    I am a fan of suillus. They do take a bit more work to make shine, culinarily, but they are common enough and tasty enough to make it worth the effort. Having a dryer and the ability to pickle them both opens up a lot more options in how to use them.

      Yes, they are definitely worth the effort, & harvest them whenever I see them lol. I like the idea of pickling them too.

      Cool movie.
      The Pine Barrens here in New Jersey have a plethora of Suillus mushrooms.
      The cooler temps, and this storm next week will be inspiring the first flush of them. I am very excited to witness this event again.
      Finally, I am confident enough in my identification skills to harvest some to share with friends and family.
      This knowledge is due, in part, to fine people like yourself sharing what you know.
