We were at Fortnum and Mason high tea last week as part of our London tour. The afternoon turned out horribly. My family and I turned up on the fixed appointment and were shown to our table. We were left alone after that. We waved to staff and they ignored us. After a long moment, we felt unwelcome and thought of leaving. My wife got up from her seat and walked straight to a staff and insisted that they served us like the other customers. Another white family came and sat next to us. They served them tea and sandwiches instantly! Why the different treatment? We are from S E Asia.
Oh that’s such a shame you had that experience. I have been to other places for afternoon tea and felt quite unwelcome and it can ruin the special experience. I do hope the rest of your trip in London/UK did improve?

I went to London in order to witness history during the coronation of King Charles and I also went to F&M . I had the best tea time of my life . I bought a hamper and other stuff I brought back to Austin Texas . F&M is sublime and beautiful.

I think the hampers are great and I like that you can create your own as I always prefer picking items for it that I know my friends and family would enjoy. Hey thanks yes I do love their hampers but I do prefer to pick my own contents for them instead of getting the pre-packed ones. I really enjoy picking things that friends and family would like and enjoy so the contents are a bit more personal to them. I will be doing an unboxing of the items I purchased as I did end up getting a few bits. Thanks for the ongoing support with the channel! 🤗
Lovely video, Jos. Love F&M 😍What clever VM using birds and foliage in the centre of the staircase. It sounded like birds chirping…was that just me or maybe part of the installation?
Thanks the installation had birdsong too but the store was quite noisy so it wasn't easy to pick up on the video. I really liked the huge peacock on the front of the store as well. I also went the The Royal Exchange F&M and doing a video on what I thought as I've never been to that one before. Have a great week! 🤗
