Good Lord, so many memories: * That 2nd grade Science song is still such a bop! Best part of the whole game imo * I felt so proud of myself completing JumpStart 3rd grade! Even though I was in 5th grade by the time I did. * A friend of mine owned JS 4th grade, and I went over to play it once. Freaked me out so much! * JS 5th grade was my jam! Best one in the series; Kath Soucie did great in it! Shame you encountered the softlock, though. * I remember liking JS 6th grade, but you reminded me of the jank controls, and I now I wonder why I liked it so much that I beat the game at least 3 times! Thanks for the video!
your vids are amazing for your subscriber count! commenting for the algorithm! also the 4th grade game is the earliest childhood fear trauma i can recall😭😭😭
"mom tickled a weird monster in the bathtub" threw me for a LOOP. Also, I would love it if you made a sequel to this covering some of the newer versions of these titles. For example, I grew up with the 1998 version of Kindergarten, not the 1994 one. Would also love to see Sapphire Falls fully covered as well as some of the JumpStart World games (the color meister from the 2nd grade one terrified me as a kid).
Christ, I feel old. I'm already in my early 30's and remember most of these games. I think 2nd Grade was the only one I never played, but I played everything else on this video and happened to own 3rd, 5th and 6th Grades. 3rd was always my favorite of the bunch since the game felt fun and the presentstion was really great. 5th Grade looked pretty cool and, like you, I enjoyed the dialogue in the game as well. 6th Grade was probably my least favorite if the bunch, but I always thought the characters looked cool. They looked like they were ripped right out of the Jonny Quest sequel series Jonny Quest: The Real Adventures.
Great video! Did you play the humongous games growing up like pajama Sam and spy fox? Would love to see you do a retrospective on some of those games too.
Thats ashame that this has shut down. I remember playing the games in preschool through 3rd grade. Im almost 26 now. Wish kids would play these games more often instead of minecraft fortnite and roblox
Had jump start 1st grade growing up always loved the lunch room food tray game, inside the clock game, and the whole flipping the chips/tokens game lol edit: idk if anyone else remembers but i swear the cooking minigame NEVER had a recipe that used the pepper i always wanted to use it lmao
I am sad you didn't go into detail on the alternate version of Jump Start 4th Grade The Mystery of Sapphire Falls. There were many fun educational games and they randomized the villain which added replayability. Honestly it was amazing! ... Still 3rd grade was the best and funniest!
Oh, I never expected that they were still around, I just expected the were gone for a while now, man

Pretty interesting retrospective!

As an Australian I can confirm that we do love Vegemite.
This video is so well made, are there just no Jumpstart Stans??
3rd and 4th grade were phenomenal as a kid.

there were multiple villains? that's actually really cool
