How fast were you going when the engine soon light turned on. Also are you going to put a kick ass sound system in there to complement that exhaust. You would have the best of both worlds.
So i got up to about 120 and once i started slowing down around about 90 or so the engine light came on. I dont have plans on putting a sound system in atm, but could be something I do in the future
yooo Im from St.paul in the twin cities with a 2005 STS as well Im planning on fixing my headlight using you're other video too! I love this car to death, do you get your sounds just from the exhaust/muffler or did you do anything special to the v8 just curious would love to get a similar sound
Nice! So for the exhaust all I did was delete the mufflers and resonators. Look in my previous vids, I make a video taking them off so you can see what the process is like
Couldn't stay away from the STS eh? I know my car is a keeper for sure. Let me know if you find a tuner, I heard the 2005-2006 sts ecm is locked or something, very hard to tune.
Lol, I had to, I have a soft spot for these cars, but yeah I heard about the ecm being locked, but im talking with a shop they said could possibly tune it
@@Dan300 Don't blame ya, hopefully this car will alot more reliable for you. Looks mint. I got a question for ya. Since your last sts was newer, and your current one is the same year as mine. Would you say the seats are the same hardness? Was one more comfortable? I did some reading, some people said after 2007 the seats got softer. I thought my seats were really hard, although not uncomfortable Suprisingly. Just figure if I could swap some softer seats I just might.
@@Dan300 Gotcha, Good to know Thanks! I do have a set of seats for an sts I pulled from a 2006, they don't have the cooled function, and I don't know if the heat works, but the seat cushion has very little wear on it. I have both front seats if your interested.
@@Dan300 nice Thats what I went with either way sounds good man. If you search 02 sensor spacer it can fix your catylytic codes all you do is screw it in before your 02 sensor helped me out.

@@2005llyduramax nah, the seats feels exactly the same to me, i can't event tell that this is an 05, if feels exactly like my 07

If you get annoyed of it being to loud put some flowmasters. Sounds way better the straight pipe is just a little to loud.

@@Dan300 rough sounds coming when I turn, mostly just to the right but it’s not exactly a squeaking noise but almost like a grinding in a way
My dad lives on a gravel road and I can feel a little bit of olay coming from the front over speed bumps and on the road in general
@@austinwoolridge8448 it could be a suspension part, maybe a bad tie rod? Have a mechanic look at it first before you replace the rack and pinion
