People love twisting Chan's words and it got to a point where jype just decided to end Chan's room. It's really sad because it was a safe space for a lot of people and for Chan too
I swear lowkey we are the problems we just like blaming the company but at the end of the day it’s us that twisted his words ( I mean stays ) and then to make it worse they sent some truck too💀😭 ngl I still find that interesting like how did they even thought that it’ll help ? Anyway I wish we could change some of the things we do as a fandom because we don’t really have good name 😭? It’s not for that reason! Stop lying. He only said his company told him to stop at a fan meeting but then he said it was also his decision. They probably tired and have a lot of work to do so he wants to rest more

Chan has always been a very honest idol, even though he's not supposed to be bc of idol image and all that shit, so he made a comment in his last ever livestream about how younger idols aren't as respectful to older idols anymore and don't even greet them anymore
he never mentioned any names but Netizens thought it was most likely a girl group called IVE and it made their fans (Dives) get angry at Chan, to the point where he had to make a formal apology, despite still not mentioning any names
the theory is that in order to 'punish' him, JYPE and DIV1 permanently banned Chan's room and didn't allow him to explain the sudden ending. either that or Chan decided to end it and still wasn't allowed to explain the ending
at the end of the day, the reason for it ending wasn't Chan or his comments, but the Stays and Netizens who started trying to figure out who he was talking about

In one of the last episode of Chan's room he said that younger groups didn't greet them properly and ignored him when he tried to do soo and even though he didn't mention any name or any group , people just assumed that it was a girl group IVE and soo he had to apologise and since then we haven't any Chan's room 😔
And recently a stay posted a video asking chan to react to a song but he said he couldn't do Chan's room anymore soo people think it's because of that...

I’m gonna explain the chans room thing cause i’m very sad abt it. Basically Chan was talking about how a group had no manners to him and stuff and a certain stay made a video about a certain group that had nothing to do with it and that groups fandom made the situation big. So basically It was a stay that started it but the other fandom made the situation big. Anyways he had to go on instagram and apologize and had to reassure that the group that was mentioned was not the group he was talking about. Once chan confirmed that he can’t do chans room anymore stays sent trucks in front of the company saying “bring back chans room” and he was not happy abt it. he went on bubble and although he didn’t directly say it he basically said that stays weren’t helping the situation even tho they thought they were. So yeah that was the last thing that happened with this. He confirmed that chans room is definitely not coming back

after the controversy between stays and IVE, i think chan wasnt allowed to do chan's room anymore cuz of what chan said about manners and greetings among younger groups. it caused a major spark among the kpop stans and was a pr issues he even had to apologize...

Chan’s room was cancelled cuz of the controversy from the situation he had a while back where he said something and fans assumed and went after another group for what he said; they discontinued Chan’s room probably because they don’t want something like this happening again, and it kind of makes sense.. he’s still representing the company and the less chances for controversy the better

as far as we know, chans room is over for now.
he indirectly said on bubble that it was his decision ('everything is my decision, my rules') and then hinted that he's mad at stay for assuming otherwise and getting mad at jype ('you know what i hate the most? when people think that they're helping but they're not')
in my opinion i think jype and div1 were definitely involved since otherwise chan would've been open about it ending, since he knows that many stay rely on it, but i guess we'll never know
it's also a known thing that when stay get mad at the company for something, they send chan in for 'damage control' to sort out the situation and that's kind of what his messages on bubble sounded like, to me at least
his birthday livestream next month is gonna be hella awkward though since he hasn't done one in months
It's weird cause we have conflicting information. We have Chan more or less saying that JYPE is the one stopping him and that he wants to do Chan's room and then we also have him indirectly telling us that it's his decision. While the "Everything is my decision, my rules," message was interesting, I don't think the "You know what I hate the most? When people think they're helping but they're not," message was neccisarily him being mad at Stays for getting mad at JYPE, it could have just been him telling Stays that sending trucks wasn't actually doing anything to aid the situation with JYPE. Honestly, it kinda irks me when Stays are like "Trust Chan, don't just mindlessly blame the company," because like... what is trusting Chan? He has said conflicting things. And why hasn't anyone said anything directly? Like why were his messages cryptic? Why didn't he just say it outright? I feel like he would? Unless of course the company is preventing that.

the whole problem with Stay being mad at JYPE could’ve been fully avoided if they actually gave us a reason for it ending rather then misleading us for months only to immediately drop the bomb of Chan saying he can’t go live anymore. even if DIV1 didn’t make Chan end them, im still mad at them for not giving us an explanation

In case you didn't know nigel. The reason its hard to distinguish between British and Australian sometimes is bc Australia used to be a prison island for Britain from 1788-1868. They used to send convicts to usa but they stop being accepted. It wasn't just British convicts either. Irish convicts were sent there too.

Thanks for your reaction, Nigel. Re Chan’s Room, there are facts and then there is a ton of speculation. Fact is his words in the last 208th room were twisted to create a fan war and it was clear some of the Stay fandom was also to blame as it became a mudslinging match between fandoms over something no one could prove. Fact. Chan had to then apologise for indirectly leading to this PR nightmare. Fact. They had their comeback about 3 weeks later and have been super busy ever since. Fact. There was an unauthorised recording at a fan meet that he couldn’t do Chan’s Room anymore. Fact. There were bubble tweets where Chan alluded to everything being his decision. Fact. There is no more Chan’s Room but no one has clearly, company or Chan, said forever. The fire of this situation could have been doused if he or the company directly and clearly said it was over. No one has said that so speculation, blame, anger has been rife. It detracts from focusing on the boys and their work and they are doing A LOT right now. A clear statement either way should be given so everyone can move one. Yet I fear some fans will always believe the company has it out for Chan even if it was his decision. And even if it wasn’t, he is an employee on a contract and there are obligations he needs to adhere to, code of conduct. He is 26 shortly, heading closer to 30 and is a grown man. Critically thinking, maybe he didn’t want to stop Channie’s Room but realises he has to because he cannot trust social media/some parts of the fandom anymore. Only he knows the truth so imho fandom has to stop tainting their work with speculations and celebrate them even louder, harder and prouder.
Yes he very obviously told us to read between the lines with his bubble messages, but it's still speculation to say it was all his decision.
The reason they haven't given a statement is because they hoped people would just accept it and move on. If they gave a statement they would have to tell the truth (they banned him from streaming, has happened before for similar reasons) and no one could defend the company by saying it was all Chan's own choice.
If it was all his choice do you really think he would have said the company isn't letting him? Do you think they would have any reason why he isn't allowed to talk about it? He literally isn't allowed to mention Chan's room.
Anyway, it is very clear from Chan's bubble messages that we went too far asking for it back and probably just caused more harm than good so just try to be chill about it. Also I am not claiming that any of this is fact but I'd like for you guys to consider what I've said.
