Yeah, it was a breeding failure, you often don’t get the monster you want but when rares are available it can give you a rare version of the fail instead of a common, happened to me while trying to breed epic entbrat, I got a rare t.rox instead, in other cases it can give you a rare version of the monsters you do want, I got rare quibble and pompom before ever getting the common ones, for some reason rare monsters seem to be very common when they are available

Yes, you can zap them if you have monsters unawake on Wublin, Celestial, Amber islands. I found them all, so the only way is to let them to Nursery. Sorry :/
