It doesn’t matter what the world situation is, whether good or bad, it is always beneficial to spend money wisely and you do that each and every week. I’d trust you with my checkbook any day of the week! Well done, to stock up when prices are low. It is just insurance for rising costs.
Yes Walmart again had canned green beans & corn for 50 cents a can this week. I bought flats last week & again this week. They would not let me have the cardboard again. I guess that must just be a Washington state thing. I like it when you mention which of your children do what chore. Example Anna taking care of rabbits.
Elaine from Muskogee again. Thought I would tell you so you can let folks know, I found eggs at Aldi's for $2.19 a dozen, large ones . I also shop sales at our local Homeland store, no Kroger here. But, I am missing out on the digital deals there. This 78 yo person can't figure out how to do it. I asked at the store and all they told me was have a grandchild how to do it. Well, my grandkids are in California.... Oops.. I have the app on my phone but can't figure out from there. I guess I will ask a younger person at the store the next time I go, to help me out. Old age and technology don't always get along together. Love your family so much. Watching your videos put a warm spot in my heart, almost as much as hearing from my family.❤

I think you do amazing in your budget for your household size. You have managed to hold that budget for a long time while prices have almost doubled on some item, as well as the kids getting bigger . I feel like if you upped it to like $1400 you wouldn't go over much and that's still only $155 per person which is amazing
To have a food (sweet potatoes) that will last an entire year is quite an accomplishment. To think that long ago, people had to do that with all their food, every year.
We have been grating our cheese to avoid the extra “stuff” in shredded cheese. My kiddo loves Mexican cheese blend so we use 32 oz of Colby jack cheese and 10 oz of cojita or Oaxaca cheese to make our own Mexican blend. It’s tasty and melts great. We grate it all together, mix, and freeze it in 2 cup portions.

Hi Janice. I think that I’ve decided to purchase powdered butter instead of ghee for my long term storage. It has a longer shelf life. I’ve recently started saving milk jugs and boiling tap water to save. I don’t pay for water at my apartment so it costs me nothing.

Our store, Price Chopper, has ground chuck 2.99lb in the 10lb roll here too. I already have 20lbs but I'm still gonna get another.

I have an application on my phone that is called Flipp. You can view all the ad papers for grocery stores, Dollar General, clothing stores, hardware stores and more. I don't get any ad papers in the mail anymore either so it's been a great help.

You can freeze the cheese pizza from aldi and the apple cider can also be frozen.
Kroger butter will go on sale again closer to Thanksgiving, always does. I will stock up mostly then, Christmas and Easter. Blessings y'all!

I found white seedless grapes for 99cents/lb. at my Kroger here in Michigan yesterday.
