I LOVE this !!! I live in florida and found it difficult to find out much about life in british florida after the 7 years war. I would love if you did a video in detail on how people camped in swamps back then, since the ground is wet im not sure if they would have done a classic leanto or something like a hammock.
What part of florida do you live in? I'm from Arcadia originally! Born and raised. I have a video on us doing an 18th century trek here, we used hammocks.
@Southeastern_Settler I started off with civil war but I'm getting into 18th century stuff now! Problem is there's not too much detailed info on clothing, specifically in hot british florida. I'm not sure how different floridian settlers are from their northern counterparts if you get what I mean
@johngreen-qj1dv read for the heat is beyond your conception by neal hurst. Great info on clothing worn in the southeast. Also look into the East Florida rangers. They are a group there.
Brilliant.
My 7th Great Grandfather was a soldier at this Fort. We still live here until this day.
Nice wooden house
Much Enjoyed with good music too! Kind Thanks! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Glad you enjoyed it!
the doorway is low was that a deliberate defensive thing?
@@theedain I don't think there's a particular reason behind the short door other than that's just how it ended up being put together.
A trip to the trading post and back.
