The red fin pickerel was a pain, i could not find it at the spot you were at however i found on by the lily pads by the walleye spot.
Bluntnose minnow is the real monster good lord
IMPORTANT: If you snap off on the pikeslasher, DON'T put new tackle on and keep fishing. There's something in the game that will not allow you to catch it. I spent 18 days fishing from 9-10pm straight and didn't catch the pikeslasher. I left emerald lake and went right back to it, and sure enough, I caught it the first night. Don't make the same mistake I did.

It works perfectly in rainy days too. Between 07:00-09:00 am and about 9-11 degrees. In rainy days ONLY in the morning. Good luck!!!

I hooked it on a rod i spent like 2k on, and an 8k reel and fought it for like 2, 3 mins then it broke off from stupid low tenison
I've been fishing in that spot for hours and when the bait finally went flying my heart almost stopped lmao
Broke a reel on my first hookup (ran outta line)
So I hopped into the kayak, left the anchor up and bobbered it. Fish towed me for a bit, nice and easy landing.

is it possible to catch the monster twice or more?
Ive been tryna do the mission with a match rod. Arent we suppose to use a telescopic or a match rod?? Feeders are good to use for this??
Well nvm. I guess if i have match rod with bait on it and catch it with a feeder it should work as well since it tells me to equip bait to certain rod. Also first cast with feeder instant bite and hook but bastard came off cus low tension. Thank you for your reviews they help alot
Yeah as long as you equip some bait to a float rod then you can just go use another rod. I generally did that so I could use my bottom rods.
it's been about 1 day in real life and no luck, I've used #2, #6, and #8 hooks and even got a boat to go out there and he only nibbles, any suggestions?
I gave up after 5 in game days casting to the exact same spot and the area in general, day and night, cba to try again
monsters are like that either right away or it's a struggle.
On my second night, i was able to catch two of them...one off a feeder and the other off a float, just a minute or so apart, thanks for the help!

Can you only catch it during an event or at anytime I've been trying for so long but everything I read says yes and no so I'm confused
Caught this day 3 on my second attempt. I snapped the leader the first attempt but I still caught it on the same day casting to the spot by the lily pads

How can get the bait again if we used all already?
Yes just redo the first part of the mission and you will get it again.
Can you catch a monster fish with a feeder rod and still complete the mission? Because in the description it says Match or Telescopic Rod
So what I did was just equip the bait to a float rod then used my other rods to actually catch it!
In theory you could put the bait on a extra small telescopic or match rod then use a bottom rod to actually catch the fish it never states to catch it with the match or telescopic rod
you need to not be reeling in line when a fish is maxing your drag, let it run and the reel when it stops. if you reel while it is pulling line it will be able to pull more line than if you weren't
This was my first monster fish and it took like 10 mins... Also when next Halloween event comes can i use the bait that i have left to catch more of Pikeslasher because i dont think so i can catch more than 1 of each monster fish now.
I just delete my baits but yeah you can only catch em once
What level do u unlock the pikeslasher missions because I have the sport bottom pack to bring in the pikeslasher but I can’t see the pile missions. I’m level 13

Can you catch it with a bottom rod?
Yes but you need the bait to also be on a match rod to progress the mission, then just actually use the bottom rod!

yes you can always redo the first set of missions for the monsters until you catch that monster

i made the mistake of thinking i can land it with 10lbs test 4.4kg line in other words it did not go well lol spooled me out right away will try again with 20 lbs test

I had two bottom rods with the same setup you have here, in the water for 2 entire in game days and nights, one sunny and one cloudy and not a single nibble. :(

Delete the rest of the line and redo the mission
I didnt know how big the fish were when i caught it so i used the 30kg net. And because the max single fish weight was 7 kg i couldnt keep the fish. I should have watched this video! Anyways, I got a lot of xp!

Hello friend, you are cool, listen, but once you catch the monster, if you try again the same spot is the same bait, you can take it back, I'm talking about all monsters in general.

Just caught mine...did mine off the shoreline...spent 2 hrs on the dock then said fck it what can it hurt to try from the shoreline...within 2 mins the fish hit and got my mission done

If you get lucky sometimes you get two on at the same time, then you can bring them both in. Once the mission is complete tho no you can't
