okay I never usually comment on youtube but that little clip you you eating 'pani-puri' at 2:36 felt like a little stab in my heart. pani-puri being one of my favourite foods, I would LOVE to explain to you the right way of eating/appreciating it. 1. Acquire 'puri'- the little round fried ball. 2. Make a little hole at the top with your fingernail but make sure not to crack the whole thing accidentally. 3. Add solids inside the puri- boiled potato, sprouts, boiled lentils- its pretty customisable and there are no rules. The options that you are served WILL change depending on where you are in the country. 4. Add chutney(s)- Ideally one brown chutney (tamarind+jaggery - sour/sweet) and another green chutney (mint+coriander+ spices - spicy/incredible). Again, completely customisable! You like sour? Add more tamarind chutney! Spicy? Green. 5. Add the crunch - Boondi (yellow tiny fried circles) or sev (basically savoury sprinkles). 6. Add the 'pani' (delicious spiced water). You may dip the entire puri with its contents into the container with the pani in order to fill it to the brim of the puri OR add it with a spoon depending on where you are and how civilised you want to seem. 7. Put the whole entire thing in your mouth in one go (like how you'd eat sushi) and enjoy. Do NOT bite into it like a hamburger. 8. Fall to your knees and aggressively pray to the lord for hand crafting the brain of the genius who invented this dish. 💌 Also, if you're confused about something or want to know more literally ask anyone- could be a random person on the street or a Taj employee. Taj employees are famously known for their hospitality, compassion and kindness. Have fun! Love
