@@Tammc09 At 7:55 the bike is well behind the grey car and about to overtake on the wrong side (possibly in the driver's blind spot) when the car starts to move to the right. At 8:10 onwards, the car doesn't leave him enough space to filter, but it's a pretty crowded and narrow carriageway and at 8:24 he signals and moves to the right-hand lane. From 8:30 onwards Presa's filtering too fast in the dark. The car driver starts moving to the left when La Presa is level with the white car - so probably checked his mirror and didn't pick out the fast-approaching biker in a sea of headlamps. Lucky for him he kept his mirror but the biker didn't miss an opportunity to hold up traffic to make his point. You can expect people to use their mirrors but you can't assume they always see you - and they're certainly not all psychic. I find it's best to give cars a bit more space and try not to surprise them. As a biker, you're the one likely to come off worse. Smashing their property after making a spur-of-the-moment (and often wrong) assessment is not the way.

0:57 someone nudged me like that once, no visible damage. a few miles later my wheel spacer shattered, the sprocket carrier moved outwards, the sprocket nuts milled a groove in the swing-arm, and then the back wheel locked up. I was doing about 120mph when that all went wrong, could easily have wrecked. Always get it checked, don't just assume it's ok.

@@RGBeanie oh it didn't help, but even at 70 having a rear wheel lock up can be fatal, bike needed checked. The thing is, the initial bump felt like nothing, the car which hit me was almost stopped, just hit my tire and knocked me forwards about a foot, but was still enough to do dangerous damage.

Are you saying vehicles need to stop and yield the right of way for every vehicle that needs to pull out? He saw the car, when the car pulled out he hit the brakes. Swerving into the other lane would have been far more dangerous and also would have put the rider at fault in an accident. The rider had no chance to check the other lane if it was clear to attempt such a maneuver. The car was at fault and the riders actions were suitable for that situation.

"on most state land" ... There are quite a few trails in CT that allow ORV's ... you have no idea what trail he was on, you are just making the assumption ... He could have very well been on a trail that allowed dirtbikes, and the woman was wrong, could very well be vice versa ... but the amount of people I have had to argue what "ORV allowed" out in the boonies always leads me to ask what trail the video was recorded on.

She walked by the sign that clearly no only shows a dirtbike but also an ATV...LOL however she wanted to stand there and argue with me. I even told her what ranger to talk to and feel free to call them. I wonder on her way back if she saw the sign and felt like an idiot or called the ranger and they were like "where was this" "um sorry but he can be there". I won't act like I don't find hidden trails or the one time ended up on a Mtn Biking trail by accident, stuff happens no reason for anyone to get mad and upset.

@3:10 - I'm from that area too and that off-ramp is ridiculous! It goes from 2 lanes to 6 and people think they just get to choose which one to go in. And it's ALWAYS that left lane merging over because they weren't paying attention to the signs to realize they should be in the right lane to make a right turn way before the curve! Happens daily, whether you're riding or driving. They really need to put in some divider midway through the bend
