Could this ship have possible been turned into an aircraft carrier if you removed the components involving containing and loading/offloading of resources, and put in a runway and freight elevators for storage and movement of aircraft? What about putting battleship main guns on it? How many troops could have been permanently stationed on it? Just wondering thanks to whoever replies.
It would have been too heavy and slow to be an effective warship/troop carrier, as armour and weapons would have made it slower than its already slow, 16.5 kts. In conclusion, it was too slow and would be a sitting duck for any plane or missile that went to destroy it.

You need lot more than just size to serve as a navy vessel however it could serve has a floating airport for small aircrafts

Yes, when you add loads to a floating vessel it increases the draft. Overload it and you'll sink it.
