Hi, Vietnamese here, I can still use Roblox, the version I dowloaded was before the VNG version existed, the normal one exists and is seperate from the VNG one, it's great seeing our country mentioned by people I watch.

I really hate our Vietnamese version of Roblox-VNG because it has rules that if your Roblox account is logged into Vietnamese Roblox-VNG, you will lose all data from when you logged in and There are also other unreasonable rules, Roblox-VNG will update those rules soon

Hi, a Vietnamese dude here, basically you need a distributor to distribute ur game in Vietnam or else u wont allow to play the game in Vietnam, the reason for that law is as far as ik cuz most of foreign company when they make game and distribute it to Vietnam, they dont pay taxes or smth so that why that law exist. Also Vietnamese are very strict about games and they have a social stigma about it (they consider video games is as bad as weed wth). Also, we have the right to choose between the og roblox or the Vng version btw. A lot of people also said that Vng is a very greedy company and they promote gambling to children, i dont play any of their game so idk is that true or not.

I'm a Vietnamese too and looking from their other games I see that they use eye catching photos to trick kids to play and possibly spending money, plus gambling is very common in almost every Vietnam game, heck they even promote gambling to kids in Ads. So in short, they are money hungry.
What VNG recently done:
1. Updates Play together
2. Done the same thing with roblox
As a Vietnamese, I really hate our Vietnamese version and there the most stupidest rules ever, they lock your account in the VNG version that mean you can't play the global anymore

The reason why VNG released this Roblox version is because in Vietnam we have been getting some connection errors since March, such as generate images failing or losing connection, and VNG is like an intermediary game distributor. But many people hate VNG because it increases the in-game purchase price and creates new game rules. You can see in this VNG Roblox that you have to be more than 12 years old to play this game and need to have a have a verified citizen identification card when creating a new account, the most terrible is when you log in to VNG with your current account you won’t be able to log in back to the global Roblox.
Um no its actually more deeper than that. Sure, its a valid reason although not the main reason, the reason is recently another sort of platform for devs to create their game which is call Steam recently also got blocked (person/corporation block the website is unknown) on pc, people speculate it have to do with steam game don’t require a license to gain access to vietnam platform unlike most other vietnamese developers need approve their game into app store/google play
Overall it mean the unfairness when publish game into vietnam store between vietnamese devs and roblox/steam devs
Edit: 2nd reason is roblox and steam doesnt pay taxes to vietnam since they don’t have any distributor at Vietnam

Another Vietnamese person here, I can still already use the normal roblox version and this is the first time I have ever heard of VNG Game’s Roblox App, bro like wth if roblox dares to redirect my account to that app and force me to download it I swear.

I updated the app and nothing really changed. You can update and use the app normally 😊
Registering and login accounts in this version is painful cuz it needs citizen identify card (you can just put random letters on it and it will let that slide) and also the bundle looks horrible fr

being Vietnamese the partnership between Roblox and VNG has been circulating around on Facebook for some time
welp at least this is mobile only and ill still be able to play via PC
edit: VNG is literally everywhere (basically the Apple/Google/Microsoft of Vietnam), in Zalo (the equivalent of WhatsApp) and multiple popular games

The account deletion is by law in alot of countries and they just delete "non useful" information so it's nothing to worry as long as you have progress in any game or own any items

I like how they restrict players under 12 years old, I actually saw a lot of under 12 years old Vietnamese players and they were kinda annoying, so yea, I'm quite supportive of this
But I'm still worried about their management because I've played a lot of Vietnamese games that ask me to enter an ID number to log in, but actually you just need to enter any random number

Yeah, VNG in our country is already popular because all the drama they did in the past, when VNG bought the game, they relased the beta version, it always good, but when they finnaly release it, yeah they just add in a bunch of rules. and became bad ( if my grammar bad, im sorry), also roblox is a game for kid too ? why it is 12+ only, but in our country we need to be 16 years old to get a ID, but the games requires a ID to login or buy robux.?

As a vietnamese i think the vng roblox app is suck like the only thing that it might be useful is purchasing premium, but other than that it mostly negative. I wasted 50 dollars worth of gift card credit only for roblox to only allow me to renew my subscription using the app that currently only on android and can locked my account from log into the global version, not to mention the 6 months inactivity will meant certain doom for my roblox account. I think it suck that now us vietnamese are stuck with a limited version of roblox that could potentially met the same fate as loubou. At least we can still download the normal version but can’t purchase anything. (There also the forced id verification in order to log in or sign up and 12+ user only which all sucks as now im forcing to choose between giving all of my information to roblox and vng, locked my account and cannot let my account inactive for more then half a year just for some robux and premium or ditch the app and use the global roblox normally but can’t buy a premium subscription or ability to robux leaving my remaining credits unused unless contacting supports to change my region or via donates)
For the id part , you can just write gibberish in that , i played a lot of vng game and it requires an id but mostly i could just write gibberish and still got it .
i first downloaded it, and i saw the same thing expect for that 12+ thing in the login screen, which is EVERYWHERE in vnggames's apps.
this kinda worries me bc in the near future vng might force the update on my roblox client soon since im verified with my vietnamese citizen id

This make no sense the vietnamese playerbase has been using the regular roblox mobile app with no problem for years now. If i could i would try my best to not having use the vng version

VNG exists because apparently you need a Vietnamese government approved distributor for your foreign service to be in the country.

Sadly i am also a Vietnamese here, i just try to see if i can login to global and no but still can play if i login before. Now i am f up because roblox global just change language to Vietnamese and logout all accounts of mine(Shouldn't have tried to login). I hope i still can live with roblox on laptop/pc for long.

As a 22 yrs old Vietnamese playing roblox since 2016, VNG did the same thing with Riot games (League of legends and Valorant) with the VNG - Riot client cuz of legal reason and honestly there isn't anything wrong about it. But for Roblox though, imagine quitting roblox then come back after 6 months just to know that your 10 years Roblox account got deleted is outrageous.
Plus they didn't mention anything about the Roblox PC version and im a pc gamer so you can see where's the problem here.
If it isn't for those 2 reason then sure, i'll happily log in my 2016 main Roblox account to it but for now, imma stay internationally.

Hello, another Vietnamese here, Roblox VNG recently been removed from the Play Store, they could just let Roblox runs globaly like it was before. We already know that Roblox VNG users could connect with the global server, but like you can just play global Roblox instead of Roblox VNG. And again, it's great seeing our country got mentioned, not for the good though.

So basically there is a law in Vietnam that game outside of Vietnamese have to pay taxes for every transactions
I think the reason for that is they dont want the money to just disappear and ruin the economy, Its not really meant for profit (I dont think this is true but thats what i know, i dont know if its correct or not)

VNG does not change anything about the gameplay, the reason most Vietnamese hate this corporation is they increase the prices of in-game items and create some new rules
Also the reason they make Roblox-VNG is in march or april there was a problem with roblox that make Vietnamese player cant connect to roblox website or if you can play you got a very shitty connection i think its fixed now for most player

small fact thats out of topic: vng can describe as big games developers. usually they make those game with gacha features and promote gambling to children within ads. they also have gift codes stuff like "VIP666" or "VIP777" for "free vip", "1923912381273273492349 gacha rolls" and free "diamonds". i still remember that one "you will also recieve free [insert popular character name] SSR!!!!"

Vietnamese here, the reason VNG created this version is becuz our players cannot connect to global Roblox for some reason, even tho current roblox status stated rhat everything is operational. We can't even join in games or even accessing the website is difficult for us. That's just my opinion tho

The Roblox VNG is just the version that have license in Viet Nam, there's nothing different, there's no missing game, and the reason it's 12+ is because VNG (aka Viet Nam Games, not a government game production) is the most popular game production in Viet Nam and their games is only 12 + or 18+, so yeah there's nothing change much at all I'm a Vietnamese and I can confirm that

Vietnam doesn't have any weird strict law for the original roblox app, (I can still access the original roblox as a vietnamese) but it's kinda strange for roblox to release the Vietnamese version after having a local isp issue for Vietnam or smth
After doing some research, it doesn't seem that roblox actually uploaded the Vietnam version of roblox, it is actually made by a company making Vietnam versions of games (I don't think the Vietnamese version of roblox is existing anymore.)

Yo, Vietnamese person here, Yes we can still use the global version of roblox and the Vietnamese version too but if we log knto our account on the Vietnamese version, we wont be able to log in onto the global version anymore like its locked only Vietnamese version of roblox can log into it but if we don't want to lose our account we can simply make a new one... I think it's right because normal Roblox is played a lot by many children under 12 years old, but this version requires citizen identification because you have to be over 12 years old and have a parent guardian to play.

Ok so the Vietnamese version is pretty good cause its fix the lag problem in our country. But that version is going super crazy cause about law in Vietnamese you need to 12+ to play and need id, plus you need to be 14+ to have id? Vietnamese kid is going so crazy right now, they curse the game, rate 1 star for game,... (now its unabled to play right now cause it is changed the rule or the system idk). Btw its is still good and the data is doesnt loss actually, and if you wanna play the original version just use vpn. (Sorry for my bad english)
