I've loved Pokemon actually still do, im 22 and I play both the tcg and video games till to this day. Haven't watched the anime in such a long time but I definitely loved the first 4 generations of the anime last one I watched was The Shinnoh seasons. Very classic didn't think you'd start this but you know this is a legendary show and franchise so im hyped :) hope you enjoy it 😀

Only the original. There's over 1200 episodes of Pokemon. She's said she probably won't react to One Piece cuz it's too long and pokemon is longer than that

@@Yoshi-JDLH I dropped somewhere in season 14 or 15 since I kinda lost interest (and I was OBSESSED by this when I was 7, lol) and later episodes weren't that good imo. I never saw like XY, Sun & Moon and other later parts (only a glimpse of it), especially because I felt like it's not the Pokemon I always knew.. but I'll maybe give it a shot one day..
my cousins are watching the latest episodes not knowing the origin.. but I don't think they care xD
@@Daesma999 as someone who has watched over 1200 episodes of it I’d say Black and White is by far the worst part of Pokémon the best 2 series we’re Diamond and Pearl and XY only reason I have XY over DP is probably that DP was too long and Serena is the best Pokegirl so far also the battles were amazingly animated Sun and Moon got a lot of hate cuz of the weird art style but the show itself wasn’t that bad tbh not as good as XY but still pretty good and the current series is just as good as SM if not better still not on the level of DP or XY but that’s pretty hard to do.

I'm game for this. This show is a long one, but most certainly a fun ride. It'd be a good chill anime for you to react to take a breather from the more dark and serious anime.

In my humble opinion, Pokémon just keeps getting better and better right up until Pokémon Advance, and that’s when it starts slowly declining until Black & White where it just tanked. However, X&Y brought it back up to being really good again - and I haven’t watched any other season since then for a number of unrelated reasons.
Oh... keep watching my man... sun and moon, and then Pokémon journeys who is the curent season are amazing...

@@pxllfx3207 They didn't change timeline for the record. The artstyle changed drastically but it is the same Ash and there are callbacks to past events in both SM and Journeys.
Not wanting to watch is okay but don't spread misinformation.

Ash’s Pikachu is actually a male, you can tell by looking at its tail. If a Pikachu’s tail is flat at the end, then it is a male. But if a Pikachu’s tail has a heart at the end, then it’s a female.

I met Pokemon through this episode of the anime when I was 6 years old and that's how my love for Pokemon began, now I'm 29 years old and although I don't watch anime anymore I still play Pokémon games, I follow youtubers who also play. Pokemon is a well-known franchise around the world that many people still like after 25 years of existence. I will continue playing your video games.

Charmander is my starter Pokemon in red and blue.
And here's my other starter Pokemon in other versions:
Gold, silver and crystal: Cyndaquill.
Ruby, sapphire and emerald: Torchic.
Diamond, pearl and platinum: Chimchar.
Black, white, black 2 and white 2: Tepig.
X and y: Fennekin.
Sun, moon, ultra sun and ultra moon: Litten.
Sword and shield: Scorbunny.
Now I chose Cyndaquill again in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Pokemon brings back good memories.
Watch the whole first season this time.

I'm proud to say that the first technology I held as a child was an original edition ds. I loved pokemon and collected the cards religiously. If you aren't in on pokemon yet, your missing out I promise it's worth watching.

I love this anime, Hoenn is my favorite part of the whole show. Every time I have played Pokémon Fire Red or Leaf Green I liked to start with Bulbasaur, really love sleep powder and the poison.

English dub censors a little, but it is a classic. Like when Misty first meets Ash, she totally slaps him in the face for putting Pikachu in danger lol
But the dub makes it a weird cut so you see her holding her hand up for some weird reason

Fun little detail: This series started before Pokemon Genders were a thing but nowadays you can tell Pikachus gender by the shape of it's tail Male's look like a lightning bolt and Female's look like a heart

Ash going for squirtle and bulbasaur was just the logical approach. The first gym is rock and second is water
after watching anime like naruto,AOT,demon slayer etc you have started to watch pokemon.....pokemon's great, but still when you have watched these extreme animes, going back and enjoying a kids show with no deaths, blood etc can be difficult
i mean techniquelly there's still daethsq in the pokemon anime tho ... not a lot sure but still there are a few xD

Damn, this show is up there with One Piece in terms of episode count. If you combine all the seasons together, there is over 1000 episodes.
It's 75% filler though.

They should revamp the series coz after 2nd or third region it got really bit out of context..they could have series more serious after some time skip and make ash bit older and be the best one...They just didn't take this too serious this might be really good story if they little think..Like ash dad and other legendary pokemon etc..but oh well..

It was actually Jason Paige who sang the Pokemon Theme. I saw him at a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament in Denver a couple months ago, where he sang the Pokemon Theme right before the first round.

First Pokémon game I got was blue for my 8th birthday and that was before gold and silver even existed.
But kids today don’t even know what game boys are or even get the concept of having to have a link cable to connect with your friends just to trade Pokémon and battle each other because there was no such thing as wireless, wi-fi or online play back then.

I remember the promo for Pokémon when it aired on Kids WB and they said there's 150 Pokémon when I saw this episode and @16:40 when I saw oh ho (that's the Pokémon's name) I was like oh there is more than 150 Pokémon and yep
