Apparently even on wifi its running pretty well. It's just so frustrating knowing how long we've dealt with delay based netcode
It's weird watching this now, because 3 years ago I was a complete noob at any fighting game, and I watched Maximillian's videos on DBFZ to start understanding how it all worked. Now I'm God of Destruction rank and a huge fighting game fan, and I owe it all to this Nicholas Cage looking, netcode ranting, pun making hype man called Maximillian Dood. It's weird and awesome at the same time.

It's so hard to get back in after being away for a while. All the patches in the past year and a half make it feel much faster paced.
They really trimmed down on cinematic stuff in season 2 to make it so pro matches didn’t time out every time. With the Limit Break and half bar special moves it does seem a little bit faster but not by much.
From someone who’s played season 1 and 3 and quit during season 2, it feels pretty similar to season 1 imo.

It's really sad looking back at this where Max says that their autocombos work where his doesn't. Because if you watch closely, you see Goku Black put two fingers to his forehead for the teleport before getting punched in the face, meaning Max very much did not try to autocombo back.
I love watching this man run DBFZ if only for the frustration he gets or the dubs he takes home.
It’s insane how much max knows about so many fighting games.
I guess that's what happened when you play nothing but fighting games same for people who play racing games, also being with the right crowd of people helps alot.
Myself I know alot about RTS games because I grew up with it but no one takes any notice of strategy games lol.
There's something really satisfying about watching all the in the lab episodes then watching this seeing him remember all the combos he practiced.

That first set infuriates me to no end. Auto combo is literally one of the best options in the game. In other games, it's to give inexperienced players a fighting chance against veterans of the game. Most importantly, it's one option but there are a lot better ones. But in Fighterz, the auto combos along with super dash makes veterans stuggle against it. Especially since this game is 99% offense and 1% defense. This set just reminded me why I bounced off this game years ago.

Yeah it's crazy how they get rewarded for dumb play and if you try to punish it you get punish for it which is stupid because he made a mistake and you get punished for it
Max just isn't that good at this game yet. His oki is weak and makes a lot of bad plays. That Jiren was AWFUL and would probably lose easily to most people that play the game consistently.
Speak for yourself, autocombos isn't even a big deal once you realize that your opponent will spam it all you have to do is block, reflect or superdash. Also there's counter type characters in the game if you want a more counter game like me. Super dash is easy to punish just down heavy or special. N max just isn't good that good at this game,that Jiren kept spamming buttons, he could have easily reflected and punished but he kept pressing buttons too
@@aegisreflector1239 I agree with most of your statements, however, superdash is distinctly hard to punish. Most people would agree it's mostly fair offline, but online superdash is hell to deal with.

Ranked is 100% a cesspool at lower ranks, even higher ranks are still bad. I'm at GoD currently, took until around SSRosè before it felt a little better. Online is just degenerate in DBFZ tho lol
Don’t you love fighting someone and then they kick their routers as soon as you get a combo. Don’t forget if they win a round because of some interesting lag but you about to win the next round, connection lost

Haven't felt like I was fighting good ppl until I got myself to ui sign rank, even ppl at living legend to pride trooper rank felt so brain dead. I only find enjoyment of fighting ppl in god of destruction rank and up to either angel or grand priest (won against a couple angels but all of them was fun as fuck to fight against no matter if I won or lost)
