HERE WE GO! Welcome to Pt.4 of our 2022 Cape York adventure! In this episode we catch up with @speyles and a few other crew and start on the Old Telegraph Track! But it doesn't start well..Palm Creek is completely inundated with water and with three chewed out tracks we are running out of options to get our 8 car convoy on its way! PALM CREEK WITH NO WINCH! Good explanation about being prepared before entering the creek
The last time I did the tele track we met and spoke to a photographer camped at palm creek and he photographed a crock in there. Glad you didn’t see one haha

Love how navs blowing the raging fire trying to get it going for the camera
If you do the Tele, or similar tracks that need shovels, pack a Mattock/ Gruber with you, better than a shovel and the head comes off for packing not light, but you can track build way quicker cut through anything in the ground, ideally you don’t want to make a bigger impact on the tracks but in that situation it will save the track and the vehicles and you will do a better job of making the track better, which means less B lines and less damage to the surroundings.
Ps Sams truck is not really a Nissan anymore is it? It’s a mutant..😝
I can't believe there's someone else that uses the word Gruber, it been decades, I've built km's of bush track with them, they're unbeatable.

Great to see a Mitsi Challenger in the group. Probably the most underrated 4x4 there is. Again the old story, you dont have to spend a fortune to have fun out there.
I just love these videos, I've literally just finished this episode and I'm hanging for the next. When Nav asked what i liked in terms of content, i said it don't matter.... but please, more of this!!

Great video, looks like a ripper trip. Boerewors is delicious, but you should get some biltong into ya. And Nav is a bloody legend! He was great with my bugger of a 3 year old at the Melbourne 4x4 show when he was causing mischief. Ended up buying a few shirts because I appreciated him being great with my kids when they were cheeky.

Only just got back Saturday arvo from being up there for 2 weeks, mate put his triton and camper down palm Creek and gunshot
From that drop into palm creek did you guys walk up river to the right and have a look? About 50m along the creek there was another exit point which when i was there a few weeks after you guys was a pretty easy drive

We found out later if you go right up the creek there was a easier exit but it’s always good to drive the main track and not bush bash to create new ones
I want to come up from Sydney and just sus the place out. Would love just to come and watch people attempt these tracks. Thanks for heads up

What happened to the right side exit about 150m up the creek at palm?? Was only there a couple of months ago. Easy ish
There was a big tree covering the exit when we were there but we heard it has since been moved

Was a prototype unit and had a couple little dramas with all the corrugations but has since been all sorted 👌
Never done the Tele track. How many km and how many nights does it take the average punter to do it?
Hey mate you could do it in a day or two depending on the conditions but I’d easily put aside 3-4 days to do it and enjoy the camping spots along the way 👌

I appreciate you may have needed to do a little track digging/building but did you really need to cut so many trees down? As you mentioned at the beginning Not Ideal!
