Almost never post on youtube videos but I've gotta give credit where credit is due. Never seen someone so driven. Love your attitude and commitment. Takes a lot of grit to do whatever it takes to wrap your tag around those antlers. Whether it's sleeping in the truck, walking miles deep, or eating peanut butter sandwiches for a week, you consistently do whatever it takes to make it happen. Keep up the good work..... it's a pleasure to watch someone thats so good at what they do..... you're an absolute killer.

Guys the state question is avoided because he has a large following, people will flock to wherever he has success. And its not terribly hard to figure the piece of public once you know the state. Half of it is out of respect for the locals as well. I wouldnt put it either if I was him... great stuff, awesome buck!

A well earned trophy! It shows that hard work and perseverance pays off.
To the guys giving hard time for not naming the state. Pick any deer state, get off of RUclips and on any mapping program, find good looking habitat, make trip prehunt to scout, then go sit in tree for a week. If you did a good job on all the above you have a chance of harvesting a deer.
Why should someone make it easy for you?
I don’t blame you for not telling the state. The locals and other hunters that hunt the area appreciate it.

I absolutely loved this video. As someone who grew up in SW PA I've always had dreams of hunting west of home. Started to hunt Ohio in the late 90's. Had lots of luck early on then started raising a family and things got busy and put hunting on the back burner. Hunted 1-3 days a year from 2000-2019. I'm now 40 years old and looking to chase my dreams now that my kids are on their way. You have inspired me to do something I've been thinking about for years. Appreciate everything you stand for in this video. Best of luck in the future!!! I'm definitely subscribing and hope to meet you out on the road someday!!!!

@@RB-gu4bp The West as a whole has this "poor me" attitude. The real influx of people has been into the Midwest to hunt, but you rarely hear us complaining.
The fact western states would rather take the large sums of money from out of state hunters rather than sell cheap resident licenses is a battle you need to take up with your respective state. The hunting culture to "travel to hunt" is definitely on the uptick. But, to take the stance that it ruins hunting in an area is ignorant at best. Add in the revenue brought into the state by someone coming from out of state to hunt, it sounds like a win, win.

I did my first out of state hunt this year in Illinois on a permission farm. I’m from Maryland so Illinois was a big jump and I got lucky with the farm through a few connections but I would’ve done public if I didn’t have the permission farm. I was able to fill my buck tag and my doe tag on our 6 day hunt. Shot a mature 7 that had busted half his rack off on the left side. Saw some bigger ones but finally got the buck on the second to last day, had to miss an opportunity at a much bigger buck due to trying to film the hunt

Congratulations on a fine buck. You are right about each new state representing an adventure. You are something of a modern-day frontiersman. Great job

You’ve got me really intrigued to try different states. How do you start? I don’t want to drive out to a state and not be able to find the public land easy or good terrain. Maybe you could make a video explaining what to look for before you head to another state?

I’d love to be in a position to travel and buy out of state tags but right now I’m lucky to hunt 10 days of Alabama’s deer season due to running all over west Alabama north west Florida and the north part of the Mississippi delta for work that doesn’t pay much more the just the bills

Never post on here at all. Love your channel and other than video, hunt very similar. My favorite moon by far is the 3-6 days ahead of the full moon. Have killed over 50% of the bucks I kill on that phase. Second favorite would be 3-6 after the full moon.

I don't bother with the moon. I focus on the time of year my friend. If your not in the woods from November 1st to the 15th and the first week on December you are hating it.

@@doityourselfhunter9031 that’s so true. my family is trophy hunters and to some extent I am to. But when I have a bow in hand it’s about the story and I would be just as satisfied with a 40 60 inch Deer as I would 140+ Any deer bigger than a yearling you kill is an accomplishment, especially on public we travel to Missouri and Georgia every year home state Alabama we hunt public there currently purchased my first climber from Xop hopefully it all works out. I have plans in the works for Kentucky this year. And maybe a Tennessee. As well. But if the good Lord works with me it will happen. He does a lot to put. I would like to travel to new challenge brother
