This definitely would've been a number one hit if it was released in the 80s

It does sound alot like Don Henley - "Boys of Summer." I often hear alot of classic 80's tunes while listening to Retro New Wave songs, but I enjoy them just as much.
It seemed to borrow elements of Don Henley's Boys of summer no doubt. This more like summertime blues I think.
Kevin C True, Kristine would have to pay royalties to Henley much like the Beach Boys does with Chuck Berry, but at least it would have been a great song to have nonetheless.

More 80's than the 80's and that's a fucking wonderful thing. The echoes of the sounds of the 80's will never die.
This paints such a mental image, one of the happiest of days, volleyball, cars with the top down, and cold drinks with friends long passed. It has that very small tinge of a wistful sadness of what is now lost, much like Don Henley's "Boys of Summer". I cannot express how thankful I am to have heard this. It's going on my permanent list on my car radio.
+KentuckyFriedNerd Comments like these remind me why this sort of music is my favorite. To see people moved by authentic nostalgia of a more simpler and exciting time. It's no wonder why even younger guys like myself who had missed the source time period can still get a reaction out of music like this.
THAT FEELING.....is why Synthwave is Synthwave....its that wistfull sadness of a much happier, simpler time in either our actual or perceived memory. It's amazing how this genre of music affects us. And THAT is why we all love it so much.

She’s planning on releasing a new album actually! She said so around two years ago on her Instagram account. It’s been a bit, but it’s understandable. It will come eventually :)

I discovered this song last year after getting out of a long relantionship. I was in a very dark place.
My most vivid memory of this song is driving on the highway on my way to the seaside in Croatia. The mountain on my side
the sea on my other, I don't remember much from that trip but I do remember driving to this song with the wind in my hair and leaving all the dark thoughts behind me.

It's crazy that at one time music like this was what was popular and on the radio. Now it's more of a niche for 80s music fans. I miss those days. Most music today is utter crap. Thank the geniuses that came up with the Internet and streaming sites.
Kristine has been a cyber dream for years now, and coming back after a while almost adds nostalgia to that dream. Perfection.

I grew up in the 80's but bk then l was into Jimmy Hendrix fallowing with good hard rock and hair metal but now after been through all that this music hit me amazingly like a missing link..Thank you soon much l absolutely love it and can't stop listening this it brings memories l didn't even remember of... ❤
