Polymer Clay Mokume Gane: Jellyroll Mokume Gane Tutorial
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 фев 2025
- This is an interesting technique I happened to find on Pinterest. It can bring a whole new look to the technique mokume gane. Instead of using the usual layered technique, this time we'll use a jellyroll as the base of the mokume gane. It's yet another wonderful way to work with Polymer clay.
(I'm not sure who came up with this technique so if you know, please inform me so I can give credit where it's due.)

See you in the next video.
Sincerely Samantha Burroughs.
I enjoyed this tutorial, 80 years young and now I have found a new hobby thanks to you Samantha.
I'm 69 and have been working in this medium for 13 years. I'm not a professional and I don't have an art degree. Polymer clay has literally saved my sanity! I can get lost in it. So glad you're enjoying it too!
I accidentally found your tutorials...now I can't stop watching them. You have an easy to understand style that works for me! Thanks so much for the tutorials.
You truly have a gift for explaining things so well. Your videos are wonderful!
I have watched this tutorial a number of times through the years and actually tried it out today. I'm so pleased with the results! Thanks for sharing Samantha!😊❤
Absolutely stunning technique. You are a wonderful teacher Samantha, very detailed and very calming as well. Thankyou!
That is soooo cooool! Love the pattern and how it changes! Beautiful!
Hello Samantha :) I am a paper crafter at heart but I am so glad I checked out this video. The thumbnail of this color Mokume Gane really caught my eye. I think this particular Mokume Gane and the pebble stamp effect is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and I can't wait to try it out. In addition, your style of teaching is so thorough and patient, it's a real pleasure to watch. Thank you so much for the work you do :)
You are SUCH a wonderful teacher and artist, Jessica! So calm, creative, organized, inspiring ... wowwww! Thanks so much for sharing your process with us. The results are *gorgeous*, and it's great that you explain how even slight changes can significantly affect the end results. I especially love the blue and white piece...very wintery (we're in the midst of a blizzard here in northeastern U.S. now!).
I love seeing the process. And the comparison of the ecru in the center of the jelly roll versus the blue in the center. Just lovely! ❤
Awesome, I’m sooo addicted to Utube, polymer clay and your tutorials, thanks for showing what you made too❤️
Great job, those are so beautiful!!! Thank you.
The first one looked like beautiful roses. I really like this technique. Thank you for the inspiration. :)
I love watching your videos. You explain everything as you go. It's very easy to understand
Thankyou for being such a good teacher and making it seem not so difficult!!!
So enjoyed this tutorial. You have a great teaching style. Very calming.
Thank you so much for bringing this fascinating technique to Polymer Clay! I've used it twice now. I will go post pictures on your Pinterest pin.
Love your work and thank you for sharing!!
Samantha you are the best! I wish I could push the "like" button more than once. Thank you!
Your tutorials are so good, Samantha. I would love to see an example linked in the description box or as a final pic of what you went on to make with this beautiful MG. Really enjoying your channel, and hope to become a Patreon when I'm back in work again. 🙏🏼
Samantha! These are gorgeous! Thank you for teaching us how to do this! I have to try this now.
Recently discovered you. Your tutorials are amazing 😍😍😍
I really like the one that looks like roses. I will have to try that one with red, white and black. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. ❤️😁
I love all your videos, they are so well organized and simple to follow. Thank you so much.
Love those . . You did an awesome job of them all...just gorgeous . ...thanks for sharing . .
That was fabulous Samantha..
Awesome! Thank you!
bonjour jess, j 'adore tes tutoriels, merci beaucoup
Beautiful, I loved the blue one, thank you Samantha
It's interesting that you ball up the scrap/ shaved pieces bc I usually roll them onto black clay and make another piece out of them.
I Iove your teaching style & LOVE that you don’t have music playing in video.
LOVE THE TUTORIAL. After you skim the Mokume Game, what is next, what can you do with it/
Love your tutorials!
Do you bake this too? What uses have you found for it? Excellent tutorials.
Both versions are wonderful!
Wow. Jessama this is beautiful. I’m new here, but this has definitely given me some inspiration for my future polymer clay videos. I make somewhat different content, but I would like to see how this would looks if used as, for example, clothing on one of my little clay sculptures. Thank for this - I’ll be checking back in :)
Absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing
J'adore !!!! Bravo, c'est superbe !!! Merci beaucoup pour le partage !!!
that was fun, I did better with the cutters than the texture sheet. I think the clay stack was too thin. I am still having a challenge with skinner blends. I can follow the tutorial and still not get it right. I will try and try. It was a good tutorial.
Can you tell us what colors of clay you used on this one?
Premo ecru, turquoise and black.
How much of each pack of turquoise and ecru did you use? Love it and I’m ready to do it.
Do you always use black as your back color, and why?
I tend to use it most of the time. I do this mostly because it's the easiest to use as it doesn't show up dirt.
Thank YOU!😊
😱 Qué bonito!!!
Love this tutorial!
Bellissima complimenti e grazie per la condivisione Buon Natale
Can you use a wire cheese cutter to do the shaving?
wonderful amazing
How do you store the veneers.
beautiful
Magic!
I enjoy watching your tutorials! I have an idea for you, have a while layer to put the pieces you cut off. Then we can see how the flip side will look. Hope you like my idea.
Hi Samantha! This is Ruthie Kiley again. Your videos are so wonderful they make me so happy! They truly bring my heart joy! I love your pics of the “ long, tooth-like beads on the necklace. I would luv to buy a tutorial video showing how to make those glorious beads! Do you have one to buy; and if you do, what is it titled? Thank you for being “ You”! 😉❤️
Thank you. :D I haven't got a tutorial for that necklace yet, but it is coming up in the next few months. :D
Jessama you sound like a 10 years old girl, but good for you, you are doing a great job.
I was about 18 when I did this video. :D
Jessama Tutorials you sound so cute sweetie not meaning no disrespect
How to tell which I like the best
That is so great
Hi! did you use water on the texture sheet?
Yes.
Adorável!😍
where can I find a large roller like yours?
I bought it off of etsy. Not sure what shop.
Wonderful!!!! ❤️
Superbe , merci et bravo !!!!!
I like the second one more
The second technique is magic. Just...how?
If you used gold clay instead of yellow, the second mokume gane would appear similar to a Klimt painting.
cool:-)
No entiendo inglés, pero resultado perfecto
Did you quit you tube?
