We got our Duc Plow in the mail the other day. LOVE IT! It is so easy to use and reasonably priced. Awesome since our rototiller requires rubber diaphragm and caborator replacements on a regular basis. And requires fuel to boot! This tool is a real blessing. Thank you!
@@sanjalugarov7391 I'm sorry. I don't remember. You can Google it. He was on Amazon then started his own page. He does not mass produce them and you have to order by the height of the person doing the plowing or the angle will be wrong. Thankfully, my husband and I are both about the same height.
Yes ! I like it ! Good Job ! It's not heavy . It don't need work hard . I think it good for farmers in popr place . Thanks for your creative change a kind of tool of farmers about a few thousands years old without machine .
if your in clay or heavy clay.. It needs at minimum a broad fork/tiller/disc to bust up soil a bit.. If its not been broken up its mainly a tool that weeds and hills dirt after you've got a row of plants in your garden.. If soil isn't broken up the plow tool being light as it is will never stay sunken in the dirt ..it will either float up to surface... or as your pulling it you'll come to a compacted area and it will veer off course left or right.. This tool combined with a broad fork fixes that.. And allows it to really work like you want it to in heavy clay..
Mine works excellent in worked soil or moistened soil. Hardpan is a no go but if you've worked the soil with a tiller or fork at some point this will do the job very well.
Just leave the weeds, they make a great ground cover that keeps the ground from drying out. I grow a 50’ x 50’ garden and I only pull weeds that interfere with my plants. Healthy plants keep the weeds at bay. This is the 1st year that I have done this and it is also the best year I’ve ever had with respect to my harvest. .
Oh wow...so you are telling me that weed is good for the garden. I heard that grass/weed will compete with nutrients with the plant I am growing. Right now, I have so many weeds growing with my California poppies...so should I just pull-out weeds that is growing around the poppies and leave the rest...Is that it? This is my first year experimenting with California poppies. I tilled the soil and probably didn't get all the grass and it's root out, that's why they are growing like crazy with my poppies right now. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
@@mandiegarrett1706 : The weeds make a good ground cover which keeps the soil from drying out. If you are getting weeds, and your plants are healthy, you can bet there are plenty of nutrients. The notion that weeds compete for nutrients is is a misnomer because the plants generally seek different nutrients from what the weeds are using. Just pull the weeds that are obviously interfering with your plants, and if your plants are healthy they will keep the weeds at bay themselves, you’ll see. The weeds you do pull (and any vegetation) can be put into a bucket with water, covered and left in the sun. It will become chemical free fertilizer that you can use on your plants, it’s even better if you add a little urine because urine is nitrogen rich which is really beneficial for vegetative growth plus it’s free. If you think that’s icky you should know that a major component in commercial fertilizers is urea which is made from urine and there’s actually a serious urea shortage at the moment, you may have heard about it. Happy gardening, get growing food because it will be your saving grace someday very soon. I wish I could post a pic of my garden, you wouldn’t believe it, I have thick weeds everywhere between my veggie plants and my veggie plants are producing very large fruits, bigger snd juicier than any other year. It’s really amazing. ps - What does the bible say? It says to let the wheat and the tares (weeds) grow together until harvest time because pulling the weeds might damage the wheat. \ {0.o} / .

That’s been pre tilled, sifted then slightly watered back down...it looks like. Haha
It works very well in FL. We have sandy clay soil. It's perfect for us!
