    Hello! I have a small question.
    I am going to take
    1. Biology
    2. Chemistry
    3. Co-ordinated Sciences (that counts as 2 subjects)
    4. English Language
    5. Environmental Management
    6. Core maths
    7. Additional maths
    I am still unsure what I will do in the future but I have been told by my parents that these subjects will open doors for me.
    Although I am quite unsure because these are very similar. Just specialized in science, maths and English.
    My question is; are these subjects good enough for progress or should I take more diversity?
    (I cannot take a language because I have not learnt any of them 2 years back, for business it may not be useful for me in the future if self employed businesses start failing (and I can always learn about it myself by reading books for common sense), I do not think that psychology, geo and history will be any useful unless I want to end up as a therapist, a librarian or a history teacher.. (even though geo and history are my best year 9 subjects) so I am still wondering on this, and if I could use a little help to show a right path I would appreciate it.
    Thank you for this helpful video!

      Our Admissions team can help with course selection. However, we would not recommend taking IGCSE Biology and Chemistry and Co-ordinated Sciences as the content in the Co-ordinated sciences will be the same as for the single science subjects.

    Hi, I wanna ask you one question? To become a business woman, which subjects should I choose? I have to choose 8 subjects. Business studies and Economics are really important as I've learned. What other subjects should I choose for business?
    My IGCSE class let me choose at least 5 subjects in 8 subjects. These are
    1. English as second language
    2. Mathematics
    3. ICT
    4. Computer Science
    5. Business studies
    6. Economics
    7. Physics
    8. Chemistry
    I've chosen Business studies, Economics, Maths, English as second language and Computer science.
    In ICT, Physics and chemistry, which subject should I choose or should I remove? No matter how many subjects that I've to learn. But if I can remove, I would like to remove some subjects that is not very important for Business.

      At IGCSE level we would always recommend a broad choice of subjects so that you don't close off any doors too soon. You have a good core of business related subjects, so also pick some other subjects that you enjoy and are good at.

      that Cambridge ICE allowed.

    Which subjects i should to choose to Get a Job at Google or apple or to start a IT Company ?

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  3 года назад

      We would always recommend taking a good mix of subjects at IGCSE level so that you don't limit your choices if you change your mind later on. English and Maths IGCSEs are often a requirement of employers and Universities. Other subjects we offer that you might like to consider would be Computer Science and the Sciences. We'd also recommend that if you have a particular career in mind doing some of your own research (contacting companies in that field, researching online etc) to get a better idea of what route you will need to take which will depend on the type of role you'd want to do.

    Hi
    I wanna ask about what subjects shall I choose in IGCSE to become a dentist.
    In my country, I should study 8 subjects so what subjects shall I choose.
    If anybody has an answer please answer me.
    Thankyou

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  3 года назад

      Maybe a good starting point is to look at a University you might want to take your Dentistry qualification with. From here you should be able to see what qualifications they would require in order for you to join the course. Then from this, it will probably make it easier to work out which subjects you will defintely need to take at A level and make sure you are taking these at IGCSE level. Most UK Universities would also require English and Maths at IGCSE level. You can then make up your other subjects from ones you enjoy and are good at. Hope this helps.

    Can we teach our students only one subject for IGCSE like only arts or science ???

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  2 года назад

      Thanks for your question. With Wolsey Hall Oxford you can take as many or as few subjects as you wish. Many of our students for example use Wolsey Hall to supplement their education if their school does not provide a subject. So they will be in a traditional school doing most of their subjects and perhaps also doing Latin or Computer Science with Wolsey Hall.

    I gave my English as a my first language along with ESL do they both count as two separate subjects, 2 out 8 subjects? Or will it count as 1

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  3 года назад

      Thanks for your question. Please could you clarify if you mean you have already taken both subjects or are you asking if it is OK to take both English Language and English Second Language? If the latter, then we would recommend that you only take one, as they are for different purposes - English Language would demonstrate you are a proficient English speaker while ESL is for people who need to build up their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.

    Is it better to have less than perfect scores in 10-12 subjects than better scores in 8? Don’t know if I get extra credit for better overall scores or if i get credit on how many subjects I took

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  2 года назад

      There are lots of things to consider. For example, if you are not sure of the direction you want your future studies to go, you may decide to study more subjects to keep your options open. It is also worth contacting Further Education establishments you may be interested in attending for degree level etc, to see if they have any preferred number of IGCSE subjects for their entry criteria. Top universities may expect more IGCSEs to have been taken but for many 8 subjects will be perfectly acceptable.

      Hello Usra. We would recommend you have a look at the entry requirements of a few Universities where you think you might like to do a degree in Medicine. This will help you make sure you do the correct IGCSEs and then the right A Levels to apply for these Medicine courses. We have a little bit on information on A level choices for Medicine on our website; wolseyhalloxford.org.uk/choosing-your-a-level-subjects/

    Hello from botswana . My name is Tshegofatso( first) or Sali (Second) . I am a disabled user and I schooled in private school in special needs in The Learning Center School which is a American school and to me it was a waste of time and money. Now I am doing it and I feel happy 😊 and I am stress free . Cause that school was something else.
    Good Question is business studies the Same as Economics. Because before I was doing 4 subjects
    Mathematics
    Combined science.
    Im now doing Mathematics, double science , Accounting, business studies and economics , Because I dropped biology i am not sure which one to drop between business, Economics. Question :Are they the same.
    What study something to do with cars on lamborghini urus , Ferrari Roma, (NOT On the Track :le man, formula 1, rallyrace and etc. ) but the road posrsche , range rover sport svr, bmw x5.

    • @WolseyHallOxford
      @WolseyHallOxford  2 года назад

      Business and Economics are two different subjects but are closely related. Some universities advise that combinations of A level subjects with similar content should be avoided. For example if you propose studying A level Economics and A level Business you are advised to contact universities before making decisions as Universities may only allow you to count one of these subjects towards your A level total as the course content has similarities.
