Here's another backing track I recorded for my guitar students, 100BPM.
Some scale choices to improvise:
- E Dorian to A Mixolydian to D Major, their arpeggios and their respective pentatonics (boo! I knew that...)
- Modify a minor pentatonic substituting the b7 for a maj6 for Dorian
- Modify a Major pentatonic substituting the 6 for a b7 for Mixolydian
- Play a minor pentatonic half step below DMaj for a Lydian/Jazzier sound
- Use altered scales on dominant chord
