Well done, gents! Reaching out from the NE coast of Brazil, where I'm laboring away on my H1. Hope to have it on the water this time next year. So gratifying to see lots of balding, fat men enjoying themselves on these beautiful H2s. I turn 70 next week and sometimes wonder if I'm kidding myself about sailing a boat this small and lively, all hiked out. Obviously you Brits have settled the matter. Good on yous. But I must have one of these H2s. They are magnificent. Olympic class written all over it. Well done, Keith Callaghan.
Thanks for that, Steve! You and I have had a long correspondence during your H1 project and I really enjoy your periodical updates on progress - what a saga! Are you going to write a book about it? As I am sure you have guessed by now, I just love designing boats and seeing others getting joy from building them and sailing them. Seeing those H2s at Torquay was, as ever, a beautiful, emotional experience for me. As for the Olympics.........? Best wishes, Keith
Never heard a race officer opening speach like this one ... really great!
