My ex-husband and I served faithfully in the production department at North Point in Alpharetta and our marriage was an absolutely complete fraud and mess. He treated me so badly that the production manager actually asked us not to be scheduled together because he was exhibiting his bad behavior in front of others. He was never publicly shamed, we were part of church groups and community groups and I was so embarrassed. I divorced him in 2017 and ended up walking away from the church because I felt like no one cared about me and all they cared about was the marriage God was no longer fighting for. I’m glad that I can now separate my marriage from my spiritual walk and once again, listen again. Today is the first day I’ve been able to make it through an entire sermon and I also signed up for a small group. I want and need to be connected once again.
