Anita Pallenberg embodied the spirit of the times.
She was an unconventional woman and would be criticized by people who expected more passive behaviour. I think she was great.
As an older woman, she aged gracefully. She didn't pretend to be young forever.
    I didn't know there was a biography.
    Thank you.

While I love your videos, it was a letdown that you didn't cover Jerry Hall. She had four children by Mick and was a famous model. They were together a long time and Mick stole her from Brian Ferry of Roxy Music. The added length would have been worth it.

  • @christopherkeil

This is an excellent summary of the women who fell into the Stone orbit. Emma, I appreciate the amount of research you put into this. The Stones women are so varied, and the stories are incredibly complicated; it would almost be possible to do an hour-long episode on most of them. The hour you put in covers the topic very well.
One woman you didn’t mention is Margaret Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and mother of future Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In one of the more bizarre Stones stories, she “ran off" with the band to be with Ronnie Wood, and this destabilized Canadian politics at the time.
On Marianne Faithfull, she was if anything a survivor of their lifestyle. It’s amazing to hear her sing “As Tears Go By” in her teens and listen to her sing it again in her sixties after she’d lived such a rocky life. But she did survive and carved out her own path in life.
I greatly appreciate the amount of effort you obviously placed into this.
BTW - I really liked what you wrote on Janice Joplin for the Doll Pad.

    • @user-ig2iy4gb7b
      @user-ig2iy4gb7b 3 дня назад +3

Yes Marianne had such a hard life for a moment, I feel particularly sorry for her because she was so cute and innocent looking, seemed unfair for such a girl to be homeless on the streets on smack, especially after living the high life for so many years, but look at her now out on top, well rounded and definitely an inspiration to women ❤ so much respect for her

Thank you for understanding the world and dedication that went into this, there’s always more to cover but I also I only have 24 hours in a day. It means a lot that you’re so understanding. 💌

Did you know that, Mick didn’t want to give her royalties or credits for the song they co wrote named, Sister Morphine because he was afraid the royalties would contribute to her addiction? She has a very tragic story. I’m glad, she got over her addiction and started to sing again.

A fascinating video - thanks for shining a light on these women who, as you rightly say, played such an important role in the Stones music and history. Totally agree with you about Bill Wyman's 13 year old girlfriend by the way, another example of girls being treated like expendable props to famous men - that somehow because they are famous and made great music they are forgiven anything

I want to add that there was another girl that was involved with the Stones, especially Brian Jones. Her name is Danielle Ciarlet Aka “Zou Zou”. She is a French singer and actress. She is one is of the French swinging mademoiselles genre of music from the 1960s.

100% ironically ( you'll find it on RUclips) Prince Stash Klossowski - aka Stash clears something up about Anita's version of meeting Brian Jones. Stash was Brian's friend and he was dating Anita. Anita had already met Brian when her and Stash were on a double date with Brian and Zou Zou 1 year prior to Anita's claim. Stash is in Cstching Fire - he had a part in the swinging 60s . In fact Stash was in NYC with Anita and featured with her the Warhol rabbit photos . He says they edited out the time frame from when and how Anita actually met Brian .

    • @Vashti-kg3xy
      @Vashti-kg3xy День назад +2

      @
Interesting how, when Brian died, Anita took the liberty to alter this event in his life. I am glad that, Stash is being honest with his perspective on this matter.
Also interesting side note, Zou Zou was involved with Dave Davies of the Kinks. Zou Zou suggested that Brian, Dave and her had a threesome, but it never happened. Zou Zou did not want to be under Brian’s thumb, so as she got tired of waiting for Brian, she got intimate with Dave Davies.

Zou Zou was his brief muse ✨.
She is an underrated singer from the 60s. I heard she didn’t like her own singing voice, so she decided to act. I know, she didn’t write her own songs/ play an instrument, but she was still talented.

  • @user-ig2iy4gb7b

Again disappointed about the misinformation about Anita and Brian, she used to attack him, she got him hooked on ac!d as she did Keith with horse. Imagine doing that to someone you are supposed to love? He never hurt any of his gfs before or after, she had a long rap of DV which people were eye witnesses to including her own son, not mention what she did to that 17yr old boy. She was a predator, but that's okay because she's a woman I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️
She was also v!0lent to people around them in their everyday lives. Prince Stash would recall her just throwing china at people and screaming and going crazy, and then come back with cups of tea like nothing happened.
Keith can talk dirt of Brian but he was just a jealous man who copied Brian looks wise in such an unsettling way, they were cruel to him, Mick including and Mick was like that with Charlie too until Charlie told him straight one day, the glimmer twins. Keith weren't laughing on the set of performance. He knows the truth, even he said "I love Anita but I just can't live with her".
Sad that her toxicity took the light of so many of the beautiful and kind hearted women around the Rolling Stones. I particularly adore Luna, may she R.I.P ❤

Thank you for your long comment and opening this perspective.
I thought i made it clear enough when reading from Parachute Women that Anita introduced them to drugs. I never said that Keith was violent towards Anita. As said I’ve read his biography Life and if something like that would’ve been in there I would’ve included it here.
What happened with Anita and that 17 year old boy is tragic, horrible and she definitely did this man wrong. However this fließt has anything to do with the Stones which is why I didn’t include it.
I know how controversial Anita is. I’ve done loads of research on her but I tried to focus on her regarding the stones. I know many people hated her and she wasn’t innocent in all of this.
I also included that Anita had an affair with Mick and I’m aware how it broke Keith’s heart. As said she’s a very complicated woman which is why I shared all my sources for everyone to shape their own opinion.
I don’t she she was the solely toxic one but I do understand how you feel about her.
To be honest I never felt like Keith talked too much shit about Brian and I would love to get some sources on that.
Anyway thank you for adding all of this. I hope you still enjoyed other parts of the video.

Whatever a girl looks like, if shes too young to give informed consent its not just creepy and wierd, its so wrong and taboo. Even at 18 its still bad . What a sick, wierd world it is. Some are mentally grown up before 16 like my mum. In the early 1950s her dad died. She was 14 yet had so much responsability put on her, helping her mum who had a breakdown . Other girls above 18 are still mentally like kids, vulnerable and niave but the law doesnt take this into account.
