- Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is one of the most exciting young players in world football. But before he made his Bundesliga debut for Dortmund at just 17, he was already turning out regularly for Birmingham City's first team. Mature beyond his years, Bellingham's quick rise to the top can make it easy to forget just how much work he's put in, and just how young he still is. We talked to his youth coaches, his mum and other important people in his life to find out how Bellingham became the player he is today.

@@dwightschrute692 Isnt that obvious if he wants German subtitles 🤔
The youngster has captured the heart of every Borussian forward. We can't complain about talent for years, but with him we have signed probably the greatest midfield talent ever. His development is terrific and if the youngster continues to work on himself and stays on the ground, he could become a legend. Plus there's nothing more awesome than a goal from Bellingham and the subsequent Judeeeeeee....... Shouts in Station. I love this guy 😜🖤💛
I've been a Bayern fan since I was a kid, but wow Dortmund are fun to watch, and Jude is definitely ridiculous. I hope he stays in the BL for a while yet.
I see him easily surpassing Sancho in like a year or two.
Gone from one throughly decent club to another 👍
i didnt understand why would a club like birmingham retire a number for a mere teen. now i understand why, the fans LOVE him
His transfer fee also saved the club from bankruptcy.
So proud to have him at Dortmund! He is exhilarating!
Na na na na na na hey Jude!
Young player of the year

A true blue as well 💙
This video has made me understand how important my job is as a kids soccer coach.

Being from Birmingham and having Jude come through the academy and seeing how insane of a player he’s become and his endless possibility makes me proud
Clear from this he's had some great people around him, really humble and intelligent enough to know how to handle him. Amazing journey to watch, only just starting and he's already being talked about as one of the best on the planet...at 19. Wow!
how's it feel now? mans just scored his 4th match winner this season😭
Bellingham is special. And it shows that there are better ways for young talent to progress.
Birmingham having these brothers is straight up brilliant for BCFC too. Shows that they've been brought up for this.
Trevor Francis was another 16 year old who started here at Birmingham and if Jude reaches the heights of his career then he will be special!! KRO Jude!!
Now he is already the captain of Dortmund!
Bellingham has everything as a midfielder. He could probably play any position on the pitch, at the highest level, tolerably. For his professional development I hope he stays abroad either in Germany, Spain or Italy for a while, before returning to England, if he must. It's be good at languages? I hope he has the knack, so he can understand other team's intents better when playing internationals and inspired others to go where youth is valued in first teams.
Now he is estimated to be worth about €100 Million, at age 19 no less. What a lad.
How did Durtmund find these kinds of talents ? Haaland , jude , reyna ,sancho was also grown here and many more .
they have a great scouting department for young talented players
@@girlslikemyspaghetti5055 And a great reputation, if you're young and look like one of the best it's the place to go...great business model for them as well

Wow, Tom Ross still going. I used to listen to him do the sports on Radio WM in the 80s.
Imagine being the academy coach of a bright talent, such as Jude, and taking your time to make fun of him about the haircuts he had. What an absolute boss! PS: Also, a very nice and humble coach from the looks of it.
Yah very well said he can do all 3 (holding, box-box, attacking) midfield position at very ease.. #jude22 🤝

German mate who supports Dortmund couldn't believe during the Euros that Bellingham was unused. He was right. What a player
Shame, we might have won it...still, he's in now and will be for the next 15 years hopefully!
Well documented video kro
Can we just say how much incredible young talent the English youth system is producing right now. I think England right now has more high quality young players than any team in the world right now and only France and Spain comes close to them right now. I always thought England has the best athletes in Europe, but lacked the coaching to make English players technical and tactically intelligent. But it seems things have change in the last 10 years and English players are not technically superior to players in other countries. When Germany a country of 90 million people is poaching English developed players like Musiala and Nmecha because they cannot produce players as good themselves, that shows the good work that is happen in youth development in England. Bayern Munich and Dortmund are buying English players from the second division, which shows how much debt England have right now in quality.
yeah right not like the prem needs other leagues to develop their youngsters for them to buy them back at ridiculous prices only for them to not know how to use them and write them off after 2 weeks
I think the main problem is that most youth players don't see a realistic chance to break into the first team, that's why they go to teams like Dortmund, Gladbach to get playing time.
But I still don’t see any English players who has high dribbling skills, like Brazilians, Latinos, Or Africans, it’s still as an European I guess
How disgraceful that a City like Birmingham, twice the population of Manchester, 3 x Liverpool, has to lose its home grown talent. Is there a worse represented City in Football? Hard to name one.
Berlin, and did you really think birmingham city would ever b able to hold onyo potentially one of the greatest midfielders in the world if not ever.
Well Birmingham got 22.5 million for him so I don’t think they’ll be complaining too much
@@Otoskire 35 plus sell on clause 👍🏼
just like Sheffield clubs and Bradford thou big cities underachieving teams
As much as I hate Man U, they have better youth academy system. Way better than City.
Would love to see Jude with R9 haircut🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
cant believe dortmund didnt win anything at the time when haland, belingham ,sancho and others was playing there.
Easily the best in the world mark my words most expensive player in history soon
I want him at Real Madrid
camavinga, Jude bellingham and foden link up with vini on the wing

My name is literally Jude. I’m not lion.
I’m English and I sincerely hope Jude continues to play in Germany for many years to comes his talents won’t be appreciated by top premier league managers (non of whom are English) , they seem to shy away from allowing English talent to flourish. I honestly think they do this on purpose so the English national teams doesn’t succeed.

The only British player with actual talents in decades.
no need to have a bad take because you're early you can take time and actually think about that for a sec
@@ratedpending shush
This is stupid. Britain is absolutely full of talent this generation. He's a wonderkid for sure, though.
His decision to go to Germany was brilliant.
sancho, foden,rashford,mount
Utter rubbish. Bellingham has talent but it is easier to stand out in a very weak Bundesliga where no one can defend. We are have seen with the poor form of Sancho, Werner and Havertz, that maybe the Bundesliga makes players look better than they really are. Personally I think players like Saka, Foden, Greenwood, Curtis Jones, Smith-Rowe, Eze are better than Bellingham, but he plays in a lower quality so looks better.
Tryna raise his market value?

He’s not even from Birmingham though, He’s from Dudley….
Number 17 because of Nani from Portugal
6 + 8 + 10 = 24 not 22
10+8+4=22
About mo Salah🙏
Thank God he decided to play in Germany where his talent was nurtured and appreciated in the correct way. English media and English coaches still live in the 70s and don't understand modern football. Look at the state of the national team if you need convincing.
I mean the current national team isn't that bad considering its recent performances. but yeah English youngsters are better of abroad to develop
You mean the national team that made the semi-finals of the latest WC and the final of the latest Euros?
a few years back and you're bang on, now when Premiership teams win in Europe and England get to the finals of the Euros against Italy not so much
What do you mean “look at the state of the nation team”? You mean the GREAT state that it’s in because it certainly isn’t bad. Only France have a greater pool of talent to choose from.

The Bundesliga have always had the most horrible defensive record in Europe. Why is that?
because bundesliga is very attacking
Lock of defensive tactics and everyone just plays counter-attacking football, which is by Bundesliga teams struggle. Antonia Conte joked no has any tactics in the Bundesliga, everyone just runs to score goals.
@@memeszeus The Premier League is very attacking, but teams know how to defend too. That is something German teams struggle with.
@@Delboy0 premier league teams are mostly defensive and also offensive look at the likes of chelsea, city, brighton, tot, everton, crystal etc but when compared to bundesliga teams almost all are full on attacking football except on teams such as wolfsburg and leipzig
stop looking at stats. just watch the league or mind your business
You do know there's players 4 years younger than Jude Bellingham in the UK island that can play much better
The next flop from this club? Dortmund do a great job at shining up lemons, but at what point do the English clubs stop getting fooled?
