@@darkshadow2314 no atleast that I know of the Ginger can Spawn anywhere with a 2% chance which means that planting it would not work conventionality I'm pretty sure you need a mod for that

Slime ranchers 2 should have allowed us to tame them I hope if they make a 3rd the map be 3x bigger with 50 more slimes including that we can get the golden ones

In my first playthrough 20 min in to the glass dessert i found a gilded Ginger and the veery next trip as i was figuring out how to use the magic water i found a 2nd one right next to the home teleporter

My issue was less the ginger and more the gold slimes. They disappear pretty quickly and there’s only a couple vaults where you can guaranteed get them.
When one of my gold slime finally ate the ginger he flew across this hole where the water stream was falling and all of the plorts fell into the water….. 😭
It’s a hidden vault, all of which are unlocked after beating the story. This one is found in the Moss Basin, just keep to the right along the water after the broken bridge and you should find it - if not just keep going.

Yes Slime Rancher 1, Gold Slime will eat anything but Gilded Ginger is found in Glass Desert and only two spawn per day.
If you use a gilded ginger in a Gordo trap you can get a gold Gordo and also pop it for maximum plortage
