I’m glad you appreciate A. geniculata so much! Honestly, it’s one of those species that is just so cool yet so underrated! They have incredible feeding responses, are always out in the open, grow relatively fast and are drop dead gorgeous! Everyone NEEDS to have one in their tarantula collection! 🕷❤️
@@tarantulakat love it. ❤ Thank you for your videos. I have lost the heart attack fear of spiders when see now and have caught a few to release outside. Keep up the great work.
I love that Kat still squeals and jumps at fast moving Ts, because I definitely sometimes (always) quietly (loudly) scream at a teleporting T. Great vid as always!
I think this is my favorite feeding video you've ever done! And I can't wait for you to rehouse your Carabena Versicolor! I want to see all her pretty colors!
Wow! Some great footage today! A. geniculata is one of my favorite species, always a pleasure to see one featured. I especially love their feeding responses. 😄 Fantastic close up of your blue fang, too! Could even see some green on its booty when it turned around. So pretty!
LOL Caribena Versicolor. Mine is such a prima donna. I literally have to drop the cricket on his/her web (still a sling) for it to eat. S/he refuses to go more than an inch away from their web opening and will ignore anything not .right. there.
i only have one tarantula at the moment and i havent seen it in almost a month now since it went into pre molt so this is where i go to get my tarantula fix.
Great video as always!! I'm just back home from the very last holiday of the year..... and TWO Kat's video are here!!! That's the best return! Much love you all!! 💖💖💖
9:57 What a beautiful spider! It's fangs are the color of blueberries and then it leg joints are that bright golden rod yellow, very pretty. Edit: At 10:07 oh wow!! I just spotted the bright iridescent blue under the legs, wow that is gorgeous!
I wish my B. Boehmei was as brave a hunter as your A. Seemanni. It runs from dubias half it's size most the time. I'm like "Come on just eat it you coward ... 😐". It's 1" and I have to find the tiniest bugs for it to take anything live. Luckily it seems to scavenge pretty well if I murder the insects for it at this point. Still I'm like "Dude just eat it 😐"
Just look at the ones hers that size are in.. why does she have to answer that.? The answer is in almost every one if her vids.. also.. try ,"exotic lair" out if u want another cool channel..
Generally speaking a 2 to 3 inch tarantula should be in the medium size 8x6x6 or the 6 in tarantula cube. Tarantula cribs has some pretty good guidelines on their site for finding this out. You can also contact tarantula cribs with this question, as they are tarantula keepers themselves and know what you would need from their product.
Crickets aren't my favourite either when it comes to feeding my tarantula's. I agree they're stinky! Love watching your channel tarantula Kat. Yes!! Great feeding video. ❤️😊👍🏾😁
I just lost a carabena versicolor. I had 4 slings. My last 3 are bigger. Hoping my last 3 are ok. I actually believe I fed it too soon after a molt. I fed crickets. It was fine.
the lazadora literally said ew what did just touch me what was this so dramatically how they just tilted their body when the cricket touched them it was rlly funny
I'm also a huge fan of A geniculata's. I love everything about them, they are such a great species. I cant pick a favourite but my A gen is a very loved girl here. She's a sub adult & loves food, anything that moves she attacks lol xx
Hey Kat, I have a Caribena Versicolor that's a sling. I bought it from a great place here where I live but as I was putting them into their new home I came to look closer and saw they were missing 3 legs. Being so small what would you recommend making sure.. well that they make it.
Just got a P. Sazimai sling, it’s about 1/3 of a inch, and my anxiety is so clenched because I want to make sure it is eating so it has the best chance of surviving. It’s small so I tried fruit flys, nothing today, if anyone has advice on feeding skittish slings running from their prey let me know please?
@@tarantulakat thank you! If you don’t mind I do have a question, people usually have different answers to this question but it’s okay to feed a small sling more often than a mature adult right?
Kat, When you say that a specific tarantula was one of the first ones you ever got do you mean the species or the actual tarantula in general? I asked because if they were the first tarantulas that you've gotten I would assume they'd be bigger or are all these species slow growing?
I would be afraid the crickets would bite and injure the little slings. It looked as if, that cricket bit the rose hair baby. The one that did the adorable little threat pose.
Ugh, I stumbled across your channel after getting into jumping spiders and now I definitely need a Caribena versicolor and skeleton leg tarantula at minimum. Help
just something i thought you should know that i would like to point out about your bearded dragons vid is bearded dragons cant see water unless its moving because water is clear second thing is is that by putting a water bowl in your beadies cage could also cause humidity issues which also isnt good for bearded dragons its better for you to manually give your beardie water considering the fact they cant see water or just give your beardie a bath a few times a week and even if they dont drink it they will still be able to get water through there skin just a penny for your thoughts
I remember when my 2cm Nhandu chromatus gave me a threat pose, now I look back my spider must hate me because instead of being scared of her I was saying "awww she's adorable" xD
