A 12 volt 3000 gallon per hour bilge pump used by Mariners and boat owners costs from US$50 to $150. You can build your own solar powered waterfall and backyard pond using just 50-200 volt solar panel(s) and a bilge pump. But, if continuous power is needed, then you’ll need to have a controller, inverter and battery to operate your backyard water-feature system.
The camera really makes it look like it's 1 feet of head, but the ridge was at least 7 feet, and the pump was submersed about 4 feet, so it was roughly 10. In a couple of our other videos we show 15 feet & 20 feet, with not much difference in water flow. 35 feet is where it starts to show some significant loss.
Hi am Tony from kenya a large scale farmer i really enjoyed all your videos on your solar powered pumps and i definately know your product will perform absolutely well here in kenya if you can manage to bring it here in east africa
Make a ram pump with some PVC and brass valves. Might take a while to move the water, but you sure as hell won’t be paying a million dollars for this 200 dollar setup.
The strength and thickness and material of a hose have nothing to do with friction losses in the pipe the big contributing factors are whether internal diameter, smooth wall or corrugated wall and surface roughness.
Water seeks level, 10ft of head, I call bullshit! you were not more that 3ft above lake level, yes your system is impressive and has great potential and I completely endorse and appreciate it for its extraordinary capabilities, but please don’t misrepresent an awesome product such as this! it could result in its demise from lawsuits stemming from false advertisement, which would suck because your product and profit potential is almost limitless!
Hi there, I made this video and I'd like to respond to a few things. 1) It's 10 feet at the 120 foot test, you're just going to need to take my word for it. The camera angles won't show the gradual incline over 120 feet, and the rocks near the river looks like it was about 1 foot from the waterline, but in reality it was at least 4-5 (at the discharge spot, you may notice the sharp increase at the end). It's one of those things that you would really just need to be there. I suppose in the future I'll need to grab a tape measure and reassure the viewers I'm not deliberately misrepresenting the capabilities. 2) The pump was submerged at least 5 feet on top of that. 3) I did a test here: ruclips.net/video/uKKqX83EM70/видео.html&ab_channel=BlackForestSolar that easily shows 3200 GPH at 15 feet, much shorter distance mind you, but it's easily capable of the water flow in the non-scientific calculation that I did. Catching me red handed in BS is simply not true. Am I a foot or two short? Possibly. In either event I do appreciate your kind comments. It is a kick-ass system and I bet someone will capitalize on it in the future. I don't think I'll be getting sued anytime soon as I''ve since moved onto other more successful projects and have abandoned this. I've provided the blueprints on the product page details so people can go build this themselves if they wish, which I would highly encourage. Should cost anyone $1000-1300 picking up the items online.
Apologies, great video, I mistakenly thought head was the same as elevation, and you were claiming that much output at 10ft in elevation, total head takes into account total losses due to pipe sizing and frictional losses in a length of hose, which I did not, thank you for correcting me, I retract my statement, have a blessed day!
For 260k, you'd think you'd get a battery at least... I was thinking this set up was worth 5k most...lol I can't imagine what cost sooo much in this system. 260k...
Ha ha. This is so funny lol over $600k for the ‘system’ on their website. I love it. I’ll buy 2 a second one to pump the water back to where I took it from. The other end of the pond Thanks. Ha ha
That is not 10 feet of head. That isn't 5 feet. It might be 3 feet when you consider the pump is below the water line. Why lie? Show the actual lift capability.
Your website is only giving the option for purchasing 500 or 1000 ( 500 = $523,650.00 or 1000 =$990,420.00) not sure where the $770,140.97 comes from. I think I'll pass on this if you can't even get basic math down much less basic physics for water flow.
10’ feet of lift (head or vertical rise) he says. Though he could stub his foot and step in the water a foot away. I liked the product until I saw the lies coming from its salesman. Now I’m not sure it wasn’t powered by a generator off screen or who knows what… because we know he will lie.

@@LOGDOG5375 They changed it .. under number of units there is a drop down .. and added FOB (dunno what that means) .. but its priced per unit.
Price is confusing, hm is it
Superb system thanks for posting 🙂
Almost a MILLION DOLLARS This guy thinks he is the only Pepsi Cola Of the Desert !!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
10 feet of head? Water is always level so you are only about a foot or so above where your pump is.

how will this work with increased elevation?
10' of head? I guess water is not level at this testing site?

@@thebigcheese1653: Head is calculated from above the water's surface not the depth of the pump.
You cannot subtract the 4' depth of the pump.

How much is both because I need a pump to help on the farm getting water for the farm and helping in irritating crops
Hello my friend....love the pump...are you the manufacturer????
Hi. I have a quick question. Those solar panels look pretty big. I thought that there might be 1000 watts.
how is this almost a million dollars?
I’m looking for a good American made waterfall pump for my backyard.
Okay tell him where can I get sollar pump round zim
The strength and thickness and material of a hose have nothing to do with friction losses in the pipe the big contributing factors are whether internal diameter, smooth wall or corrugated wall and surface roughness.
I think he was trying to say that the rubber exspanded so it took longer to get through it
Dude!! Its half a million dollars for the kit!
For 500 systems
How much did it all cost
Have you done any test with any head distance like 20’
“Solar Irrigation Pump Kit 3000 Gallons Per Hour (No Battery Needed)
Regular price $523,650.00”
Great Product, but price Has to be a MAJOR typo?
Make reservoir at the top, then make it electricity

you guys need to fix you website. There is no way anybody is going to pay $770,140.97 for this or any system like this.
Could you please tell where can we get this pump and solar pannel?
Black forest solar.com
He mentions on his site for 1 million dollars

1/4 of a million is the price for 500
Is that really the price ?😳😳😳😳
What is available in India
Now make it lift water , it won't very well , good for a bilge pump that's all
Who would spend this much for pond equipment? Depending on state you could live in a mansion for that price
You can't bring the water on top of the hill
500k?
How much does a solar pump cost
OVER 500 THOUSANDS DOLLARS!
Ha ha. This is so funny lol over $600k for the ‘system’ on their website. I love it. I’ll buy 2 a second one to pump the water back to where I took it from. The other end of the pond Thanks. Ha ha

Split the flow
10 foot head lol….your only about 18” from the lake surface!
$770, 140.97 ???? This pump must turn the water into wine. I mean, it has too cuz these people are drunk.
Cheaper compared to running power line to the back part of the yard.
over half Million dollars. I will pass
Shut up and take my money!
Oh boy, with not feet of head.

This is a joke - no seriously - price is ridiculous and there is no reason it should cost so much.
Almost 1million ? This is a straight rip off
Way too expensive, there are products as good for 1/3 the price
