    Hi. Thank you for this video. I'm not familiar with drainage design. So, I'm just curious, what is the normal slope used for the urban drainage pipe. And how do they maintain the slope from the inlet to the final outlet (ex. river). Because, if the inlet is far from the outlet, then the pipe outlet level maybe become lower than the river level (if they maintain the pipe slope).

      Such a great question! The slope of storm sewers is determined based on many factors such as cover requirements, self cleansing velocity, max velocity, etc. The storm sewers are then put into place in small sections and there are catch basins and manholes in between them. In other words, different sections may have different slopes depending on the requirements.
