Funny how most of the community think Glaives suck when its clearly a matter of widespread misuse. You have a big content guy telling you how bad they are and then proceeds to feature 9 minutes of gameplay where he never raises the shield once. Then there's this dude, who has figured out how OP that shit is. Literally the only weapon type in the game that allows you to play that way in a GM. Good run Arc. Very entertaining.

Great run, a tip for maybe sub 13, the champions in the hallway at 5:35 you can skip one of them and still get platinum which would also let you just skip the rest of the ads in that room
You know i used to watch these back in the day and since then, I've been maining arc warlock. In ANY activity i know i can be Literally INVINCIBLE with this build. Its like i dont enjoy using other builds just cuz this one is too hard to pass up on. It's become my personality! Just came back to say this... PS: Hope to see you in final shape
Its potency will go down a little bit after this season because of no seasonal arc mods, but I agree. I used this build in this GM and it was quite powerful! I much prefer it over something like crown of tempest of that other helmet that buffs ionic traces
As an arc hunter who runs assassins cowl thru everything. I absolutely fucking hate arc warlocks. Always putting their stupid well down on me and giving me that stupid arc soul that makes it so I can’t even use assassins cowl. There should be an option to not receive certain buffs if it doesn’t benefit your characters build and actually makes it worse.
I watched Timelords run earlier, which brought me to your run. The aggressive play is so cool to watch nice work, bud. The only thing I fear is Bungie seeing this video, and Vesper gets the Starfire treatment. It seems like they hate warlocks lately 😂

The statement was made out of pure jest, and also, please explain to me how you but nobody else is getting TONS (your words) of grenades out of Starfire still.

Its free, extremely high damage grenades every 10 seconds or less just for putting myself in a decent position that I would have done anyways. Where's the everybody else. I dont get whats hard about using the exotic? You're getting a flat 20% buff to recharge rate at all times on one of the shortest cooldown grenades. You're getting energy for every hit and 1/5 of your grenade per kill just for being in a rift. You have one of if not THE best super in the game that also functions with the exotic like a better rift. You can take advantage of class and arm mods to even further lower cooldowns, run weapons with perks like Demolitionist or just have good ad clear weapons to maximize kills in a rift, etc.
I made a reddit post last year about some glaive shield duration testing I did. Turns out that the shield duration masterwork on CRAFTED glaives does not provide any benefit. I don't know if bungie stealth patched it or if it is still a bug. You may get more benefit from handling/range masterwork on your glaive. The post is titled "Glaive Shield Duration - Results of measuring the time taken to deplete the shield"

It will feel less effective after the season but will probably still be viable in some regard. The DR from Electric Armor and the super damage buff from Thunderous Retort def makes the build more viable
Having an Arc glaive is nice bc matching affinities with mods and what not. Demolitionist and Frenzy are the real drivers with Extrovert being a cherry on top for extra survivability. Anytime 😉

🙃😭🤔 The build would def perform worse without Electric Armor (mistakenly named Amped Up) which provides 35% DR while amplified. I've ran builds without anything like Electric Armor (Whisper of Chains, Void Overshield, etc.) and it feels terrible. Without some sort of intrinsic DR buff to Arc like Electric Armor via a seasonal patch, I worry about the build's viability. That's how I feel currently but maybe I'll get some time to "feel it out". Btw, something can be absolutely horrible solo but great in team play, and vice versa. I think this build without the artifact would still be great while playing with a team, just harder solo
yo i got a similar build but it gets infinite arc granades when it hits more than 3 enemies its broken because you can kill lots of enemies in some seconds lol

It at least can work with the Stasis Fragment that has that effect meaning freezing and shattering on the initial use of your rift.

Starfire still lets you put out tons of fusions and wells in GMs. And y'all just got Cenotaph which gives you more heavy than you could ever need
