    What a lot of people don’t realise is that it’s not all about cooking
    It’s good to see the confidence you have in your restaurant Henry
    Believe me many wouldn’t dare share a video like that, well done brother

    What love to see any videos you able to do on restaurant maintenance. I think it is wonderful expressly for people who have an interest in wanting to start a restaurant, and/or have a restaurant and are spending money on needless maintenance.

    It's good that you can choose what chemicals to use. The places I worked didn't allow strong chemicals. Filters like your ones had to be soaked in diluted degreaser over several hours before running through the dishwasher several times. Cleaning behind them needed steel wool and neverending elbow grease. I don't miss that one bit.

    HUNRY JUN.. HOKIS, you must put the filters in a heated tub over night. You come in in the morning and rinse them out. I have one of those heated tubs you can buy of me at a bargain price

    Another way to avoid the smell of the acid working is to use sodium bicarbonate in hot water and soak the filters instead.
    If they can charge 2.5k for a 3 hour clean, I would start a side cleaning business immediately if I were you.

    Professional done is required for us. Every part of the hood, duct and fan and roof .The insurance and fire inspector wont allow your way. But the fire code does say for the restaurant owner to clean filters weekly and scrape behind filters monthly to help avoid a fire until it is professionally cleaned. We use to do it ourselves until we learned the hard way.There was a equipment failure and the duct and fan got on fire.The insurance wont cover it because it wasnt professionally cleaned as my policy said to.
    Dont learn the hard way like we did.

      @HenrysHowTos  Год назад +1

      That’s correct, my insurance requires a report every 12 months from a certified cleaner. All the ones I’ve ever used have done a half ass job which is why I always do it myself as well

      No such thing as certified cleaners!. There are no courses.

    • @tiptoplandsolutions1421
      @tiptoplandsolutions1421 7 месяцев назад

      @jeremykronk7069 There are courses. Some cities require the certification (New York, Boston, and many more)
      There are tons of schools.We found a large companies that travel.They do pretty much everyone.They said beware of local hood cleaners, there tendency is to only clean what the customers see , leaving behind areas that laden grease to harden and buildup more abuse on the system. A fire now has fuel.

    Thanks for the tutorial, but i think it's important to correct on one little detail (5:38): sodium hydroxide and others aren't acids, they are alkalines. You can use them on steel without damaging it, but acids plus steel will produce chemical reactions and will cause damage to it. So don't use acid.
    Anyway, very useful, have a great day!
