That worked like a charm. I actually hit the center pump and the pump started working. It’s making a whining noise so I will replace it when I get back from vacation but this works so well. It will get me by till I can work on it cuz right now I am in the middle of nowhere Colorado. Thanks!!
Mechanic 101 in any Technical Colleges. To fix a problem, first hit it with a hammer. Second, hit it harder. And here's your certificate ,🤣🤣. Jokes aside, your vids are a must watch.
On these Aquahots, do they use engine coolant when the engine is running? Do they use electricity when you are plugged into shore power? Are they just Diesel all the time?
All the above lol. Uses electricity to about 6500 watts, uses diesel to take it up to 208 degrees and uses the engine coolant while driving down the road. Pretty awesome.
Is this as permanent a repair as would be replacing the check valves? Thanks James. Another great video. You knew what the problem was and how to fix it.
Hi my name is Mike I just watched this video that you just did I have an aqua hot with a small radiator cap it was replaced 3 years ago the whole unit for a rebuilt but recently I've lost the electric side of my hot water heater and I was hoping in this video that you just did. That you would show removing the heating element and I'm assuming it was down in that electric box on the bottom left hand corner of the unit is that correct I still have diesel heat for my hot water that works fine Even though it's blowing a little bit of blue smoke. I haven't used it that much cuz I live here in Florida in my 40 ft beaver coach. If you could help me with a part number for this element for the heater hot water I'd appreciate it Mike Shelton really enjoyed your video
Nice video. If you feel heat at the check valve and beyond and still have minimal heat at some zones. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe flushing the system.
Yes I've got the same problem. I've hit it with the hammer. Check valve is getting heated up but not as hot as the other & same with flow hose. Still blowing cold in zone 3 bedroom.
My beaver has a hinged top and side to remove, but the geniuses have coolant bottle above it. Broke the spot welds gonna nutsert it so two extra bolts and it'll come apart. Now to figure out why I have no heat on electric
They are the new pumps. Knocks down my theory. The ol technical tap. Wild. I got a bad fan in the toilet dungeon. I can't believe they put all that crap in front of it. Mines sideways and I can work on it, on my side up in the basement.
I'm having a problem with low hot water pressure, the cold water pressure is great, but when you turn it to hot water, the pressure just turns to a dribble
Looks like a horizontal check valve in vertical , unless its a spring lift check valve it is the wrong valve , can’t tell without seeing the part number .
I have the 100 series in my 2000 Dynasty. It looks better made, all brass pumps and I leave my sheet metal cover off because it was such a bitch to get off as you noticed. LOL I will remember this if it happens to me. Also mine is in the middle of the coach. (center of the bay left to right) at least this one was on the outside of the bay.
The military send a team to go and find a retired engineer to bring them to start a ship up The retired engineer charges them $100,000 The military says $100,000 to hit it with the hammer the engineer says it's $1,000 to hit it with the hammer and $99, 000 to know where to hit it with the hammer 😂😂😂🤣🤣
@@AZExpert Good news James! I’m pretty sure I finally found the water leak in my slide out!!!! The power cable for the 16’ awning motor is behind a plastic cover. Where the cable went into the slide out, is near where I was finding water. The original foam was pretty much gone. Filled it with silicone caulk. Also, Schwintek slide out was pulling in and then motor would spin backward and allow the seals to push it out 1/8 to 3/16”. Talked to Lippert, must replace motor. Even though it works, needs replacement. Don’t work too hard James! BTW, the wife thinks maybe we should go to Grand Canyon. If I need some repair work, I could get you to do it! Respectfully, Kevin
It’s difficult to overstate just how useful your vids are to motorhome owners.
I really appreciate that
First repair hit it with a hammer
Second repair hit it a little harder.
Priceless
Thanks for all the info you give us!
this is one you don't want to do as a mobile job, customer's don't like being charged seeing you just hit something with a hammer. :)

Thanks!!
I just used this technique last week too.
Fixed her with the ol Tonya Harding!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
That works
Stuck valves
Derek got a fancy going to town Tonya Harding last night on their live stream...
Right on, thank you for making this video. Now I know what hydronic heating is.
Glad to help
Good Video, Short and to the point . So many drag it out for 20 minuets. Thank You.
Glad you liked it!
I am concerned about the water on the ground. I know you said not to worry about it, but I do.
Very helpful video.
well, I changed out the water pump, and found a very large leak when I turned it on.
Thanks for another video, even the quick ones are educational. Glad you are busy and doing well.
Glad you like them!
So exercising the Aqua Hot is as important as the generator great to know. Great fix and content thank you!
yes, very important.
Always bring a hammer. Good to know about this fix, thanks James. Happy trails!
I gave up using my meat hammer too late in life. lol
Dude, i LOVE your video's! You're absolutely amazing - lots & lots of common sense!
Thank-you! :)
Thank you so much for these videos I learn a lot about systems and construction methods and it’s all greatly appreciated
Glad you like them!
I didn't even come here for this issue, but am very glad I did. Your videos are awesome - here and on TT. Hope you keep it up!
Much appreciated! :) Thanks for watching!

That's what I'm sayin'!

Another great tip. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Quick & Dirty info is fine!! Thx!!
No problem!
That’s why one pays the mechanic, they know where to use the hammer👍

@@AZExpert no its right angle and force of hammer great job...
I’ll check mine!!! Thank you!

Thanks James. Another great video. You knew what the problem was and how to fix it.
It is a good repair. If it continues then I would recommend replacing but I have done this many times now and it has lasted
If I was wanting to be a cub for rv repair. I would dream of this guy to be his prodigy.
Yo AZ E, That is awesome. Thanks for the share. Cheers
Thanks for watching!
Mechanic favorite tool is the hammer. If that doesn't work get a bigger hammer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
words to live by
informational, and useful. Thank you for squeezing in a short vid.
Glad it was helpful!
Did you get a red fault light on the panel indicating a fault? For example we have a red LED light on our pump 1 indicator on our panel.

Thank you, thank you thank you perfect it fixed it!!!!
Glad I could help! I just used this method today too
A tap on the directional check valve 👍thx brother have a great day 👏
Thanks, you too!
my wife would be a master at fixing these.
Good for her! Thanks for watching!
How do you check the water level in take for the furnace
Great info, Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Will this for the hot water?
Since you work on RVs and all kinds of them do you have one make or model that you would recommend for quality
there is no perfect RV made, the first question is what do you plan to use it for
The older the unit the bigger the hammer. 😂😂

Hammer can fix alot of stuff
nearly anything worth fixing requires it at some point

There was a chance it was the pumps, I was hoping it was not.
@@AZExpert I bet
I need to take the cover off mine and see. Might be in for new pumps
While repairing cars, we call that a calibrated bump. 🤣
I'lll use that next video
Can you use a ballpein hammer or does it have to be a claw hammer ?
You really Knocked that video out quickly.
naturally, as hitting it with a hammer is a mechanics mantra, the motto of every mechanic is "every tool's a hammer"

a small one, or of course anything you currently have in your hand at the time.
A brass one
Ingenious!
thanks!
Very useful video... Treat it like an old Nissan, Hit it with a hammer.
Good idea!
I'm having a problem with low hot water pressure, the cold water pressure is great, but when you turn it to hot water, the pressure just turns to a dribble
Should change out to wing screws would make it much easier..
that's a good idea
I like repairs that involve only my impact driver and a framing hammer.
What about the meat hammer?
@@AZExpert OHHHHH damn haha... im a mobile tech, most of the time i gotta keep the meat hammer in its place when i got clients around
I found my heating problem The case is cracked The ears is broke can I bring it to you so when you have a chance to fix it
sorry, I would recommend john carillo heatmyrv.com

they're the right valves installed by Aquahot

Hammer ia one of the best tools..unless your installing glass...then it's easy does it..lol
Ive tried that too
If t doesn't work, get a bigger hammer 🔨

of course
