Nick DeBlasio Have you ever tried living in the UK? If fuel and insurance was as cheap here as it is in the US then I'm sure we would all love to drive huge V8s, but it isn't! Petrol here costs well over $6 per gallon, and anybody under 25 can forget about a GTR or anything similar, insurance would likely be around $20k plus!.....if you can even get coverage at all. That and the fact that there are so many speed cameras here now that having over 300bhp car is largely irrelevant since you can seldom use that power without getting ticketed. Not all the world is as cheap and large as America you know....

few things i feel i need to clear up for a few unappreciative twats here.. its not fucking rice, its all standard apart from the alloys and exhaust externally, the wing is standard. and its not a fart canon, she said herself its a mugen piece and if you know anything (which you clearly dont) mugen dont let their exhausts make stupid noises at low RPM its a pure performance upgrade. in the Uk our roads are small and tight and twisty, bar the motorways, so big v8's are pointless as they wont get anywhere. and the DC5 Integra is an amazing drive and a small car to be able to have fun over here to the people saying it shouldnt be featured because hardly anything has been changed... did you even watch the video? she picked it up in a really bad state and fixed it up. repaired bits, replaced bits resprayed the body and then put her own touches to the car. the whole point of these features is the passion for their rides, so they can share them with you. and finally. she's certainly not ugly so i dont get why some of you felt the need to say that, disrectectful gobshites. anyways. nice feature, nice car, and she displays a passion for cars surpassing most of you here. thanks CT & freya for the piece

Every Honda owner's guilty pleasure, whether fanboy or not, hearing vtec crack. Heck my mom's odyssey has a vtec engine and it cracks vtec at high(er) rpm like a Civic Si.
i swear people will never respect honda.. even though they have made the most hp N/A in a 4cyl (240hp to the crank, honda s2k, 2.0L)..also the b16 CTR (187hp to the crank, 4cyl 1.6L) ..not only are those impressive numbers..there cars are very light weight and have a STRONG aftermarket support. while youre paying $700 a month for your 350z ..you can buy a hatch and spend $3000 on it and give your 350 a run for its money
Honda makes a pretty good product (the newer gen civic excluded imho). It's the owners/drivers that keep killing the brand. The same thing is starting to happen to the WRX (now that they are old enough to be afordable to the same crowd that ruined Honda).

The Integra is one of those few cars with a timeless design. Even quite a few years after its release, it still looks new and exciting. Another car that does this quite well is the mx 5. Even almost 20 years later, it still looks relatively new. Can anybody think of any others?
Every time I think about getting rid of my DC5 something comes along and reminds me why I love it so much. Really miss driving my car, and can't wait to have the opportunity again real soon.

My ukdm integra was a heap when we got it. Scuffed bumper, rims etc. Re painted the bumper, got new rims. It was a Dc2. Had to sell it in 2009. Found out it had been scrapped a few weeks back. Was such a beautiful car.

lol funny you mention a Z. I have a 350 and 370 and i'm working on getting a 240Z. When I was little I used to think the Z33 was on the level of Ferrari and Porsche because it looked like one and it was my dream car because I didn't know much about it as a kid. To answer some stupid comments, she never said she had a skyline, It is an Integra Type R, they are Integras in UK and typically you wont see many on the road in the UK only really at car meets and even then not so many so they are rare in a sense in the Uk
First off the Acura only exists in North America everywhere else it's just Honda.The RSX name also only exists in America , there still called Integra in pretty much every other country it's sold. The ITR she's driving is very rare , except for maybe Japan , you see more CTRs(civic type r) in Europe and those a rare too. We have the rsx type S here but don't confused that with the ITR she's driving , it's like comparing our old DC2 integra gsr to a integra type r. ITR's more power , better handling and usually a little lighter. Also DC5 refers to the body type.

We are, generally speaking, the country that takes quality Honda tuning the most seriously, and have the most examples of how to do it right (even in Japan Hondas have always been the "red-headed stepchild" of the tuning scene). That being said, there were/are a lot of people here in the states doing it wrong and putting ridiculous low quality visual modifications ahead of driving performance and subtlte tastefuly aggressive styling. If by "USDM people," you mean those who appreciate the cars that are more upper scale or more rare for our market like the '92-'93 Integra GS-R with the B17A1, the Acura ITR, or the '90-'91 Prelude Si with the B21A1 which was the first engine to use FRM cylinder liners (U.S. engineered) that went on to be utilized in the the C32B and F20C/F22C engines then count me in. There was even an "Si States" model Prelude released in small numbers in Japan that featured the B21A.

Well as far as i know u can buy forged pistons from japan and rods and you can lower the compression pretty easily and slap a turbo on there and still keep it JDM.... and why would they have to be euro parts and not american...
OspreyBravo18 Never seen american pistons for any European or Japan cars but from what i know my friend has has a Skyline imported from Japan and he replaced the pistons and rods with Euro because they are build to last longer. And with most Japan pistons/rods even if they are forged too much boost wont destroy the pistons or rods at that moment but give or take 50k miles and you need new rods or pistons :)

that's because the North American market sold it as an Acura RSX... Honda owns Acura, hence why it goes both ways when people refer to the NSX, or why you'll hear the occasional "Acura Integra".. so in the end, it's kinda similar to sayin' "taters" instead of "potatoes"..

its not fucking rice, its all standard apart from the alloys and exhaust externally, the wing is standard. and its not a fart canon, she said herself its a mugen piece and if you know anything (which you clearly dont) mugen dont let their exhausts make stupid noises at low RPM its a pure performance upgrade.
in the Uk our roads are small and tight and twisty, bar the motorways, so big v8's are pointless as they wont get anywhere. and the DC5 Integra is an amazing drive and a small car to be able to have fun over here
to the people saying it shouldnt be featured because hardly anything has been changed... did you even watch the video? she picked it up in a really bad state and fixed it up. repaired bits, replaced bits resprayed the body and then put her own touches to the car. the whole point of these features is the passion for their rides, so they can share them with you.

i swear people will never respect honda.. even though they have made the most hp N/A in a 4cyl (240hp to the crank, honda s2k, 2.0L)..also the b16 CTR (187hp to the crank, 4cyl 1.6L) ..not only are those impressive numbers..there cars are very light weight and have a STRONG aftermarket support. while youre paying $700 a month for your 350z ..you can buy a hatch and spend $3000 on it and give your 350 a run for its money

The Integra is one of those few cars with a timeless design. Even quite a few years after its release, it still looks new and exciting. Another car that does this quite well is the mx 5. Even almost 20 years later, it still looks relatively new. Can anybody think of any others?

My ukdm integra was a heap when we got it. Scuffed bumper, rims etc. Re painted the bumper, got new rims. It was a Dc2. Had to sell it in 2009. Found out it had been scrapped a few weeks back. Was such a beautiful car.

lol funny you mention a Z. I have a 350 and 370 and i'm working on getting a 240Z. When I was little I used to think the Z33 was on the level of Ferrari and Porsche because it looked like one and it was my dream car because I didn't know much about it as a kid. First off the Acura only exists in North America everywhere else it's just Honda.The RSX name also only exists in America , there still called Integra in pretty much every other country it's sold. The ITR she's driving is very rare , except for maybe Japan , you see more CTRs(civic type r) in Europe and those a rare too. We have the rsx type S here but don't confused that with the ITR she's driving , it's like comparing our old DC2 integra gsr to a integra type r. ITR's more power , better handling and usually a little lighter. Also DC5 refers to the body type.

it actually doesn't look that bad. the body kit isn't excessive or ricey at all really. brembos, barely any stickers and a clean as fuck paint job. unfortunately she doesn't seem to have many engine mods, but ehhhh ill let it slide lol.

We are, generally speaking, the country that takes quality Honda tuning the most seriously, and have the most examples of how to do it right (even in Japan Hondas have always been the "red-headed stepchild" of the tuning scene). That being said, there were/are a lot of people here in the states doing it wrong and putting ridiculous low quality visual modifications ahead of driving performance and subtlte tastefuly aggressive styling. If by "USDM people," you mean those who appreciate the cars that are more upper scale or more rare for our market like the '92-'93 Integra GS-R with the B17A1, the Acura ITR, or the '90-'91 Prelude Si with the B21A1 which was the first engine to use FRM cylinder liners (U.S. engineered) that went on to be utilized in the the C32B and F20C/F22C engines then count me in. There was even an "Si States" model Prelude released in small numbers in Japan that featured the B21A.
ThatOneGuy Nicely said, actually I do am a fan of the F20C engine despite being more of a Nissan guy, after all, it took Ferrari itself to break its record of hp/L with the 458. The thing is, I'm in many facebook groups and similar things about "car enthusiasts", and I can't stand those that everytime they see a Honda is either a ricer or gay, even worse are those who say that and then they see an NSX and they're like "No! That's an Acura! Honda is shit!". Even Senna drove a Honda engine, and look how good he was! (R.I.P.) That's what I hate.
USDM is "US Domestice Market", like JDM. mostly those guys are muscle car guys, USDM, of course I didn't mean all American people. US has cool stuff too, there's Titan with their Supras, ALPHA with that monstruous R35 Alpha 12, and so on. I was never into muscle because I find ridiculous how large their engines are for the output they produce, I just don't like them the way I like JDM. And you don't see me hating on them everywhere...

Well as far as i know u can buy forged pistons from japan and rods and you can lower the compression pretty easily and slap a turbo on there and still keep it JDM.... and why would they have to be euro parts and not american...
OspreyBravo18 Never seen american pistons for any European or Japan cars but from what i know my friend has has a Skyline imported from Japan and he replaced the pistons and rods with Euro because they are build to last longer. And with most Japan pistons/rods even if they are forged too much boost wont destroy the pistons or rods at that moment but give or take 50k miles and you need new rods or pistons :)

they are rare in England, I've only seen a few in the past couple of years on the road. Sure, if you goto a JDM meet you'll see loads, but generally on the road you don't see them.

that's because the North American market sold it as an Acura RSX... Honda owns Acura, hence why it goes both ways when people refer to the NSX, or why you'll hear the occasional "Acura Integra".. so in the end, it's kinda similar to sayin' "taters" instead of "potatoes"..

Since they were named after women they were referred to as women, and it wasn't long before that became a trend. Well that and in older languages 'ship' was a feminine word.
