His anxious avoidant attachment style - love bombing, silent treatment, bread crumbing , words don't match actions, are all very unattractive and 15 years off/on have reached their limit. Someone who is not willing to get professional help healing their childhood wounds doesn't make for a good partner in life. They are not happy and therefore bleed their unhappiness onto everyone else. EMDR & active work on attachment style healing is imperative for their growth. I wish him the best, but I'm not sacrificing my happiness. We all have shadow work to do and when one's ego gets in the way there is always heart break.
