I'm from Antioch but I grew up in Byron, Brentwood area and when I saw you fishing for striped bass in clifftin court fore bay I was hooked. That was a couple year's ago.
I went fishing in Panama, North Pacific part. A few miles off shore were some islands, Ladrones Islands, fishing was insane. As far as the eye could see birds were hitting fish on the surface and small tunas and others were everywhere.
Would be curious about the specifics of your set up when you troll. How much weight and how long is the leader(?) With the hooks (essentially how far back is the bait from the weight. Thanks!
trolling on kayak vs trolling on boat same setup but bigger weight... I like 3 way barrel swivel with 1' line for weight (12-24oz depending on tide) and I use about 6-8' with a trap rig... drifting, same setup but with 10-16oz weight depending on rod.. I use a live bait loop single hook when trolling but ive been seeing alot of people using trap rigs wit live bait
By chance can you say where you’re launching at. I would like to take my aluminum out and try for some halibut’s just not sure on a good close launch place.
Hey Adam! Long time watcher but very short time new kayak owner here. I was wondering about your life jacket. Is there a reason you dont use a manual trigger inflatable vs your current foamy? I havent bought a life jacket yet and have been trying to figure out which to go for
Die hard fishing. With commercial fishing how many rods can you use and can I use the motor on a kayak or does it have to be human powered. Lastly, how many can you catch in a day?
Awesome stuff man. Thanks for all the videos. Im currently putting together a game plan to try and commercial fish full time. Who do sell your catch too? Maybe i judt dont know the correct term to serch on Google but i cant seem to find places to sell fish too.
Dfg can suk on these nuts, if you ever feel bad about hurting the ecosystem think of the huge boats that net thousands of fish every year we are NOT the problem. That being said don’t eat the huge fish that’s like eating an old man it won’t be tasty and leave the smaller fish alone it’s not fair that you have to eat say 4 small perch to get full instead of 1 good sized perch
Question... Is it possible (realistic) to think I can pay a boat note, gas and make a little bit of money monthly if I became a solo commercial fisherman?? To average $1500 a month. Species, halibut, salmon, lingoced, dungeness (Seattle area)
are you really near SFO this trip? great stuff, thanks for sharing, you must be they are landing right over you, haha, love it, used to fly there from Edmonton Canada on the way to see my Emirates Captain brother and fam in Dubai, fishing and big airplanes, this is my kinda fishing, awesome
Halibut were always one of my favorite fish to target in the 70s

Surf fishing can be affordable equipment wise. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

For sure!
Aaahhh Lucky. I wish I could go fish in Panama. Have a great trip and be safe.
Nice work Adam. ✌️😎🎣
Glad to see you on the water looking for the barn door.
Nice halibuts! Tight lines!!
It be awesome if you could talk about what fish the basic commercial license covers.
Nice job Adam
Cant wait to find out what rod your trolling with. Reel looks like the Komodo with power handle. Looking forward to that video.
look's so fun!
Way to go Adam! 🤙
I was laughing Adam when i saw that 10oz weight swinging back towards your head, that wouldn't be fun🤣
😬
Nice work!
Thanks!

I know you asked him, but I use 2 foot weight leader with 8oz and a 6-foot hook leader

Appreciate the question, I will show it more in a future video!
Good halibut day, Adam!
Interesting; One rod in hand out fished 2 others not in hand. Is trolling better than "drop shot jigging"?
nice!!
I love you Adam ❤
We’re big fans!!!! Andrew thinks you’re adorable
Same

Same.
same.
Living through your videos Adam. I feel like a subscriber again!
Miss you out there
Nice day of fishing.

Whats the name of the rod your using on the daiwa bg?
Thats a custom rod, more on that to come!
@@DieHardFishing oh nice!
Where do you typically launch your kayak in monterey?
Cool. Great fishing.
Looks like you use a pretty long leader. Just curious how long is it?
usually 3-6 feet
Hey Adam I like your rod & reel set up @ 2:38 the checkered looking rod. Could you please let me know which these are ?
Thats a custom rod, more on that to come!
Good outing with that spinning rod. Worked better than baits

I havent bought a life jacket yet and have been trying to figure out which to go for
What size weight on that dropshot? Thanks.

Where were you fishing at san francisco bay

What kind of setup would you recommend for surf fishing? I'm not concerned with brand but more the sizes for rod and reel. Thanks!
9-10 foot rod and 3000-4000 sized reel
sounds like ya'll gonna go hangout with Robert Fields, I think that's his name. can't wait to see the videos from this one
Adam, When u put the fish in the stringer, are u not worried that sharks or seals may grab them?
Mostly seals, I try not to leave them in the water very long
Adam, where do you usually launch from?
All over the bay area!
oyster point

I sell to end consumers which requires an additional license. I'll talk more about it in a future video!
@@DieHardFishing right on
Are Rooster fish good to eat?
We release them all
Thanks in advance for answering my question , what clothing or wet gear do you use ?
I wear a farmer john wetsuit
Can anyone tell me if I can keep barred perch in half moon bay right now because dfg says San Francisco Bay is closed
Dfg can suk on these nuts, if you ever feel bad about hurting the ecosystem think of the huge boats that net thousands of fish every year we are NOT the problem. Half moon bay is open for surfperch
tell Robert whats up!!! i wanna go!!!
When did california limit rod count in salt water to commercial licenses?😂
When did u get a picsifun ajloz300 ?
its a 400 and its brand new!

I'm not sure! I'm based in the bay area and it all depends on how much time you put in.
Use big live bait for lingcod again.
How much is the Los buzos trip Adam?
I would email that email address in the description with any questions you have
@@DieHardFishingI don’t have email Adam 🫤
the bite is hot, nice Adam
What depth do you usually troll at?
always look for bait instead of depth.. shallow water in big tides but try to fish smaller tides, they chew more
Anywhere from 5-30 feet deep!
Imagine if you lived in Vancouver bc
Would be catching more salmon for sure!
Do an only drop shot video
What's with the horrible audio, is the mic glued to the side of motor?
One of the west coasts largest airports is right over his shoulder.
The God who in the Sky asking :
" Who give you a License ( commercial incl.) For fishing on my Planet I made for everyone "??
What are you even trying to say here

San Francisco is not as bad as fox news says it is
Yes I am!
What size weight on that dropshot? Thanks.
