Thank you for the video. I also opened mine up because pan was not working. But I noticed my motor was ok. So i cleaned everything up (old grease and dirt). After greasing everything up it worked perfectly again.
Thank you. Video helped especially in opening the casing. Maybe it's obvious, but after releasing the 3 screws fixating the main board, the pin header prevents removing the board; simply push the objective with some force to the inside an the board will easily come off. The camera doesn't turn on/initialize with the IR-Board missing. If unsoldering the IR-LEDs is no option, 2! layers (those LEDs are really powerful) of duct tape sufficiently reduce the light; however, I'm not sure how long the LEDs survive this treatment due to hindered heat dissipation.
Thanks this has helped me. I took the IR board out to stop reflections in the window making it useless at night. I have a separate IR lightsource. I have been able to cancel an order I made of the C100 which I planned to tape up the outside of the area where the LEDs are but now this C200 will work great now :) Thanks.
Yeh that kinda also the same reason I took it apart. I want to use it through a window too. I had taped the ir (in fact the whole camera) but it still leaked IR through and gave bad reflections at night. So disconnecting it will be the next best thing. Just make sure the camera still works because I think it has some self checking (when the servos were disconnected the camera wouldn't boot) . If not then I might have to unsolder the ir leds and replace with a similar resistor.
I don't think changing the mic will help with the sound quality, I had a look at the file properties and it only records sound at a bit rate of 6kbps and a audio sample rate of 8.000 khz. So the problem is a software problem. I would say they chose that setting to keep the file size down.
There are copper traces on the pcb labeled as ant1 (antenna 1) But I think it would be a bit more involved than just soldering a piece of wire on instead. They are designed to be certain lengths etc for certain radio waves. Beyond my knowledge. You could try it tho. Easily undo able if you are just tackin on a bit of copper wire to the existing pcb trace
hi. Thank you for the teardown. I was going to see if I could replace the mic as the sound recording is bad. But I see there is mic markings on the board but it does not look like there is a mic on the board. I am wondering if it just uses the speaker as a mic. Did you find the mic when you had it apart?
I think it could potentially be that small component labelled J2 at 4:46 Unless that is some sort of light sensor. Otherwise its probably using the speaker as the mic like you say
Also at 3:02 it's marked as mic. But I see no components that look like mics. They are all tiny smd caps and resistors. I just had another look at it in person. You could test your speaker as a mic theory by poking the speaker with a toothpick gently to see if it records sounds of you poking it. They are very weak so do it very lightly.
@@rattech I tried tapping the speaker but the tapping was not very loud so the speaker does not seem the be the mic as well. There is a small hole just below the lens it is very loud when I tap there. I thought that was for the day/night sensor just looking at your video.

Enable 2.4 ghz on your router , connect camera with 2.4 ghz, set your wifi region, still not detecting then choose a wifi channel between 1-11 .make sure your camera is in wifi range of router.

@@Viral_vittles did the power supply from your Internet adapter match the same voltage (and polarity)? Im not sure. In theory yes. It only has 4 pins. A regular ethernet cable has 8 cores (4 pairs). But only 4 cores (2 pairs) are used on low speed connections (under 100mbps). So you'd have to work out which 4 wires to use from the 'ethernet' cable, and the work out which of those go to which 4 pins on the connector on the camera.

I went down a different path to overcome this problem. I set the camera not to switch to night mode and instead installed sensor lights outside.

Hi. Thank you for the video. I see two wires connected to lenses. Do they switch the Day/Night mode? Is it some mechanical filter?
got stains on the outer part of the lens. is it possible to replace it?
Red light is stable in my camera, green light is not coming and has gone into offline mode. If there is any solution, please tell.

Hello! Can this be repaired if the unit got damage due to plugging it directly to a 220v without its adaptor?
Unlikely. How did that even happen?
