The announcer guy is clear, informative and concise and does not ramble like other demo videos I've seen from other places. More playing would be nice though.
Hi there great vids..I wonder if you may be able to help me. I want to play the YC88"s amazing sound from an external keyboard and...play a piano voice on the YC88. I don't know why I can't figure this out..haven't used midi in years With Thanks Dave
Nice overview, and thanks for the comparison with the CP. Tempted with this, but wondering how much over the odds I'm paying if I don't care too much about organs...
The thing I’m not a fan of on this board of that or dosnt have the “let up” feature the way you have it in a Kawai with the rh3 action! I play on this board at my church and i love it but it really fatigued my fingers because my fingertips just slam against the bottom rather than having a smooth release the way it is in a real grand I own the Kawai mp7se and prefer playing that rather than the yc88
I'm waiting to hear all other things the YC 88 has besides Organ, Piano and strings. I wanna hear Demo songs, Rhythm styles, sound effects, every single feature a keyboard can have along with great great sound samples! Keyboards are getting so much better nowadays and I wanna hear it all! Spit it out! Spill the beans! Play it all! Show us! Please?
First of all the action isn't "amazing." It's good but not Kawai MP11SE amazing. Moreover, I'd rather have a very good midi controller (like an Arturia Keylab MKII 88) and a bunch of VST libraries. Actually, that is what I have. I can see a live player buying this... but I can do much much much more with my setup... and that is without firing up my DAW.
You do seem to like the sound of your own voice. Writing the same tedious drivel all over the internet. A board designed for the gigging musician and you want to compare it to a slab that weighs more than some flagship workstations and is a studio platform, before anything that anyone would want to carry to a show or between venues on a regular basis. Certainly you can can manage the mp11se in this setting; but it has a larger footprint and a narrower sound set, as well as native sounds that are less optimised to a mix of instruments. Not surprising, since the majority of people using the mp play solo Piano and are Pianists. Not those looking for a device mix or a band. CP/YC have a action that is lighter and less focused on minute detail because that adds weight. The Kawai would be much lighter like the mp7 if it could be. Instead its much like the Clavs and stationary DPs. Saying the 'Yamaha isn't the Kawai because it's designed for a different purpose' is obvious. This is a market for professional musicians who understand before hand what a product is for. You know this full well and much like that retard Abdol who frequents many of the same boards you do, have this laughable need to bash products wherever you go. Shut up and go away already.

Can't wait to see you using the YC88 and the Montage live with Jake Bugg...
