something fun that i discovered is that if you’re ramping up, due to not build delay you can super-jump off the edge of your ramp and then place another before you actually start falling, giving you just a tiny bit more momentum than a potential opponent. it takes a lot of timing to pull off tho
You did not discover it, that’s basic common sense that any decent player can figure out. I figured out on the first hour of release while playing 1v1s
there's LOWkey a MASSIVE delay that makes pros' interest in the game FADE. it's kinda CRAZY that Epic decided to add such a delay, can't IMAGINE why they didn't think this through.
I think the best way to deal with this is making it a setting that you can enable/disable based on your preference. This way the players who dont like it can simply play without it. Maybe have a whole tab in the settings in which you can choose exactly which movement mechanics you want enabled.
@0xcpp912The problem is they love both comp and casual players but can't figure out a way to make both happy. They screw casual players over with universal balance and lootpool changes to appease comp players, and they annoy comp players with fun goofy new additions that casuals enjoy
@@OdaKa It's definitely possible to have an even balance, they've proved it two seasons ago. I think they just don't care any more for comp than they do casual. Idk what u have to do to do it but for me if u wait long enough after ledge jumping and u press the shoot button it just shoots without pulling ur gun out at all
Yea but the whole point is to shoot before your enemy realizes you did a side jump. With the delay the enemy always gets the first shots unless you switch to builds.
Yea this movement completely messes with sprinting while building and feels pretty terrible, it really doesn’t give you too much distance ontop of a normal sprint jump and it just makes everything else feel bad

It's just insane to me that so many people and so much money is in a game that's broken most of the time to some degree. It's always something, and as soon as we get used to it or good with it, they change it
tip: if you use sprint to side jump you can cancel out the delay animation by stopping the sprint mid air (if you use toggle sprint you can let go of your movement keys for like a millisecond and you'll be able to shoot)
Parkour was already a bit wonky after Chapter 5's new movement system was implemented. Because of the new momentum system, I often undershoot, or more frequently, overshoot the platforms. Thanks to super jump, overshooting is more effortless than before!
The combat roll mechanic is actually so unbelievably annoying. I've died countless times to combat rolling of my stairs and falling to my death. Also the combat roll mechanic has a delay for when you try to build, meaning you can fall far enough to not be able to build and/or take fall damage. I hate it...
I hate it because in the trailer for the season they made it look like it was gonna stop fall damage because they jumped from a really high spot and didnt die but it doesn't do that
The problem is they added 3 different movements, and put all of them on the same damn key. I also hate when I'm trying to jump to the next floor and the character jumps on the wall to the opposite way (and depending on the building, the opposite way is death).

when you sidejump, you always originally face the direction of the ledge. if you dont youre doing it wrong
