this video, instead of the double-ended. And I want to use the extended return pass like you did in the other video. So in other words I want to combine the two videos :). Do you have any suggestions on how I should combine the two without messing it up? I am going to purchase one of the patterns - but because of the way I am doing it I am not sure which one I should purchase - what do you suggest?

    Was curious ,
    Love this pattern , but more like a winter sock slipper for me.
    But before I buy your pattern
    I like my sock not always so thick
    I enjoy using #1 yarn for thinner socks
    In summertime
    But if I do this pattern with #1 size sock yarn and smaller hook this is going to mess the gauge up completely
    Not sure if you have this type of constructed sock in super fine yarn pattern?
    Thanks so much for your time❤️

    • @ModeBespoke

      This particular pattern is stitch count specific, so yes, it’ll affect the end result. I have several other measurement-based sock patterns that you can switch up your yarn and hook combo:

    Thankyou paid for and downloaded pattern. I have heaps of finger weight sock yarn so if I use that and change the tunisan hock size I will get the same results as shown in the video I dont have to alter the number of stitches or anything else??So want to start! The circular knitted socks looked great but dont want to repeat the pattern, this pattern looks fantastic❤️🖤👍🏻🌈

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! 😊 🙏🏼
      Yes, you will have to alter the number of stitches in order to get the size (you’ll end up with tiny socks if you use the same stitch count). On the pattern, you’ll see the measurements. Use the measurement instead of the stitch count, just be sure to write down your stitch count so you make matching socks. If you have any questions, I’m just an email away!

    I’m so glad I found this!! Just to clarify, the pink “tube” part of the sock is the length of your actual foot from toe to heel? And then the lighter color for toe and heel are just added? It seems like I would be measuring the bend of my ankle/top of foot to toe, but I don’t want to make it wrong! I loved this video so much!

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 года назад +5

      Thank you!
      Yes and no. (I may not have done the best job explaining it in this video, I’m sorry) Take the heel to toe measurement, but subtract 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) from that measurement. So, let’s use 10 in for the foot measurement. It’s a bit large, but it’s a nice rounded number. If you make the tube 10 inches, then add the toe (which adds about 1.5 in), you’d end up with a sock that is 1.5 inches too long. So the heel is included in the measurement, but subtract the 1.5 for the “toe”.
      If you have some experience with Tunisian crochet, I’d highly recommend watching the new sock tutorial. It’s worked in the round, is stretchier, and fits better. I’ll be posting loads more sock patterns in the coming weeks, so you’ll get to see different patterns, styles and whatnot.
      Here’s the new sock tutorial: ruclips.net/video/gdF3WkY99zk/видео.html
      Hope this helps! 😊

    Thank you for the video)
    But I'm a little confused. How come the upper part of the sock is the same length as the lower part? I thought the upper part should be shorter, and the lower part should consist of the length of upper part plus the length of the heel..🤔

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 года назад

      That’s a great question! I agree, the top could be shorter, and if you are comfortable doing that, then go for it. I was just trying to write as simple a pattern as possible for a beginner. But you are right, I could have ended the top part a few rows shorter.

      I've tried to make socks anatomically correct, and they got out of control 😂 I have no idea what I'm doing but it's too late to get back to the beginning of the tutorial. Turns out I like to make things more complicated than they actually are 🤔

    Hi! I'm following along but I think I'm making a mistake somewhere. At the decrease part, should it be making a heel cup? It does on one side, it looks like, but not on the other.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 года назад

      Hi! 🤔 is it on the end (on the side of the last stitch)? It may be a tension problem. Try loosening up the stitches at the end before working a return pass.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 года назад

      You totally can! You’ll need to adjust the sizing, as it will be a bit smaller with a 4 mm, but they can be made using different hook/yarn sizes and combos.

    Do you happen to have a size guide for babies or children if you are making as a gift and don't have their actual measurements? I've been trying to find a baby sock that isn't knitting (cause learning that is driving me nuts) . All the crochet and tunisian crochet I have tried havent had any stretch to them. This one looks like it does.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 года назад +1

      I do not, but the yarn council does:
      www.craftyarncouncil.com/standards/foot-size-charts
      I’d suggest watching the tutorial where I explain how to work an extended return pass. Then using that return pass with this pattern. It will make a huge difference in the stretch factor. Here’s the link:
