    The dream of flipping over Spire Sniping with Crosswrap to dig 3 deep... very tempting. Good video!

    • @Im_a_Papaya
      @Im_a_Papaya Год назад

      So the way that those cards interact is that you flip spire as a cost to activate crosswrap, and the crosswrap effect goes on the stack. Then spire sniping triggers and goes on the stack. You then resolve in reverse order, so look at top 2 with spire, then opt 1 afterwards. You can't dig 3 deep, but it is still more control over the top of the deck than any other arrow!

    Love the content. I look forward to seeing the evolution of your list over the new few months. It should be exciting! I was looking at cards more this morning and came up with some of the same conclusions. The chest was the hardest one for me to accept that its just not as good for Azalea. I wanted it to be good, but back to tunic we go.

    I think the Quiver of Rustling leaves is in every design way a Lexi specialization but they couldn't print a specialization token for a hero that's not even in the set. Sadly I agree on the quiver of Abyssal depth, I wish it was good for Oldhim, but I don't think it is quite good enough, I think the Vambrace might be decent for it, but maybe not good enough to lose a card in CC for one single matchup.

    Take away from this video- Azalea now laughs in the face of Titan’s Fist

      Yeah, I don't think an oldhim who plans to fatigue Azalea can afford to swing titans fist for 4. Which should give us more time to set up.

    Definitely a lot of good points for cards I wasn't considering at first, hadn't even considered the extra value from inertia trap at first, main thought was that its actually good against bullander if they e-strik buff or play a wounded bull

    So talking about fletch at ~22:30, would those be the types of cards we should be considering SSGB for? Three vs Four resources is a big difference but the value seems there.

    What do you do to not get dishonoured in the ninja cc matchup? That card is amazing.

    Looking forward to see what your list will look like. Your content is great btw. I'm not very competetiv (I only play about once a month and don't invest too much time playing online or watching streams) and your videos help me at least understand what my own deck is supposed to do. :)

    I'm wondering how with those cards, we'll be able with Azalea to manage the Dromai tough matchup. I just one a CC event last week beating Bravo, Dash and Brute, but Dromai is such a super tough matchup. Barbed undertow will be good, but what do you think of using the Sandscour Greatbow ?

    • @kudaj90
      @kudaj90 Год назад

      I feel like dromai wins with just ashwings. I would love a card that could do like 1 damage to any target on hit or something. Or prevent their gameplan somehow.
      Maybe the "no pitching red cards" would be good? Idk

    • @Im_a_Papaya
      @Im_a_Papaya Год назад

      I'm hoping that the new tools we have will be enough to race dromai a bit better. We had a reasonable gameplan of clearing some early dragons then just killing her - but it was tough to close out the game often times. With a bit of extra disruption and damage, it should make the matchup a bit closer.

    • @jonathanlachance5775
      @jonathanlachance5775 Год назад

      Maybe with all those new aim counter effect when you hit the hero will help slow her down. Will you play Ravenous Rabble and Estrike in the future of Azalea to ping those dragons. I wish they had made some 6 attack arrow. The thing with aim counter is that you need to get it from Azalea ability and it's hard sometimes.

  • @TCGTALKYT
    @TCGTALKYT Год назад

    Also amplify I feel like it decent just isn't quite as good as other arrows. Off one buff its a 1 for 6. Off two +3s its a 1 for 10 right? And in Lexi it's okay. I think Azalea could see a use for it potentially. Just doesn't have an on hit which sucks.

    I am testing on talishar so far, but I am very happy about these cards. I am going to cut eStrike. In a lot of hands it feels clunky, I see the role in previous deck, but now there are shitload of other cards. If I had them in paper I would maybe keep them, but cutting them will save me a lot of money.
    Also, how do you feel about widow maker ability to disable dreacts for the whole chain? This with some snapdragons might be a nice option to push the damage.

    • @Im_a_Papaya
      @Im_a_Papaya Год назад

      Widowmaker only stops reacts for that chain link - not the whole chain.
      I still have liked E strike. Even with the increase in power level of the cards in the deck, it does still smooth out hands of too many arrows as well as too few arrows.
      That said, it's less required than it used to be for sure, and I could see myself testing the list without it down the road.

      @@Im_a_Papaya Ditchig estrike and rabble cuts down our easiest extenders. While I would rather play only ranger and powerful cards, but I worry about consistency. Even with those I had potato hands and turn.
      Anyway, I wanted to thank you a lot for the previous deck list! I keep 55-60% win rate on talishar which is like my best ratio ever since I started playing. Aza is so fun to play and complex and interesting and you made it work.

    Would trench be good to be able to pay for DD without giving up a card ? Seems like it would synergizes well with Skullbone and allows you to be more flexible with an Arsenal.

    • @Im_a_Papaya
      @Im_a_Papaya Год назад

      The thing is that you are still giving up a card. The card that pays for DD just comes from arsenal instead of hand. In the end, you are still trading 1 card for 1 resource - while also losing the ability to use crosswrap on that turn cycle.

    I would've loved if Melting Point was a Blue that buffed 2 instead. I can see me having a hand where I'm stuck with that and I wish I had Dead Eye instead for pitch.

    Tarpit Trap basically says: go again into CnC is worthless. Yet, I am not too sure how often this does actually come up. Maybe it's more interesting in Katsu matchups, whereas we also have that all u got. Think tarpit will not make the cut, at best I'd say it's sideboard material.

  • @chibiraptor
    @chibiraptor Год назад

    Amplifying shot seems like a nonstarter to me. You have to put 2 buffs on it before it outdamages yellow bolt n shot or searing shot or snap shot, and you need 3 buffs to outdamage the red versions. But if you have 1 or 0 buffs, you're losing 1 or 2 damage in comparison.

    • @Im_a_Papaya
      @Im_a_Papaya Год назад

      Yep, I agree. It isn't quite strong enough when playing out your hands as you draw them. The only potential it has is where you plan to set it up with a bunch of buffs to close out a game.
