This tribute group captures the pure essence of The Beatles in their early years. I'm astounded at how beautiful they sound. I could listen to them for hours on end.
I once saw 1964 The Tribute in concert a few years back. They are the most accurate re-creation of the early (pre-"Sgt. Pepper ") Beatles I've ever heard.
These lads have been around since the early 80s. I saw them twice and they were absolutely top notch! They've had a number of lineup changes. Sadly, Gary Grimes (Paul) shown in this performance, passed away in 2010. Mark Benson (John) is the only original.
It’s like the Porsche factory race team… Honestly creepy how fast the can tear down a motor n replace it mid race… crazy things when all you do is practice practice practice your job…
"Do You Want to Know a Secret" reached no. 2 in 1964 in the U.S. on the Billboard charts. In 1981 the song was part of a medley on the Stars on 45 tribute to John Lennon single 45 which went no. 1 on the Billboard chart in the U.S. It was also on the Beatles first British EP in 1963 off of their first album, Please Please Me. It was one of Bob Dylan's favorite Beatles songs.
You'll never know how much I really love you. You'll never know how much I really care. Listen, Do you want to know a secret, Do you promise not to tell, whoa oh, oh.
It’s so funny that this, of all tributes, was in my recommended videos after watching a different beatles cover bc that’s my dad lmao it makes me happy seeing all the positive comments

Really, I just knew about these guys, and as a beatle hardcore fan, daughter of beatles hardcore fans, I am amazed at these covers. It's good to see them, lol. Thanks for sharing!
Well they play well, but looks wise and body language was off. and-they were standing in the wrong places. John was always on the right, from the audience view point with george in middle and Paul to audience left. The Fab Four has it down pat
Closer, Let me whisper in your ear, Say the words you long to hear, I'm in love with you. I've known the secret for a week or two, Nobody knows, just we two.
@murraymae Actually, from what I have read, they actually played the song live in those positions. (As opposed to their usual places.) What really bugs me is their age...
Not Applicable I mean they’re younger than the actual Beatles, yeah, but they are playing them from their earliest era where George would’ve been like 19. The stage makeup helps but there’s only so much you can do to erase forty five years.
I am surprised. You think George wrote this because he sings it? You are absolutely wrong, my friend. Read Macdonald´s and all the other´s books. Lennon even composed I´m Happy Just to Dance with You, from 194, which George sings. But later on George only sang songs he had written himself, and they are really good.
Are you a Beatles fan and don´t know it´s a Lennon komposition. Read all the books about The Beatles! (poor Lennon, after Yesterday, for many years, McCartney got the credit of Lennon´s compositions, and nowadays many people think that Harrison wrote this Lennon composition, and Lennon´s I´m Happy Just To Dance With You)
@@ciaramccluskey6230 Sorry but this is a John Lennon composition sung by George Harrison. Although the credits read Lennon/McCartney because of their songwriting agreement.
Listen, Do you want to know a secret, Do you promise not to tell, whoa oh, oh. Closer, Let me whisper in your ear, Say the words you long to hear, I'm in love with you.
uh, no. It's "1964...The Tribute" like it says on the drums. And on the title of the video. They are a tribute band. I guess they made a crappy black and white video to really take us back to the 60s.

R.I.P. George and John. Your music will live on forever.
He even has George's speaking voice which I've always liked,
The most beautiful song I've ever heard..wherever you are mom..you loved these geniuses.
You^ll never know how much I REALLY MISS YOU... (John Lennon, George Harrison...gone; and Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr...with us)

I was about 6-7 when they first came out Always sorry I never saw them perform live.
It's honestly creepy how much he and everyone sound exactly like them
Agreed
The Fab Four do a much better job
Actually they did fine job, dont bother with all these so called experts, i play guitar over 50 yrs and im no expert but they were 👍
@Dyslexic Batnam and somehow you still got likes on the comment lol

My drunk ass thought this was real until the last ten seconds. Cheers beauties!
This comment made me laugh out loud!
@@loischrietzberg9049 I totally agree with you! No one can ever duplicate the original "Beatles "!

I( have that Stars on 45 single! Then again, I have Tiny Tim's Tiptoe Through the Tulips 45 too. :-(
Stars on 45 is the song that got me listening to the Beatles music. It's still a great song.
Just a reminder....George harrison sings the original one, not John!!!!!
Eu descobri isso agora ❤
ジョージの歌声優しくソフトですね。ロマンチックな気分になります。
ジョンとポールのコーラスもこの曲を盛り上げてますね。

He sounds exactly like John. Even down to the exact amount of raspiness
that's supposed to be george
Bro thought it was John💀
It’s George…
Brilliant!
I was 7 years old when this keep out 😮 😮
wow great cover
I was thinking I don't hear all the screaming girls, that's weird, the second viewing I realized it's not The Beatles
Very good
Love it
Nice sound George Harrison!
Well they play well, but looks wise and body language was off. and-they were standing in the wrong places. John was always on the right, from the audience view point with george in middle and Paul to audience left. The Fab Four has it down pat
They changed places at the end of the video
usually is more accurate than saying always. I remember John being in the middle for That Boy, for example.
Shut up
Hey @murraymae ... John IS on the right! And the only reason George is on the left is because he's singing lead on this song! Make sense now? :)
@@niyaboyd3805 He's just saying small things
I love it! 😁😍
This song tells me that I'm going to be very quiet
NO ONE ,can ever to come close to duplicating George and the Beatles for this song!
Beautiful 😍😍
Awesome!
It's too bad the camera man forgot his glasses... Lol

Steven brown wolf dumbass those aren't the Beatles
Very good as George.
Ladies and Gentlemen The Beatles ❤
Good Job !!!
Still trying to get over that RSM logo!!! Now THATS scary! Couldnt even concentrate on the performance after that mess!!
I think this was done in black-and-white to make it look like it could have come from a circa 1964 Beatles TV appearance
@murraymae Actually, from what I have read, they actually played the song live in those positions. (As opposed to their usual places.)

This is probably a small thing but did Lennon play these notes open. I feel like they always barred those chords

Nooooooooo. Just a tribute band.
@@AvenueH they are awesome
Overall Good, but it was a 1/2 step lower than the Beatles and the falsetto by the George character was really weak. Could barely hear it.
