Highway To The Sky: Trail Ridge Road Scenic Drive - Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP).

Spanning the continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) sweeps across 415 squares miles (265,807 acres) encompasses a spectacular range of mountains, breathtaking views of jagged peaks, glacier, and high-mountain alpine lakes. The Colorado River’s headwaters are located in RMNP, just west of continental Divide.
Elevations ranging from 8,000 feet to 14,259 feet top of Longs Peak, famous mountain summit attracts peak baggers and hikers, which makes it the 13th highest peak in the Centennial state.
Trail Ridge Road (High point 12,183’ feet) is the highest continuous paved road in North America, it slices through the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Park has incredible wildlife view - herds of Elk, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Bears, Bobcats, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Red Fox’s, Moose, alpine Marmots, Pikas and numerous birds and much more.
