80s seem to be the perfect decade for bodybuilding, the zenith of the sport. The 70s, although having their merits and being quite inspirational, were lacking in certain departments such as conditioning and leg-size, whereas the 90s saw the beginning of the mass-monster era and a near complete abondenment of the "classical virtues" within bodybuilding. 80s on the other hand, had a perfect balance between size, structure and conditioning.
Paris and De Mey! Those were the times of mass with class! Pearson,Strydom deep density with tremendous isolation! Mike was a hungry panther ! Those years are an inspiration of perfection between mass and proportion!
God Bless all these men. I lifted all through the 80's and 90's. Now my lower back is shot. I have arthritis shooting through my body. But I loved my workouts and looked great. Work and child care wore me out.
No bellies, low body fat, ripped. Theres a few today, some arent even on the stages, but theyre out there. GMO, soy, etc make it difficult. Great men back then, even as people much different. Tnx

@nai nai Gymnasts are tested according to the IOC rules, professional bodybuilders are not. Gymnasts do not look like pro bodybuilders.
