      Of course we have been to the moon, and I am not one of those idiots pretending we have not. However, one thing hasn't been pointed out or made clear here. It's about the reflectors. I know Apollo 15 put them there, and I know they work. But moonlanding conspiracists claim the Russians also have put reflectors on the moon with unmanned missions. Which is, I think true. Not only the Russians I presume, but also the Americans. So, the conspiracists claim the presence of the reflectors is not proof of men having been on the moon. I would have liked them to clear that out in the video, but they did not. When the moonlanding deniers submit me that fact, I don't know what to answer them, though there are sufficient other things to answer and convince them - that they cannot be convinced is another thing, that's just proof of an empty head. But still.

    • @poudink5791
      @poudink5791 2 месяца назад +6

      @@AneesKoya Yes, the MythBusters got the myth wrong. The argument isn't that there were two light sources. Having shadows at different angles is very easy with a single light source if close enough. The argument is that the light source had to be studio lighting, because given the sun's distance, all shadows should appear parallel.
      But in the end, that doesn't really matter. Their counterargument is that the shadows were in fact parallel, which works against either argument, since they both rely on the belief that the shadows were non-parallel.

    • @GregoireDerdeyn
      @GregoireDerdeyn Месяц назад

      Correct! That is also a thing they didn't focus on. Multiple light sources give multiple shadows. Here you only see one shadow, which means there is only one light source. Those shadows have another direction, only because they are on uneven terrain.
      Have you ever seen a football (soccer) footbal match at night? The terrain is illuminated from the four corners of the field. And when they shine, you can clearly see the players cast four shadows in different directions. Because there are four light sources coming from four different directions.

      The fact that people are arguing about this in the comments of this video is kinda funny . With the technology of that time. You would need to build an entire landscape since CGI wasn't a thing, build a giant tower to place a lamp on far from the "set" since laser screens for directional lighting wasn't a thing yet either, you would have to build huge vacuum chambers for the feather drop and flag scene. Along with developing suits for the "actors" to be safe in. ALONG WITH BUILDING A GIANT ROCKET TO "FAKE" THE ASCENT to the moon. And therefore faking a moon landing would literally cost more than actually just going there.

    For anyone reading this today: ill share my own stupidity:
    I remember reading and seeing that astronauts on the ISS did moonwalks to repair the station and whatnot, but what i didnt understand is how? how can they be outside the spacestation when the spacestation is moving at 19,000 km/h , Thats IMPOSSIBLE. But then i realised.. theres no air in space, there's nothing to pull or drag them of off the station, haha. quite amazing though.

    • @gbulmer
      @gbulmer 6 месяцев назад +3

      Small correction. _"astronauts on the ISS did _*_moonwalks"_* is not true. A *'moonwalk'* happens on the moon. The correct term technical is 'Extravehicular activity' (EVA), which is what the ISS astronauts did. However, it's often called a 'spacewalk' by the media even though it's not a walk. So 'spacewalk' is more accurate and understandable than 'moonwalk'.
      Best Wishes. ☮

What makes me have that niggling doubt isn't all of the stuff that was tested. It's, why have we never been back since? It's been what... 60 years, give or take? In all that time we've not been back even once. Or even attempted to go back. That bothers me. Again, I am not claiming it was faked, so don't come @ me lmao. Just saying, it makes me wonder.

    1. 6:47 shows that the light source is between the spaceship and the rocks, making their shadows slightly skewed to opposite directions.
    2. 7:16 the light source clearly moved, as the spaceship's shadow is slightly skewed to the opposite direction of its previous shadow. The rock's shadow is even more skewed than it was previously, as it is now farther away from the light source.
    3. They don't show the "changes" in the terrain skewing shadows in real time, only before and after is shown. They also don’t show the (moved) light source on the second time frame (7:16). If they were telling the truth, then they have nothing to hide. A tall object (like a stick) next to the rocks could be used as a reference of the actual light angle, and it would have easily proved me wrong. But there isn't one.
    4. This whole experiment shows how easy it is to fake moon landing shots

    TOTAL DISRESPECT! (Please Scroll Down To See Why!) I am very, very grateful to the MythBusters for doing THIS Episode! This is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Episode in my book!
    5:50 - MythBusters! Guys, sure the changing Topography will change the shadows, but so will a Wide Angle Lens do! And they did use Wide Angle Lenses on their Hasselblad Cameras. I am a Photographer, and having studied the Moon Landing Photos and Footage. Could they have been made in a Studio? Yes, with A LOT OF WORK. But it would have been very difficult. Judging from all the myriads of Artefacts, I judge the Photos to have been taken on the Surface of the Moon.
    27:08 - They should have used a rig to make the Boot Print that moved down and up in a straight line, and with 1/6 of the Mass of an Astronaut + Suit + Backpack and some speed to make a proper imprint like the Astronauts did in the Regolith Ejecta Blanket on the Surface of the Moon.
    29:18 - Disappointing solution by the MythBusters. When you stretch a rubber band or spring, the opposite Force increases the more you stretch it. In the TV Series about the American Space Program from the early days until the last Moon Landing, 'From the Earth to the Moon' they simulated the Moon's Gravity by hooking up two thin steel wires to the waiste ring on the Actors' Space Suits, then they connected the wires to Helium Balloons overhead that were filled with Helium to the point where they gave the Actors so much lift, that they only pressed down on the Studio Surface with only 1/6 of the normal pressure. That way they had practically the same pull, whether they stood still or jumped around. A much more Realistic and Elegant Solution than this MythBusters rig, which allows you to walk around without any cumbersome rig overhead.
    TOTAL DISRESPECT!
    Of the 300,000+ Men and Women who were involved in America's GIGANTIC Task of sending Mankind to the Moon and back, several Astronauts and Civilians died in accidents. Many Marriages went up in smoke because of the intense pressure it was to make this Gigantic Project happen before the 1960s Decade was out, and thus keep their promise to the late President John F. Kennedy.
    Claiming the Moon Landings never happened is first of all bogus and a testament to a lack of Intelligence. In order for a Conspiracy to be successful, you need as few people as possible knowing about it. Keeping close to 400,000 people in the dark would be all but impossible, when they all talked with each other about the Components and Systems their daily job was to make. Making all these Components and Systems and then NOT go to he Moon, would be more cumbersome and difficult, than just making them, putting them together in a MASSIVE collaborative effort and in fact land on the Moon.
    Besides, the Russians were listening in on ALL Radio Traffic between the Apollo Space Crafts and the Ground Stations on Earth. If the American Crews hadn't gone to the Moon and landed there, the Russians would have immediately known it was a hoax. These Conspiracy Nuts who believe the landings were faked, do they really believe that the Communist Arch Enemy of the United States of America, the Soviet Union REALLY would have kept QUIET about what would have been the biggest FRAUD in Human History!!!?
    ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Pravda and Izvestia would have run out of ink printing such a PROPAGANDA COUP!!!
    But the saddest part about these LUNY Conspiracy Theories is that they are a TOTAL DISRESPECT of the Nation and the Men and Women who sacrificed so much, some even paying with their LIVES to make this happen! For that reason alone, these smarty pants ought to put a sock in it! Not only is the samples taken from the Moon, the instrumentation left on the surface by the Astronauts, the Soviet Union's Envy and the graves of the fallen PROOF enough! The Sacrifice of everybody involved ought to be RESPECTED and HONORED as becomes Men and Women having achieved something even Greater than the Seven Wonders of the World.
    🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 In my humble opinion, the Apollo Program was and is in reality THE EIGHT WONDER OF THE WORLD! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
