There is a special place in hell for people/companies that would shred a 30" tree in chips.
You talking about the debarker? Cause that’s all it does, debark the trees for future use
If it's full of knots and burls, it's useless for lumber, and it is very hard to find a specialty buyer for it.

These machines are impressive, but what machines do you have for home use splitters andnchippers
It's incredible how squatting down to fix something can suddenly turn your peaceful surroundings into a symphony of honking horns. Perhaps the solution lies in a design tweak or a protective cover to prevent unintended activation. After all, in the world of gadgets, functionality should never come at the cost of chaos!
All of these great ingenious cut / splitting systems and no improvements on stacking / secondary handling..

Machines becoming so efficient! Processing trees into wood products faster than trees can grow. Anyone recognize a real problem?
No. Like most people, you don't seem to realize how many trees there are. There are billions of trees that are actively growing while one mature tree is being utilized. Most countries are growing and or replanting trees faster than we can use them. It is a sustainable resource.
@Anony Mouse try and google it I have read articles about this before and from what I haver read it is true, though its hard to get accurate numbers (read one article I can't seem to find where they were using laser to try and actually calculate how dense a forest is to get ideas. I think it was till early 1900s where trees were declining in number, but due to different reasons they have been increasing seems to be consensus. Like I said though kind of hard to get exact numbers as can't count all the trees.
Dude more trees burn up than are harvested, just look at Kommirado and Glenwood canyon.
We had massive beetle kill since the tree huggers would not allow us to spray for them.
Then we had massive die offs that the tree huggers would not allow us to harvest..
Then came the fires due to the piss poor management policies and lack of prescribed burns.
Then it rained......
Stop hugging trees and try hugging a well head instead..

you do realize loggers also replant every tree they cut? it's been like for a long time now.
@@generalrelativity5747 What? I was simply stating that in the US at least loggers are required by laws to replant what they harvest (usually at a 2-1 ration if not more). A lot of the times its usually tree farms that are cut, not forests and even then its areas of real old growth that are selected. As opposed to young trees. Logging companies can't just go into forests and cut stuff down. There is strict regulations preventing that. Now as for outside the US? Well thats a different story.
How about a machine that can plant them as quick as we destroy them? Aye
And every single one of these would get clogged in a heartbeat by palm tree fronds... lol :D

A subject such as this requires the ability to pronounce a variety of foreign names correctly. It's a shame that the narrator does not have this talent.
I spent last Saturday talking to someone about their trip to Shrewsbury.
We used different pronunciations of Shrewsbury, both of which are valid, and refused to accommodate each other.
How anyone is supposed to know anything above the most common foreign pronunciations appears ridiculous, even my family name has two recognised pronunciations - and most of those words are going to be family names (mine is an anglicised version of a central European name).
As long as you're consistent then you might as well stick to the conventions in English, since that's the language we're choosing to communicate in.
It's a wonder none of these were ever used in a Steven Segal movie...

Really cool but I'd be worried about that wood splitter with a small remote. I often inadvertently activate the "panic" feature of my car's remote when I squat down to work on something. The button gets pressed accidentally.

this is what i was afraid of is the fact that technology is now at that point where its putting people that are dependent on this job out of work because basically those machines are so self reliant and self driven that if they had a brain it wouldn't need a human operator or a person over seeing it.
I know it sounds far fetched and futuristic and etc but truly and seriously think about it for a moment and ask yourself is it really ? because i don't think it is.
And don't get me wrong i don't dislike technology i love it and think it's a big game changer i just don't wanna see it put hardworking people out of work or in hardtimes where it shuts them down because they are small company or they dont make enough to be able to afford to upgrade to new equipment
I don't think these machines can work on their own anytime soon, they will always need an operator, maybe talk again in 50 years and see how much we have advanced.
Machines would need a "brain" to go to work, work together and know what they are doing. I don't think our tech is anywhere close to being that advanced, just my thoughts.
Man, any one of those firewood processors would be a dream come true for me at work, I process ALOT of firewood during the winter at work and the processor we have is from like 1990 and it's a DINOSAUR, I mean it does the job, but always has issues, things are constantly breaking on it, blowing hydraulic lines, actually it's been broke down now for the better part of the season because for some reason there's very little down pressure on the chainsaw so it's not able to cut through most wood and we've tried replacing everything that has to do with it, even had the control box rebuilt and still no luck, it does ok when the machine is still cold, but the hotter the hydraulic fluid gets the less power it has, it's been a nightmare!!! So I've been stuck by myself with a single split wood splitter trying to keep up with hundreds of orders, most wanting full cords of wood, not to mention having to keep up with the 1/4 cord bins that we sell, that's a pain all by itself.. Any advice you could give me about the processor would be appreciated..

You could eliminate the incarceration problem in the United States with a Vermeer AX19 chipper. 1230 per hour, 29,520 per day, 10,774,800 per year...and we're only talking 2,000,000 prisoners, so the problem is solved in a little over 2 months if we run 24/7. A little over 6 months if we just run it 8 hrs/day.

You should have seen the amount of pallets i had to throw out at Home Depot. OMG. Some were so beautiful like cherry wood and so on they could have savage them and made into simple furniture. And they would worth hundred to thousand of dollars.

New York State has legislated the ban of wood as a fuel source. What is the point of all this equipment? I guess I can see the logging stuff staying in use, for now. All the chippers and shredders and firewood processing stuff though, hope they don't have dealer networks in blue states.
Just wanting people to get more efficient wood stoves or pellet stoves.
That sounds like a good policy for NYC but it is ridiculous for the state as a whole.

Probably external combustion
engine. Fine tune the water pressure by fine tuning the fuel supply. Steam. It is low tech.

Keeping trees are fine but you gotta keep in mind if they grew too big the risk of erosion also increases.
Plus most of these trees cut are fast growing ones and they usually replant more than they cut.
And this channel is showcasing the machines and technology if you hate watching it leave.

The world has lost one third of its forest. Twice the size of US. In the 30 years from 1990 to 2020 178 million ha, an area the size of Libya. And we didn't have these tools back then.
